Theres nothing wrong with praying to God about everything. He may not tell you where to eat, but he still wants to hear about wverything. He is in everything and wants to be involved in everything
@@ChicagoLightsI heard a guy point out something cool about people complaining how God dosnt talk to them . God gave us a handbook for life . The Torah literally means instructions . The whole Bible is literally our handbook . God HAS talked to us , God HAS told us what to do for 99% of our problems, we just have to read it in the Bible 😅 Now if our problems are in that 1% I’m sure he will advise us . Why would God answer our prayers and talk to us telling us the same thing He has already said in the Bible that we haven’t read . ?
@@ChicagoLightsand I didn’t come up with that , that was Bear independent a few days ago. I never thought of it like that . Anyway , you guys have a good day
💯 agree! Talk to G D because He loves to hear from us and we love just being with Him. Plus He could direct you where to eat, someone may be there that needs encouraging word or the Gospel.
Thats the definite truth. I'm in a real situation in life where my thoughts are really taking over and hindering me from even listening to God's words and promises. Prayers would be helpful.
Honestly I’ve had this experience… my own thoughts being a false prophet, also I had a spirit of divination attached to me and it told me what to do every step of the way only to destroy me and deter me away from God. It was so bad when I was set free I didn’t even understand the freedom and peace… THATS WHY I SAY STICK TO THE WORD OF GOD IN ALL THINGS BECAUSE IT IS INSPIRED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT SO YOU CANT GO WRONG.
My girlfriend of 9 years left earlier today after I gave her an ultimatum about us finding a church. I’m only recently saved and she says she loves Jesus but has no interest in quitting smoking weed or any other lifestyle changes…I’m far from perfect and maybe all our problems were my fault anyways but I’m definitely trying to improve. Sitting in our bedroom now looking at the life we built is tearing me apart. I want to tell her to come back so bad but I don’t feel like that’s what God wants. Please pray for us.
Good on you for being humble and recognizing your faults. If she agreed to go to church but still has these lifestyle traits then I would reconcile the relationship and be patient - let the Lord change her thoughts. If she didn't want to go to church then that is probably a good final nail in the coffin and she wasn't meant for you. There was a time in my spiritual life where I wanted to continue worldly habits (and still now to an extent) but also I wanted to grow with the Lord. Luckily that desire for God overpowered the desire to remain of this world. If your girlfriend has little desire to grow with God then you have every right to end it.
@@rylencason4420thank you. I’m terrified I’m going to give in and ask her to come back but it seems like every preacher I watch on TH-cam put out a video today directly relating to my dilemma. I live 1200 miles from where I’m from and really don’t know anyone in my area to talk to- despite having lived here for 7 years! I hope I have time after work tomorrow to go to a local church and talk to someone. I still have a long long ways to go…
Hey man, going through something similar currently. God told me to break up with my girlfriend who seems to be in a similar spot to yours in terms of smoking and other issues. He used our situation to completely turn her life around. She’s filled with the Holy Spirit now and the whole situation just reminds me of how good God is, and how he can turn a seemingly hopeless situation into something glorifying for Him. So keep your head up man, your faithfulness doesn’t go unnoticed by God.
@@KylewithanL thanks man. We’ll see if Gods will is for us to get back together or not. But I will keep you in my prayers man, I hope God demonstrates His Goodness to you in this situation.
Absolutely… as people spend time with God and His word you become a more confident in your decisions. Sometimes God also just gives you options. In those situations either way you go , He will be with you.
Yes! When we love someone, we want them involved. We ask, WHAT U THINK ABOUT THIS! Same way with GOD. I promise if it's His will, He will let you know.
Yes, but sometimes he leads us down a path of learning and it's not the path we would have chosen. So we must not wait for some kind of sign but go with what our heart is telling us to do, mixed with any wisdom we can use. There's no secret recipe. The very fact that we were led down a strange path is for our hearts to be tested. This is what I have been shown.
I think the issue is that we can sometimes try to over-spiritualize everything to the point where we become ineffective as people. I know I have been guilty of that. But thank God for giving us wisdom, experience, and knowledge so that we can live quality natural and spiritual lives.
