The only possible explanation I could see for why nearly all the Spider-people let Miles bake them so badly is because they were all generally reluctant to actually capture him.

I see all the arguments on why the spidermen couldn’t catch miles, and I agree with most of them simultaneously. 1. They’re reluctant to chase after one of their own 2. Their spider sense wasn’t really going off (since none of them were in active danger), while miles’ was in overdrive 3. Miles did go to weave university, he’s likely one of the smallest spidermen, he’s more nimble in general, and his style of movement is likely unknown to everyone except Miguel and the peeps from SV1 4. Miles is ballin, the guy can think on his feet on par if not better than the others. One of Spider-Man’s best base traits is his ability to prepare for anyone, Miles trait is he’s very adaptable on the fly. My main theory is that Miles' main attribute is agility. Even before becoming spider man he was good at parkour and he was a good runner. You can even see in the first movie how he incorporates parkour and running into his webswinging.

I think there's a couple logical reasons why Miles was able to escape. Firstly I think most of the Spider-people weren't fully on board with catching Miles, especially Peter B and Gwen, they literally tried to help him. The only person hellbent on stopping Miles was Miguel, so it's no surprise that he was the guy closest to catching Miles out of everyone. Secondly, I doubt most of these Spider-people are accustomed to working as a team, since most of them have been working solo for years, so they'd likely be getting in each other's way than actually being able to assist each other. Thirdly, Miles was on the defensive the entire time with his Spidey sense to anticipate every attack. Pair that with the fact that none of the Spider-people wanted to actually hurt him and were likely holding back from using their full strength, it's not unrealistic for Miles to be evading strikes from more experienced Spiders. And of course finally, Miles is a special Spider-person. Most of the spiders have the traditional enhanced strength, spider sense and webbing, but Miles has his venom blast (the electricity thing) as well as invisibility. So when he got pinned by Miguel, he could blast him away, no other Spider-person would be able to escape the situation the way he did, they'd have to muscle Miguel off of them. And then of course, if he didn't have his invisibility, Miguel would've been on his ass on the way down from the train.

Each spider-person (for the sake of example) always has some unique thing about them, but to my knowledge Miles is the only one with two traits like that that also count as superpowers, rather than it being part of a suit. Also, it's true that it seemed they weren't really good at working together and that Miguel was basically the only one seriously after Miles
Honestly I just think it’s as simple as miles on defense and anticipating their moves but since all the spideys were on offense they felt no danger . I feel they were really chasing him

A few things, 1 none of the Spider-men were actually trying to hurt Miles, they were just trying to capture him without hurting him. Even Miguel was initially trying to capture him without hurting him. 2 Mile’s Spider sense helped him avoid their webs and a lot of them ran into each other slowing them down. 3 we see from Peter that Miles can get captured by those of greater skill than him and 4 they were probably all quite reluctant and conflicted about chasing him, mostly trying to make Miles see reason.
You say that as if Miguel didn't slam Miles into the ground or aggressively rip open a shield in attempt to get him, I wouldn't say he was tryna kill miles but he definingly attempted to make him feel a significant amount of pain do to his own anger issues, he also had the perfect chance to capture him once yet he decides he wants to slam him onto the ground.
I've always thought that the reason Miles won was because he was going "Fuck the rules, I'm going to try to save everyone, that's what Spiderman does". He's the one doing what a Spiderman should do, while the rest are going against their nature, and so he got that mental amp

Ok so there’s 2 reasons for this. One, majority of the named spiders just wanted to talk. Miguel was the only one like “put him in a box” and two, miles had the benefit of being on defense so his spider sense made him nearly untouchable against opponents who had no reason to benefit from it. It’s not a perfect excuse because Main continuity Spider-Man showed main miles that can only get you so far vs experience so I wanna say the collective society is like….40% trash lol
also some ppl in the society might not all specialize in combat cause wtf was lego spiderman gonna do in any situation with regular sized spider people☠☠

