Thank God this video is still up. I work in a school kitchen and we have one of these. I didn't really know how to use it until now. I plan on shredding some cheese with it and it's also good to know the cheese should be frozen.

I recently upgraded from a Cuisinart to a Robot Coupe R301 Ultra. I had no idea what a difference there was between the two products. The Cuisinart cost around $150.00 and the Robot Coupe R301 Ultra cost around $1500.00 (about 10 times the price). The Robot Coupe gets the job done without having to work around the numerous limitations in the Cuisinart. So far it has shown itself to be worth every dollar that I paid for it.

That's right Vivienne. A Cuisinart is a retail machine (home use), but the Robot Coupe is made for commercial applications and will last about 10 years longer than the Cuisinart if cared for as instructed.

Cuisinarts are good for basic home use. Robot Coupe Food Processors are designed for Commercial use. Yes, the Robot Coupe is a far more robust machine.

Due to my job I do not have time to cook every day. I have to cook fairly large batches on the weekend,. put the food in hotel pans and eat it during the week. My Robot Coupe 301 Ultra was a perfect solution to my time constraint issues. Now I can prepare fairly large batches of great tasting healthy food for the week, and do it in a fairly short time period over the weekend. This eleminated eating restaurant food during the week. The smaller Cuisinart was just too small to do what I needed.

@@ItzKamo In my case the feed through design of the Robot Coupe allowed me to process store bought quantities without having to repeatedly empty the bowl. My Robot Coupe will slice 2 pounds of mushrooms, a large batch of collard greens, mustard greens, turnip greens in one continuous operation. Because I don't have to constantly empty the processor bowl the prep time is reduced to a few minutes. I started with a Cuisinart home use processor and constantly struggled processing smaller batch quantities at a time. After purchasing the Robot Coupe and the feed through attachment, I gave my Cuisinart away to a friend.

I wish the R2 had the magnetic safety mechanism.

    • @postholedigger8726

The R2 uses a mechanical safety interlock switch and the 301 uses a magnetic safety switch. This gives the buyer a choice

"bro.. one is home use and the other is pro" A lot of "professional" grade equipment used is restaurants is not suitable for a home kitchen. You certainly would not need a 180,000 BTU 12 burner cooking range or a 60 quart mixer in your home kitchen to produce smaller home quantity meals. That said, there are items intended for restaurant use that can be used in either a home kitchen or a restaurant kitchen. Some of these tools and machines are more expensive than the home products for example: The Robot Coupe 301 Ultra in this video as opposed to a Cuisinart Food Processor or a Hobart N50 mixer as opposed to a KitchenAid stand mixer. The N50 is a much more reliable machine due to its overall construction and the fact that the beater does not slow down under a load. This makes the product more consistent and repeatable. The N50 mixer does not break down under repeated tough loads.
This video shows a piece of kitchen equipment that would never be considered for home use. I put one in my home kitchen and now feel that it is the best kitchen machine I ever purchased. Video link

Is this model good for making dipping sauces and pastes? Like Hummus? I am thinking about getting this model for my cafe to use for that purpose and as well as cutting vegetables

I have both the R2 and 301 Ultra machines. The R2 uses a mechanical mechanism for the safety interlock and the 301 Ulltra uses a magnetic switch. The feed through on the R2 feeds out the back of the machine and the feed through on the 301 feeds out on the side. This makes it more convenient for my uses. Other than that the machines are similar.

I am from Australia and recently purchased R301 Ultra. D
I have 2slicing discs a grater and julienne blade. However I wanted to buy a French fry chipper and a few dicer kit sizes.
When I rang a Robot Coupe rep company in Sydney, they said it is impossible to dice and chip on a R301 Ultra D model.
    Is this true ?

The "R301 DICE Ultra" comes with a 10mm Dicing Kit, and 8mm and 12mm Dicing Kits are available. There are also 8mm and 10mm French Fry Kits available. Many slicing plates are available for the R301 Dice Ultra if you want to make chips. The R301 Ultra does not dice.

Nice video guys. My 301 uLtra D looks identical to this model, it is really annoying that after investing in this machine I cannot dice or that robot coupe don't make an attachment to retro fit it

    Can it dice scallions?

    • @postholedigger8726
      @postholedigger8726 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

Scallions would normally be sliced and don't require dicing. Dicing is for solid root vegetableslike that grow beliw the ground like potatoes, turnips, onions, etc.

The price of a 14 cup Cuisinart processor that can process one bowl of product at a time is $249.00. The price of the 301 Ultra with a feed through unit is around $2700.00. That is roughly 10X the price. That said, I bought a 301 Ultra and gave my Cuisinart away to a friend. The Robot Coupe 301 Ultra does what it is supposed to do without time consuming pauses and equipment jams. It is an absolute powerful kitchen workhorse.