The job situation hits for me. He kept closing doors over the last 3 years. And this year He blessed me with my dream job with a dream team of leadership that I’m blessed to be part of and a boss that is more than I could’ve even thought to ask for!
Yes I agree that God will close doors cause He has something better for u. Or either the timing could be off. That's why we acknowledge Him in all our ways and wait for direction.
It's been 6 years for me and I can't even begin to explain the agony I experience almost on a daily basis. I seems like I have no worth and purpose. I pray that God opens the right door for me 🙏🏾
@@ayattolahgcwabeI hear you. God is still in control of your situation. I remember a time in my life when I was in the same exact situation you are in but eventually God opened a perfect door for me and a dream job. Waiting is difficult but God eventually comes through. May this be done in your life, I pray in Jesus mighty name. Amen!
Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!” (ESV) Psalm 27:14. I want God's guidance in everything. He says in ALLLLL your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths - Proverbs 3:6... I believe that God is interested in every detail of our lives :)
Having peace about a decision struck a chord with me. I was interested in this woman recently and wanted to ask her out for a date. In the end I decided against asking and afterwards i felt a sense of peace in my spirit. I don't feel I've missed out. I don't want a woman that will stear me away from God nor a woman that will take away my peace. I've prayed for marriage and a wife. God is always faithful.
I TRUST YOU LORD! I keep faith even as I constantly struggle to provide for my children and as I struggle to pay rent and as I struggle to buy groceries. Jesus has guided me through many of storms and I’m so grateful. As a single mother raising two children with special needs things are challenging on me. I’m overwhelmed. But I know Jesus will pull me out of my situation. Jesus you give me strength to keep going thank you Lord.
@@2much4ujobe kind. He might be really wondering. We don't want to drive people away from God. Discernment in the spiritual is connecting with the holy Spirit and making clear judgement on things that are right or wrong..I hope that kind of cleared that for you Brother Ezra
@@GratefulDaughter1 you say that as if you knew if I was being unkind. Just as you said I can be really wondering if this person has looked up the definition of discernment.
@@2much4ujo so what was so wrong with just answering the question? I meant that in a kind way to you too. We all have to hold each other accountable in love.
SO many Christian’s NEED to hear this. I struggled for years on what Gods “will” is… I finally learned is to be in His approval of my character and heart. Everything will follow!
Thank you for this,as a younger believer I was asking for his will to be done in my life...but in immaturity I was really asking him that his will be bent to what I wanted. Blessings
When you don't know what to do. When you're confused and feel like God is silent, there is no clearest sign to wait for God. Not waiting and rushing any important decisions is the way of fools.
Actually, this came at the perfect time as my husband and I were nervous about signing a new lease for the apartment we're in as it is hard to make the payments now and we know they'll raise the rent. Besides I've been praying for God to lead us to a house. Well, my friend called and said he and her husband's offer they'd made in the house they want to buy had been accepted and she suggested is renting the house they were currently in. There's a large kitchen for my cooking abd canning and storage for pots and pans and pantry staples, 2 sheds, a large fenced in backyard with apatio, a garage and the stove and fridge come with it and they're willing to sell us their washer and dryer that are already hooked up for cheap. Its exactly what I wanted! I started praying for clarity and kept getting that God had put it out there after I'd been praying for about a year... your video popped up in my queue as I was still struggling...I understand now that it's God's Providence and start preparing to move. Thank you!
God still gave you a choice. Stay put or move and take the deal your friend is offering. Your free will to choose. But He provided both options, but one is better than the other.
We were created with *brains* to assist us with critical-thinking and decision-making… and employing proper judgment. We don’t need to pray about the trivial, and I’m sure many people have lost opportunities and time behind that false understanding.
Trivial? I bet a slice of bread is trivial to you. Why then does Jesus tell us to pray for our daily bread? If something so trivial as bread should be prayed for, I can't imagine anything else being smaller that should not be prayed for. Certainly, everything larger than a trivial piece of bread should be prayed for. You lack biblical and Godly wisdom. Tread lightly.