IMO, part of it is that rather than them being trash, most Spideys aren’t used to working in any kind of group setting and would have no way to experience catching someone else with Spider Sense instead of them
On top of his spider-sense, none of the Spider-people were going for killshots, all of their punches would've been held back slightly and that gave Miles all the more edge he needed. Plus, he could electrocute all their asses if they managed to pin him down, like he did to Miguel to escape.
I think the reason so many Spider Women were THICC is because they probably just reused the same body models with different spider suits. Like choosing Steve or Alex and making a ton of different normal/slim Minecraft skins

Its partly for the sake of the funny chase scene, but I like to think another reason a bunch of Spidermen seem weirdly ineffective is none of them really wanna hurt Miles (they're pretty rough, but hey, they know he can take it) so there's nothing wrong with going a bit slower and letting someone ELSE catch him first. Sorta the "buncha guards chase a dangerous man...but not too quickly" situation.

I strongly believe Miles will work with his alternate prowler self to overcome this? Why? Prowler miles although in a green and purple suit, shows up in red and blue lighting which into the spiderverse has used to denote goodness before, while pruple and green denoted evil. You can see this when peters spidersense kicks in when he see Miles and only when it goes red and blue does he ease off him. So i think prowler miles is a character edging the lime between good and evil
Universe 42 miles was supposed to be spiderman but we all know that didn't happen, so now I feel his evil comes from a place of pragmatism and, "I have to take care of my family, no matter what" and since the death of his father, is probably much more jaded and hardened. Maybe the light is showing who miles42 is supposed to be rather than who he is now tho. We won't know til the third movie

I think the spider society had a problem with Miguel hunting down a 15 year old, that’s why they just pretended to try to help Miguel out, there’s no way *all* of those spider webs could’ve missed edit: something I just realised is that even just *one* of the spider people only needed to knock off miles’ daypass to immobilise him, so yeah ain’t no way those spider people were trying

The thing with Miguel’s squad is that Jessica is 100% gonna turn on Miguel. Jessica deadass saw Gwen talk to the Morales folks & use Hobie’s makeshift watch and let it all slide, plus the only reason Jessica folded prior was because Miguel was right next to her. I personally thought the whole "Unless you bake two cakes," line had some deeper meaning to it, but you just made it clear as day to me. They could do a whole "Since there are two Miles, they can share canon events", such as Prowler Miles's dad dying, thus allowing OG Miles's dad to live. EDIT: Looking back, I don't really know if this theory fully holds up. After considering it, I think how they might explain it would be that Spot is the real source of all of the anomalies, as it was him that brought the spider from Earth 42. Another detail is that when Indian Spiderman's world starts to collapse, Spot's theme plays with a blackhole forming, instead of everyone disappearing similar to Miguel's mistake. It also doesn't appear that disrupting 'canon' really does anything, such as Gwen's dad no longer being police captain, but nothing really happening. I don't know how that would play into Miguel messing up the canon, but I would say that is the best bet considering what we know.

One of them would be focused on helping Jeff and the other focused on stopping Miguel and the Spider-Society while fighting alongside Gwen's own squad. Either way, he will get to keep both of his parents by the end. Maybe his mom will die on Earth 42 but not on 1610. Miles will get his happily ever after and continue to be Spider-Man after the portals are all closed. He will still visit his friends and him and Gwen will crash in each other's dimensions.
In addition to the things mentioned by others (IE the spiderman been reluctant to capture miles or being conflicted) I may also mention that none of them were probably trying to actually harm him (whilst capturing him) - In my experience with martial arts it’s often times harder to hold back against someone who is actually trying their hardest, Even if there is a skill gap.
I may also mention, That most variations of Spider-Man work better solo, And in this case they may have been getting in their own way. So while miles simply has to avoid everyone. Each and every of those Spider-Man have to not only not getting each other’s way but catch miles without seriously hurting him. - Another possibility that they may have shy’d away from for simplicity in story, There are likely multiple Miles’ IN that facility (As we have seen different versions of miles in different comics/shows) And the spider society is Clearly large enough that not all of them know each other on a personal level.

