In April 2024 I ordered a Modern from Next Gen Musical in Nepean, ON before I found out there were two versions, but it fits my MIM Standard Tele just fine. My cost was $402.44 CDN, HST included and free shipping. $540 is wishful thinking for the seller. I have yet to set it the action and intonation and tension but it looks good. It only does down tune, no pulling up, but I have a Les Paul Tribute with a Duesenberg Les Trem II for that 😀

Lo necesito ya!!! necesito una versión para Tele con Humbuckers algún día!!!
Ok, your original VegaTrem is a fantastic trem. This one not so much. Drilling your Tele is what I would call a major modification to the guitar. Also the bridge in the video looks crooked compared to the pick guard. I would think placement has to be precise on that part of the instal? I hope you come up with an improved version on this as its a cool idea.
Classic, 71mm between the string holes to the top screw of the bridge pickup; Modern, 66mm. See attached scheme for each of the products: vegatrem.com/tremolo-shop/
@@VegaTrem Wow I finally found AN ANSWER to this question I have been searching for for hours!! I have also written to VT to ask... btw that link does not take you to where there is an answer to this question that EVERYBODY who wants to buy one NEEDS to know . TBH I am in disbelief that it is so difficult to find an answer to this question, there are other videos about this trem where people have asked this question but no one has answered. Also other people who just bought one who didnt know they needed to get the right measurements.. some got lucky some got the wrong one. I am shaking my head.
Todo iba bien hasta que coloque el fulcro mi tele tiene el hueco del pickup muy grande, trendre que añadir madera o sera que debi ordernar el Classic. Mi tele es una Peavey Reactor USA de los 80s
2:27 what about the part where you need to check if everythings’s perfectly positioned to line up with the neck for the strings?? And to outrightly lie and say no modifications are needed as the main selling point, only to find out you have to drill holes in the guitar? I’ll stick to Bigsby and Duesenberg.
FYI - be careful with which version you order! I have a mexican player telecaster and was advised by vegatrem to order the "modern" version, however it just arrived and doesn't fit (in hindsight i should have just measured the distance). If you have a mexican telecaster you should order the "classic" version.
Way too expensive for what the final outcome is. I bought one this past weekend and it has to be the worst trem system when it comes to using it while playing. To get the guitar to have decent tuning stability you have to have the springs tightened down to such an extent that you have to exert a lot of force on the arm in order to get any vibrato. Also you can't pull up at all or it goes out of tune. This product should never have been released to market. Way too many flaws.
I thought these didn't require modification of the guitar? Seems having to drill new holes is a modification...
Right! They should say with no routing. But drilling two holes is a modification.
Oh no
@@robertneff2061 In fairness, if the old bridge goes back on it will cover the hole.
ND version (no drill) is now available and shipping

Wow I'm excited about this product! First I've seen it!
Can't wait for mine to be delivered!
Very, very cool. Any chance of getting a version for Thinline/bridge humbucker teles?
We are working on it!
@@VegaTrem yesssss!

These look fantastic, especially if they eventually come in a Gold Plated version
YES ALL MY GUITARS HAVE GOLD HARDWARE, SO I GUESS I AM OUT OF LUCK.
I'm really interested in this product but I don't like the idea of drilling my expensive instrument
How about the ground wire?
If grounding worked before switching it’ll work afterwards. Nothing changes.
@@smutsharry unlikely. fulcrum is no substitute for a wire
I want a vegatrem for the Fender Duo Sonic model :')
Brilliant
Why do the Spanish instructions for drilling say a 2mm drill bit, and the English ones say 1.5mm?
Thanks for the warning! Not being important, it is better with 2mm
Will this work on an affinity telecaster?
Do you have to drill on all teles?
Where do you measure to find out if your Tele is classic or modern?
Classic, 71mm between the string holes to the top screw of the bridge pickup; Modern, 66mm. See attached scheme for each of the products: vegatrem.com/tremolo-shop/

I'f hardly call a drilled 2mm hole that will sit under the plate a modification..