@@tangoseal1Jesus said that to help us to trust God with the supplying of our needs. Hes not specifically praying for and about a piece of bread. Hes just teaching us to acknowledge everything we have is from God. I agree we should pray on everything but we also need the faith to push forward when we may not know exactly how things are going to play out. God bless you
@@tangoseal1🤔 I think you've misunderstood what the original comment meant. Trivial means of little value or importance. For example, I'm not going to pray and ask God if should I turn left/right on a road, what food exactly I should place on my plate, or the exact clothes I should wear that day and then just sit there and wait for him to answer. That's trivial; insignificant. But I'm definitely praying/asking God for safe travels, thanking Him for the food, clothing, shelter He has provided, and waking me up and allowing me to see another day. That's what OP is saying. So acknowledge Him in all your ways, yes of course, but God gave you a brain to think as well. Also, you took the "Give us this day our daily bread" quite literally. That's not what that scripture means in totality. Lol.
Brother Allen, there are consequences of every decision we made. We surely can go ahead and make decisions, but if it's not God's Will, the consequences that we would have to face are not fun and would just make our life more miserable. I have learned this from all my past mistakes when I wasn't waiting on God
I think its worth noting that in 1 Samuel 30 verse 8 it talks about how David Inquired of the Lord to pursue the troop and overtake them, the Philistines. Basically reading the whole chapter you'd say “Duh David, you should've just went to pursue and overtake them” but it was important for him to still inquire of the Lord no matter how “obvious it looked”. It's not about over spiritualizing things, its allowing God to be a part of everything regardless and showing Him that you value his opinion even if you feel it's obvious. No wonder we are challenged to discern and have the holy spirit as our helper to help us navigate through life. The most nuanced of things could be the things that turn your life upside down, lean into God always. The Bible says in Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on. your own understanding; in all your ways submit to. Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
This video is a GREAT example of "beware of mens teachings." DO NOT take this video message to heart. You keep praying to God. You keep seeking his approval. You keep letting God know what you need.
Waiting for God before making decisions is the best. The Bible says “trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on thy whole understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your path.” Thank you.
What bothers me is that people walk around acting like God is the "Universe" New Age type way. In that everything is a sign. The bird flying over or if it rains today, kind of thing. That is not biblical .
@@brothersheedJesus very clearly stated to not search for signs. And the Bible is also against fortune telling. A bird flying over your heard is fortune telling.
@brothersheed Jesus said so. Don't be like the Pharisee's and the Israelites, always seeking signs. At the end if His ministry He said He did the signs and miracles and they still didn't believe. There will come a people who will believe only from the word, they are the blessed among mem. False prophets will come and do signs and wonders to lead even the elect astray if they can. Trust The Word. In The Beginning was The Word that you may not drift away. Hebrews 2.
I appreciate y’all’s answers but it’s not quite true. God rebuked the pharisees for asking signs because the reason they were asking the signs was to question by what authority Jesus was doing the things he was doing. Jesus also said somewhere in John if you don’t believe me then believe the works I’m doing (which are signs). Gideon literally asked God for a sign. John the Baptist’s dad got a sign, he was made mute. The plagues were signs. The prophets received signs many times. So I’m not sure what the problem with signs are
Live a life that is God directed. You will pray everyday and about everything. You will feel comfortable and confident about the choices you make even the food you eat. Some choices will require fasting and prayer. Some will just require what is God has made available for us to enjoy in His will.
"Wait on the Lord" ... for LIFE changing decisions. Things that have the potential to ruin lives and lead us away from God's will for our lives. AMEN BUT IF God speaks to us and says clearly... "go to Starbucks today" Definitely Go. Esp if it's something you clearly heard outside of your own thoughts that isn't going against Biblical texts... maybe there's a connection to be made there or something important that God is telling you to go for. Just an example
Let’s just take a moment to thank the Lord for our brother Allen! In a time where it seems that unbiblical teaching/preaching is prevalent and Mike Todds and Steven Furticks seem to be taking over, it is so important to make godly and biblical content that helps believers in practical daily godly living. Good is good!