It's also all about Miles wanting to control his own destiny, and Miguel probably being somewhat jealous of that freedom that Miles feels he has in deciding who he can save or not, it's not his cockiness that Miguel thought it was, it was Miles confidence in himself and in his ability to save lives, and never have to take a life if avoidable, that makes him even more angry. But he did ragdoll Miles when angry, the other part of it is though, both Miguel and Miles are right. They really are correct in their views. Peter B Parker does help Miles because he doesn't want to see him like the other Spider-people, he wants him to write his own future and path.

Miles wouldn't conform to what Miguel wanted from him, and even seeing Pater B Parker and Gwen not side with Miles at first, messed me up because that is not in their character to really sit on the sidelines. I really thought "Peter B Parker is going to come to his senses and help Miles." I was a little disappointed that he didn't try to help sooner.

I'll never understand why Gwen is getting a lot of hate. Her entire life embodies the pain and suffering a Spiderman experiences everyday, because whatever choice she does has a great consequence. She hid the truth from her only friend, but that is because the truth will hurt him. If she did tell him everything, she will be the biggest reason why both Miles and the multiverse is in danger. People never took her perspective into account, which is ironic because she had an entire introduction showing just how her life is falling apart, to the point where even the only family she had left is also turning against her. And after ending up alone and homeless, she was told his dad is gonna die, and her long distance friend was a mistake this entire time goddamn ☠☠😭
She was in his world when Miles got bit, she knows he blames himself for Peter’s death the same as she blames herself for her Peter’s death, she watched him struggle and come into his own all throughout the first movie, watched him lose his uncle in the climax, then when no one believed in him saw him succeed and adopt the mantle finally viewing him as an equal and an irreplaceable friend. Then after a short excursion across the multiverse came into his universe to catch a villain she decides to not share a thing, lies about why she is there, then when the majority of spider society is against Miles once again doesn’t have his back until at the end her pops talks some sense into her and she realizes holy shit maybe I’m wrong. She had a complete character regression, end of movie one would beat some sense into beginning of movie two Gwen. Hobie however immediately helps Miles and resigns when they try to lock him down. Spiderbyte met this dude 5 minutes earlier and has the level of empathy to help him out as well. That’s why she is getting roasted. Good movie tho 10/10

The canon event is the captain's death. As an anomaly, I think Miles has the power to change some canon events without breaking the universe, kinda like how Gwen's father did not break canon by retiring, since he and Gwen's Spider-persona weren't close. personally, i nelieve that if a disrupted canon event can be patched up (or wasn't supposed to be canon) the universe will be fine, but too many minor events or one major event disrupted will destroy the universe.

Lol no, where you get this head Canon from? Peter has the stronger Spider Sense than Miles. Peter can sense danger farther away and well before it actually happens. Miles also has a weaker base stat than Peter but the Venom Strike and Cloak makes up for it. I guess Spiderman has varying strength and capabilities. The more dire and stressful a situation gets, the more he can do. Only Miguel was focused and therefore the most prominent chaser. Peter B. was also really focused on helping and therefore able to reach Miles. But Miles was THE Spiderman who had a MISSION, his Dad's life on the line, so he was the most capable, the fastest, the smartest.

Think number one rule why Miles won in this chase is one Stan Lee followed: who ever the writer wants to win will win, the details don't matter. Some lore reasons that might have gave Miles the edge are: 1) Miles was focused on evasion, not attacks. This means he was not triggering spider sense for those chasing him while his was backing him up. 2) most Spiders are solo heroes, so having an army of lone wolves chasing one target did not help. 3) Comedy, plain and simple. Basically the Stan Lee VS rule and/or plot amor used for entertainment
Spider-Sense will be triggered regardless of attacks. As shown by miles seeing blonde peter in the first movie and spider byte in this movie. And in the comics where it stops him from getting his secret identity found out by telling him when someone is nearby. And when Tom Holland senses tobey and Andrew sitting on the roof.

