Squad needs fine tuning in the summer and a mini overhaul. Get rid of the likes of Wilson, Almiron, Dummet, Ritchie, Fraser and any other dead wood in the squad. Enough is enough.

Who is the first player I would buy? 100% Lucas Paquetá. Not only is Lucas a 'big occasion player', a total professional, but also he would greatly compliment and combine with his best pal Bruno, making Bruno a much better player and equally so Lucas would be a better player too. Bruno and he would go turbo. Would Lucas want to join his mate at Newcastle Utd? Absolutely yes.
How the hell they managed to get an extended highlights video out of that match is the real achievement. Murphy and almeron together dont make a league 2 player.

Only selves to blame to be fair. We are in the place we deserve. Apart from Liverpool defeat where they beat us yet again in the last ten mins, and maybe the 2-2 draw with West Ham earlier on, all results were fair considering.
Since pre season, training and playing premier league teams in the boiling weather doing nothing at all. So a few players wanted to impress so badly for their countries and insta, they dropped out like flies in America and we had kids on the bench. A sign of what was to come. And if not for Anderson, we’d have lost most of our games in pre season. So the players had to step up, but each time they tried that they’d get another set back with an injury either in attack, in the middle or in defence. This happened every week.
We’ve in honesty been too weak in the midfield. When we had the likes of willock or joe, we still weren’t great. We had Bruno, Sean, Miley and Anderson most of the season and they just didn’t defend well enough, or move well enough. It’s only cos of Bruno form lately everyone says he’s sone really well.
Then there’s the defensive issues. Botman didn’t look right. Burn was Brillaint but not when he was beaten for pace, pope getting injured wobbled is cos we no longer had a really good safe keeper, Martin at first kept making mistakes, tino made errors cos he was too high up the pitch, hall wasn’t playing, Targett was injured, Kieran made mistakes cos he had one eye on Munich, Jamal was solid at times but then he’d walk around and lose his attacker, and the exception was Fabian Schar really.
Then in attack we’ve had virtually the same team every game. Isak burns himself out and drifts off second half a lot, Wilson wasn’t fully fit since he got two against wolves that’s why he missed that chance against Dortmund which would have sent us through, Gordan still young has energy, miggy turned wasteful and wasn’t hungry, Murphy we missed for depth same with Barnes who judt needs a run of games, minteh we stupidly didn’t recall from Holland… so a heavily depleted team.
Finally the media. Local media, fans have been talking too much, over expecting all season every game, expecting teams who score goals to not score against us 🤦🏻♂️, but the media with the same stupid questions towards Eddie every time. Again and again.
News flash - we already have 3 maybe 4 left bscks. Hall didn’t sign for a fee he was on loan. We have right bscks. Burn has now shifted so perhaps we can sign a back up, maybe we won’t. And we have a packed midfield with Sandro, the two joes etc to come back so there won’t be any centre mid being signed either. Yet people still believe they’re will be. Need to stop with the constant nonsense over transfers.
Even so, we’ve had a good season. Been to Europe, travelled, gone against the best, that’s what y wanted. Had big results albeit usually by a small scoreline, we’ve players who have scored twice as many times as the usually would like Schar, Longstaff and burn, and Gordan ! We’ve Sandro to come back, we’ve scored 96 goals so far this season, we’ve had cup runs but lost throigh a last minute error and throigh going up against giants, we’ve had togetherness, spirit, confidence in sone ways (more meeded tho) and we in a good postion.
All in all it’s about right. Chelsea have come good cos they’ve a big squad of attacking players, Man U we’ve beaten three times in a row but they usually finish higher than us, so it is what it is.
There’s not going to be an overhaul in the summer. I doubt big players will go besides perhaps miggy and fringe players like dummett who we know is off. There’s not going be 7 key signings. And next season we won’t win every game!
i think atleast that almiron sell , wilson sell/trade , miley loan "he has a bright future" , ritchie sell/loan , dummet sell and then i think we gonna get a young reliver bench for isak. and then some more future players but i doubt any big buys or sells. but thats my opinion they might do and howe is there to stay period