1- Is there a passage of scripture? Or 2- Is there a principle? (Ask God for wisdom) 3 - Seek Godly, mature counsel 4 - Do you have peace about it? 5 - Do you have a personal preference? You choose. 6 - Do I trust the providence of God? He may close a door and open another.
I’m in a situation where I’m going through a time of stagnant water. Back in 2019 broke my right hip and had replacement surgery. I stayed with my 1st cushion who lives next door to me. As I was getting better I was thinking of going back home. Until my daughter came one day and she told me she and her husband were buying a house and I was going to move in with her for now on. I was involved in the church where I played and sang on the choir. Since I’ve been with my daughter I don’t go to church anymore. I’m by myself all week while they are gone to work. I have a calmness that comes over me when I thank about being at home. Being with my daughter I feel left out. They go wherever they want and I always left alone. I have no one who wants to get involved because they don’t want her get mad with them. I don’t drive anymore because I had seizures. I don’t have them anymore. I need a little work done on my house since I have not been home. She tells me it’s going too cost too much. I’m the one who wants to do something about it. I’m not going too ask her for anything. I just feel disconnected from God. But I still have a feeling I’m going too have a brake through. I’m not giving up on God pray for me. It’s really all about the money I pay them each month. That’s what they want. If I leave the money is cut off. And she doesn’t want that to happen.
Wow…I’m so sorry to hear that. Is your daughter not interested in the church? Is that why she doesn’t feel compelled to take you? Or have you asked her yourself, and she flat out refused? I feel like even if she isn’t a believer, if she is truly a loving daughter, she would make the sacrifice to take you. You carried her for 9 months and raised her for years-the least she could do is drive you to church once or twice a week. I would recommend you ask her about that. She seems like the dismissive type, but if this is really important to you, then you will have to make it known to her. Don’t listen to the enemy that wants you “ not to say anything to her”, when you know it’s breaking you spiritually and mentally, and preventing you from feeling the presence of the Lord, whom is your comfort and strength. Tell her everything that concerns you. And if she is dismissive, emphasize it. At least you tried-you never know the change that God can invoke in someone’s heart. Or perhaps, have another, more agreeable family member take you, if possible. Absolutely make your desires known to not just her, but God as well. Pray that he will make a way where you can be taken to church. Pray that he will change your daughters heart. Even pray that God will heal your hip, your seizures, or whatever other infirmity that is preventing you from fellowshipping with him and other believers. He is a miracle working God, so don’t give up just yet. I pray that you will feel God’s presence again, in Jesus name. I pray that you will find peace and joy, even in the midst of the storm you are going through. And most of all, I pray that you receive this prayer. Stand firm, sister. Put on the armor of God against attacks of depression and purposelessness. You are more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus. ❤
@@juvonnadevon6833 I have told her how I feel. But like I said it’s more about the money. She have taken me to o my cousins house once or twice. But like I stated it’s more about the money than anything. She grew up in the church. Her grandfather was pastor of the church she attended. This was her mother ‘s daddy. After he passed away she stopped going to church as often. When she married, her husband doesn’t go to church. Just keep me in prayer for a break through. I’m still trusting that God will guide me in the right direction. And everything will work out for me. Thanks for your input.
With all due respect, please, please, please, DO NOT make the mistake of NOT listening to God!!! I'm 59 years old and I almost ruined my life by not listening to HIM when HE tried to warn me that the decisions that I was about to make, would lead to tremendous heartache, financial and professional problems and in some instances, I almost died !!!😱 Proverbs 3: 5-6 says " Trust in the Lord with all your heart and LEAN NOT on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge HIM and HE will direct your paths". I can't stress enough, that taking matters into your own hands, is a recipe for disaster and regret. Also Proverbs 11 verse 14; " where there is no counsel, the people fall". Pay heed. HE may not give you the answer right away and sometimes HE sends the answer through a person or method that you least expect but wait... However long it takes. No one ever regretted waiting on God but people like me, regret that we DIDN'T wait.