I always thought part of it was since we was running and playing defensive he got more help from spider-sense. It helps feel attacks coming but doesn't really tell you when to attack. So by being defensive mostly he got to use his abilities to the max while other spiders had to react without the pre-cog
Insomniac Spider-Man was not one of the Spider-Men chasing Miles, because he was in the room with all the people they were sending back home, and he looked exactly the same as he does in the game, so yeah, he went back to his dimension and didn’t participate in chasing miles
You know, this always got me thinking back to Into the Spider verse. That’s scene in the basement where Gwen, Peni, Spider Noir and Peter Porker are supposed to be training miles but they’re just completely overwhelming him with information and then by the end of all that, they just stand there just staring him down in utter disappointment, not even saying of thing. It was only until Peter forced them to huddle up to talk it out, seeing as he is the only one that truly cared about Miles. As much as I love those guys, I was so confused as to why they were so harsh to Miles in the first place, but then it hit me. They were doing this on purpose, because they all knew that Miles was never supposed to be Spider-Man. They cared about him, but they didn’t want him to be Spider-Man so that he can go through his cannon event. It all makes sense now. And it makes rewatching that scene hurt even more. Now these same people are trying to convince him to just let his father die right in front of him and not once think about what would happen to Miles and his family mentally, emotionally and spiritually?! And the fact that Gwen not only knew that Miles was a noob, but knew what his cannon event is and still try to patch things up?! I know that their going to make up in the end, but I am SO glad that Miles is finally standing up for himself. And being one of the best super heroes just by being himself!

A majority of the other spider variants seem to be messing around. Even 616b Parker kept up with Miles while carrying baby Mayday Parker aka Spidergirl. The only one seriously trying to capture Miles was Miguel. Miguel was ragdolling Miles the whole time.
In my opinion, how many of the Spider-mans were actually motivated or cared to catch Miles. Most of them probably had the "Ill follow an order, in the laziest way possible" mentality.
No matter how much I love Miles, I have to admit that Plot armor carried him hard in that moment. All of these spidermen are equally competent (For the most part), his electricity powers also carry the fuck out of him with that Knockback II.

I see all the arguments on why the spidermen couldn’t catch miles, and I agree with most of them simultaneously.
1. They’re reluctant to chase after one of their own
2. Their spider sense wasn’t really going off (since none of them were in active danger), while miles’ was in overdrive
3. Miles did go to weave university, he’s likely one of the smallest spidermen, he’s more nimble in general, and his style of movement is likely unknown to everyone except Miguel and the peeps from SV1
4. Miles is ballin, the guy can think on his feet on par if not better than the others. One of Spider-Man’s best base traits is his ability to prepare for anyone, Miles trait is he’s very adaptable on the fly.

My main theory is that Miles' main attribute is agility. Even before becoming spider man he was good at parkour and he was a good runner. You can even see in the first movie how he incorporates parkour and running into his webswinging.

I think there's a couple logical reasons why Miles was able to escape.
Firstly I think most of the Spider-people weren't fully on board with catching Miles, especially Peter B and Gwen, they literally tried to help him. The only person hellbent on stopping Miles was Miguel, so it's no surprise that he was the guy closest to catching Miles out of everyone.
Secondly, I doubt most of these Spider-people are accustomed to working as a team, since most of them have been working solo for years, so they'd likely be getting in each other's way than actually being able to assist each other.
Thirdly, Miles was on the defensive the entire time with his Spidey sense to anticipate every attack. Pair that with the fact that none of the Spider-people wanted to actually hurt him and were likely holding back from using their full strength, it's not unrealistic for Miles to be evading strikes from more experienced Spiders.
And of course finally, Miles is a special Spider-person. Most of the spiders have the traditional enhanced strength, spider sense and webbing, but Miles has his venom blast (the electricity thing) as well as invisibility. So when he got pinned by Miguel, he could blast him away, no other Spider-person would be able to escape the situation the way he did, they'd have to muscle Miguel off of them. And then of course, if he didn't have his invisibility, Miguel would've been on his ass on the way down from the train.
I agree. Each spider-person (for the sake of example) always has some unique thing about them, but to my knowledge Miles is the only one with two traits like that that also count as superpowers, rather than it being part of a suit. Also, it's true that it seemed they weren't really good at working together and that Miguel was basically the only one seriously after Miles

