Thank you so very much for this video and information. You made my job so very easy!!! Ordering the new belts with those numbers was fantastic! The new alternator went in like a breeze! Even your mistake of tightening the belts to early highlighted the importance of when to do that, at what point it should be done. Step son will be up and running tomorrow. I even took this time to put in a new radiator since everything else was out of the way.

I am the heck confused what this guy is trying to do. Loosen here ... loosen there ... move here and move there ... very unorganized. Only Timmy the Toolmand and PhoRunner really produce good DIY video on 4runner.

Taking off the fan is not required. It's much easier to slip the belts around the fan as shown in some other videos.