I bowed my head with him at the beginning of this video thinking he was praying for God’s guidance with us. I quickly realized he wasn’t praying, he was mocking those who do want to involve God in everything. I’ve never seen this gentleman before, but we all must pray for wisdom when watching these videos. Often they are relying on their own wisdom teaching it as God’s Word.
You are very right... I want God's guidance in everything. He says in ALLLLL your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct our paths - Proverbs 3:6... I believe that God is interested in every detail of our lives :)
May God bless you in all thy ways, sister. You are very right. Mockery to God our Father, to Jesus Christ of Nazareth, to the Holy Spirit and to Christians. But God shall not be mocked. One cannot serve two masters. Either you serve TH-cam/money (the god of this world, who is but for a short time) or you serve God who is in heaven.
Man, I was corrected on this very thing, and I thank God that I was. God Bless the men in my life who loved me enough to tell the truth. God Bless You Allen parr and The Beat Ministry.
Great video brother. Your so right. It’s a growing craziness amongst many “Christians.” God doesn’t care where you eat. I know a woman who believes God gives her parking spots. This is how ignorance eventually becomes stupidity. Mysticism is like this. It’s sad.
I pray about everything and I feel so blessed in that I always get a response, most times almost immediately so I don’t have to wait long to know what to do. There are times when I have to silence everything around me and wait, not proceeding until I get a clear answer. Other times I do some gardening. Because of the forgoing, I prefer to wait on God when making decisions. Sometimes He makes it easy for me by answering my prayer before I ask. I am forever in awe of His sovereignty and providence. I trust God's faithfulness - that He has an avid interest in every aspect of my being. I will continue praying for anything and everything however can appreciate that that is not the experience of some Believers.
If you pray to God about everything you would not have choices. This is how and why people do things and say God told me to do it. You have choices and God doesn't choose everything for you. You are responsible for your choices.
Praise God for His providence! We are so glad that God opened this TH-cam channel of opportunity for you! Your teachings have blessed my life and many others. If you would have worked for a church, instead, your audience would have been very different. Grateful for God’s providence.
Amen!! I love this video! Nowhere did you tell us not to pray to God, or seek his face. I do believe we can come to God with whatever, but there is things he’s equipped us with already like how to deal with sin. And other things like where to eat, what job to take, and what opportunities to take or turn down we should know that God is in control and will back us up. And we should move with wisdom and apply the things you have stated in this video. Once again you never told us not to pray to God you are encouraging us to not be afraid to make decisions on our own (as long as we are not violating scripture).
Brother Allen you are a great example to me. And also when it comes to dating and marriage. I am still single. I just got hurt and rejected all the time until now. And i prayed for years. Waited for years.. I got saved when i was 18.. now i'm 35. And still nothing is happening. And it's really hard sometimes.. I heard your sermon "Dear single christian..." And now i see somebody also went through what I went through.. You encouraged me greatly..
I agree with you…for the most part. I appreciate the video. I do get the point being made. You are not wrong Allen. God does care about the little things too though. Little can lead to big. God could lead you to a certain restaurant or place to go to in general. Perhaps there’s someone there He wants you to share the gospel with or pray for at the place. He could be preventing you from danger by avoiding a certain place also. If you feel you should pray, then pray. I’m not encouraging overthinking, but encouraging seeking wisdom in all things. I’m concerned some people watching, especially those weaker or new to the faith, may now doubt certain prayers. Or perhaps may second guess a decision made that God has already spoken to them about. We are to pray at all times (Ephesians 6:18) and pray with ceasing (1 Thess 5:17). God sometimes does have specific directions. Often these directions may lead us to a path we would not have chosen ourselves. Like with Hosea, Elijah, Moses, Abraham, Joseph, Jonah, just to name a few. With marriage in particular, let’s consider Hosea and Gomer. Hosea was told to marry Gomer a prostitute. Yes, this was a particular situation for a specific purpose and time in scripture. Yet, similar things happen today too. A believer can lead an unbeliever to the faith and are encouraged to not divorce (1 Corinthians 7:14). I personally know a lady who did marry an unbeliever, and she lead him to Christ. He even became a pastor. I’m not encouraging seeking relationships with unbelievers. Scripture is clear on avoiding this due to the danger. I’m just saying that God takes anything the enemy may intend for harm and can turn it for good (Genesis 50:20). His thoughts and ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). Pray, seek wisdom, follow discernment. Definitely go to what’s already been spoken of in the Word. Seek wise counsel from other believers. Listen for that still small voice and be ready to follow the Holy Spirit’s leading. Even if it’s not what you would have chosen for yourself. Ask for confirmation if needed like Gideon did (Judges 6:33-40). Ask in faith and proceed in faith. Blessings everyone 🙏🏻🕊️❤️
Sir, my friend hear, see God. Her spiritual senses are open. She said greater task, responsibility is required for those are called. She said it is a wonderful but overwhelming task, facing persecution.