A few things, 1 none of the Spider-men were actually trying to hurt Miles, they were just trying to capture him without hurting him. Even Miguel was initially trying to capture him without hurting him. 2 Mile’s Spider sense helped him avoid their webs and a lot of them ran into each other slowing them down. 3 we see from Peter that Miles can get captured by those of greater skill than him and 4 they were probably all quite reluctant and conflicted about chasing him, mostly trying to make Miles see reason.
Honestly, wouldn’t call it skill Peter B really just has 15-20+ years of being spiderman over everyone else (excluding 80’s spiderman)

Ok so there’s 2 reasons for this. One, majority of the named spiders just wanted to talk. Miguel was the only one like “put him in a box” and two, miles had the benefit of being on defense so his spider sense made him nearly untouchable against opponents who had no reason to benefit from it. It’s not a perfect excuse because Main continuity Spider-Man showed main miles that can only get you so far vs experience so I wanna say the collective society is like….40% trash lol

On top of his spider-sense, none of the Spider-people were going for killshots, all of their punches would've been held back slightly and that gave Miles all the more edge he needed. Plus, he could electrocute all their asses if they managed to pin him down, like he did to Miguel to escape.

Prowler miles although in a green and purple suit, shows up in red and blue lighting which into the spiderverse has used to denote goodness before, while pruple and green denoted evil. Universe 42 miles was supposed to be spiderman but we all know that didn't happen, so now I feel his evil comes from a place of pragmatism and, "I have to take care of my family, no matter what" and since the death of his father, is probably much more jaded and hardened. Maybe the light is showing who miles42 is supposed to be rather than who he is now tho. We won't know til the third movie

I personally thought the whole "Unless you bake two cakes," line had some deeper meaning to it, but you just made it clear as day to me. They could do a whole "Since there are two Miles, they can share canon events", such as Prowler Miles's dad dying, thus allowing OG Miles's dad to live.
EDIT: Looking back, I don't really know if this theory fully holds up. After considering it, I think how they might explain it would be that Spot is the real source of all of the anomalies, as it was him that brought the spider from Earth 42. Another detail is that when Indian Spiderman's world starts to collapse, Spot's theme plays with a blackhole forming, instead of everyone disappearing similar to Miguel's mistake. It also doesn't appear that disrupting 'canon' really does anything, such as Gwen's dad no longer being police captain, but nothing really happening. I don't know how that would play into Miguel messing up the canon, but I would say that is the best bet considering what we know.

But the whole point is that the Captain who is close to the Spider-Man of that universe dies according to canon.

In my experience with martial arts it’s often times harder to hold back against someone who is actually trying their hardest, Even if there is a skill gap.
I may also mention, That most variations of Spider-Man work better solo, And in this case they may have been getting in their own way.
So while miles simply has to avoid everyone. Each and every of those Spider-Man have to not only not getting each other’s way but catch miles without seriously hurting him.

I'll never understand why Gwen is getting a lot of hate. Her entire life embodies the pain and suffering a Spiderman experiences everyday, because whatever choice she does has a great consequence. She hid the truth from her only friend, but that is because the truth will hurt him. If she did tell him everything, she will be the biggest reason why both Miles and the multiverse is in danger.
People never took her perspective into account, which is ironic because she had an entire introduction showing just how her life is falling apart, to the point where even the only family she had left is also turning against her. And after ending up alone and homeless, she was told his dad is gonna die, and her long distance friend was a mistake this entire time goddamn ☠☠😭
She was in his world when Miles got bit, she knows he blames himself for Peter’s death the same as she blames herself for her Peter’s death, she watched him struggle and come into his own all throughout the first movie, watched him lose his uncle in the climax, then when no one believed in him saw him succeed and adopt the mantle finally viewing him as an equal and an irreplaceable friend.
Then after a short excursion across the multiverse came into his universe to catch a villain she decides to not share a thing, lies about why she is there, then when the majority of spider society is against Miles once again doesn’t have his back until at the end her pops talks some sense into her and she realizes holy shit maybe I’m wrong.
She had a complete character regression, end of movie one would beat some sense into beginning of movie two Gwen. Hobie however immediately helps Miles and resigns when they try to lock him down. Spiderbyte met this dude 5 minutes earlier and has the level of empathy to help him out as well. That’s why she is getting roasted. Good movie tho 10/10

The canon event is the captain's death. As an anomaly, I think Miles has the power to change some canon events without breaking the universe, kinda like how Gwen's father did not break canon by retiring, since he and Gwen's Spider-persona weren't close. Loopholes in the rules.
However, the multiverse has a stream to maintain. Just like in a universe in which Ben lived had May take his place to maintain the continuity intact, someone equally important to Miles might take his place. I think an anomaly only breaks the universe if they operate outside of their own. If they operate inside, they have more freedom of maneuver, but the universe will adapt itself to not stray too far.
personally, i nelieve that if a disrupted canon event can be patched up (or wasn't supposed to be canon) the universe will be fine, but too many minor events or one major event disrupted will destroy the universe.

Lol no, where you get this head Canon from? Peter has the stronger Spider Sense than Miles. Peter can sense danger farther away and well before it actually happens. Miles also has a weaker base stat than Peter but the Venom Strike and Cloak makes up for it. I guess Spiderman has varying strength and capabilities. The more dire and stressful a situation gets, the more he can do. Only Miguel was focused and therefore the most prominent chaser. Peter B. was also really focused on helping and therefore able to reach Miles. i think across the spiderverse has some of the cleanest and most fluid fight sequences i've ever seen like this chase was so clean and smooth at least on miles's part

Well, that doesn’t help in a fight, they’re still attacking him and he’s not attacking back, so even if he’s Spider-Man, that’s the only thing triggering spider sense and so not a warning of danger, while he’s sensing danger.

I always thought part of it was since we was running and playing defensive he got more help from spider-sense. It helps feel attacks coming but doesn't really tell you when to attack. So by being defensive mostly he got to use his abilities to the max while other spiders had to react without the pre-cog

You know, this always got me thinking back to Into the Spider verse. That’s scene in the basement where Gwen, Peni, Spider Noir and Peter Porker are supposed to be training miles but they’re just completely overwhelming him with information and then by the end of all that, they just stand there just staring him down in utter disappointment, not even saying of thing. It was only until Peter forced them to huddle up to talk it out, seeing as he is the only one that truly cared about Miles. As much as I love those guys, I was so confused as to why they were so harsh to Miles in the first place, but then it hit me. They were doing this on purpose, because they all knew that Miles was never supposed to be Spider-Man. They cared about him, but they didn’t want him to be Spider-Man so that he can go through his cannon event. It all makes sense now. And it makes rewatching that scene hurt even more. Now these same people are trying to convince him to just let his father die right in front of him and not once think about what would happen to Miles and his family mentally, emotionally and spiritually?! And the fact that Gwen not only knew that Miles was a noob, but knew what his cannon event is and still try to patch things up?! I know that their going to make up in the end, but I am SO glad that Miles is finally standing up for himself. And being one of the best super heroes just by being himself!

A majority of the other spider variants seem to be messing around. Even 616b Parker kept up with Miles while carrying baby Mayday Parker aka Spidergirl. The only one seriously trying to capture Miles was Miguel. Miguel was ragdolling Miles the whole time.
In my opinion, how many of the Spider-mans were actually motivated or cared to catch Miles. Most of them probably had the "Ill follow an order, in the laziest way possible" mentality.