My latest decision was to sign the dotted line to enlist into the Navy. I’m a single mother and taking care of my daughter solo is a bit challenging without a solid career. I don’t have college experience and I’ve only done customer service (and still haven’t found a job suitable) It will be time away from my child during the next 7 months but after that we will have the chance to start again with new everything. My mother, family and God sister will help care for her while I’m in training. I’m at peace with it and moving forward with this decision. I see growth stabilization and improvement coming soon. God Bless
I really appreciate you making videos like this that clearly spell out what many believers are struggling with today. This message may not resonate with everyone, but those who want to hear from God and live out a life that pleases Him will find their way to your channel. We all need practical and easy-to-remember ways to live out the Christian walk. Thank you for putting in the effort to make something that can be so difficult become easy for those who need it. I know the work that goes into this, and it's not easy. Thanks again, my brother in Christ.
Really enjoyed this, as well as all of your other content... As Christians, I'm a firm believer that through prayer, fasting, and discernment, The LORD GOD will lead us to make the right decisions that we may pray to Him about... The challenge occurs when we already entertain our preconceived notions regarding the decision "we" would prefer to pursue, instead of seeking to confirm the answer that The LORD GOD has given us on how "He" wants us to proceed... We may not always be ready, willing, or spiritually mature to accept the answers or directions that The LORD GOD will reveal to us, but there will be plenty of revelation and confirmation around us to confirm how He will order our steps and direct us to move... GOD Bless...
Yes! Yes! Yes! Good bless you Pastor Alan. I know someone who says they pray to God for EVERY decision and get a specific answer. What shoes to buy, what clothes to wear, whether or not to go to church (yes and sometimes "God say no, don't go to church"), what hairstyle to wear, etc etc. I struggle with that concept. Because this is not bourne out in Scripture. What's more, this person wants me to make decisions based on their "answers". I don't understand how they get all these specific answers and often when I and others pray, sometimes the answer if not as clear cut and you have to use the other tools you gave in this video
I get you Alan. God showed me today how he works. Tree branch fell on home;shattered windows; God help me; called glass people; got bids, checked yelp reviews ;found a kind glass person who is also very helpful. I believe God provided him. I did not sit down cry and wait for God I did my part at the prompting of God. I do believe He prompts but my part is to listen and take action. Next time I will tell you how He resolved the tree problem that threatened my home. There again I prayed, listened and did as God prompted.
I appreciate this one. I often struggle with this too. Especially when it comes to choosing jobs, locations, finding a potential wife etc. I want to be guided by God but I also know he gives us some free choices within his will. Thanks again.
I needed this word. Thank you Mr. Allen. I’ve been watching you for almost 4 years now & your channel has truly been a blessing to my life. I pray the Lord keeps you and prospers you in all areas of your life 🙏🏽
Brother Allen, this has been a very encouraging video as my wife and I are trusting God to go on vacation for our Anniversary and this speaks directly to how we appraoching trusting God and using Wisdom to make the right decision. Thank you
I also understand some thoughts are not His and we claim there are, so in the end pray for discernment in all things, be still in his presence listen for his direction wait on the lord and be of good courage, He is the Author and finisher of faith. Stay strong 💪 pray always. And ask the Lord to use us in these last days in Jesus name ❤❤❤
Thank you Allen for this message i needed it. God is always with us every day and keep trusting God will always make away no matter what we going through and God bless everyone🙏😊
Needed this badly. Working at a church and I LOVE it here and I believe God has revealed my wife to me. I just got another offer to a bigger church that would pay more and is a great opportunity, but I feel super uneasy about it and can't shake the feeling that she's the one. Been praying my mind out that He won't let me mess up His plan.
Allen you are absolutely a warrior for Our Lord Jesus Christ🙏🙏. This 75 year old “Mimi” thinks you are a fantastic minister who knows the Bible and you have a true calling from The Holy Spirit🙏🙏❤️….OH YES I can testify thatGod will redirect you in your life if you seek Him and belong to Him
I used to stay stagnant in life not moving forward with decisions for fear of being outside of God’s will. I realize now that most of that was the enemy’s attempt to hinder my growth and purpose. One day the Holy Spirit said to me “You don’t have to have it all figured out. Just live”. That set me free. It was a reminder that when you are in continual fellowship and relationship with the Lord He WILL order your steps. There’s a freedom that allows me to move and make decisions a little more easily because He’s a part of my everyday life and will correct or redirect when needed. Proverbs 16:9-”A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.“
God will always answer to those who call on Him in truth. Based on my experience, when I dont have a 'clear' direction from God its because I have unconfessed sin. I cant just ask God's will on one area of my life but I am actually living against his will on another aspect. Unconfessed sin would always hinder my relationship with God. Second reason is unbelief. God already gave the answer but I am unwilling to submit. I'm blinded by my own desires and try to justify that I should seek more to get the answer I really want. However, there are really times that God is silent and during those times, the Holy Spirit's direction to me is to be still, stay where I am, & wait upon God. This is actually hard for me. It takes faith to do 'nothing' when you want to do something. I would always go back to Proverbs 3:5 and Isaiah 55:8-9 as anchor for my faith.
Thanks, brother Allen. Your videos seem to be so timely for me. I am heading towards the end of a deadline and have been unsure what God wants me to do. He's told me to wait and then to draw closer to him. I've been nervous about going in the wrong direction but none of the options are bad, nor will any of them impact my family life negatively. I appreciate how God is using you to help reach so many people. Thank you
I'm probably stuck between two "good" choices bc I myself can't make up my mind. I have this tendency to ask signs from God and now, I'm still in the same dilemma. But James 1:6-8, it says, double-minded people must not suppose blessings from the Lord. Thanks, Mr. Parr for making this clearer to me. So I simply have to choose. I trust God will bless it.
Excellent video, Brother Allen. I can't wait to see your testimony. All your points were very good. I find that sometimes, even in those small things (Chick Filet, or Chipotle), we make our choices, but we're playing in the Providence of God. I've had times I just made my choice about something small like that, but ended up meeting someone to witness to at the place I chose, or by going that way, I avoided a car accident, and it was God's plan all along, I just didn’t agonize over it beforehand. I think things like that show that your preference point and the Providence point often work hand in hand.
I’m so grateful God closed that church door for you, Brother Allen! Your channel has been an absolute blessing in my life. Can’t wait to hear your testimony! 🙌🏽
This is why I always remind myself that God has already spoken to us through His Word. I have to admit sometimes I just overthink or get in a bad mood but God is still here even if it might not feel that way. I remind myself/memorize verses and then try to find an answer in the Bible.
God showed me my wife in 2 visions went heightened my spirit to find where she was. But these are good points, but without revelation, I wouldnt be this far
I grew up with a fear that if I made the wrong decision, I would be outside of God's perfect will. Like it was a mystery that I had to figure out...almost by luck. What finally helped me was being shown Proverbs 16. In addition to the things you mentioned, several verses in Proverbs 16 speak to the sovereignty of God and how He will make sure things happen how He plans: Verse 4: "The Lord has made everything for his own purposes, even the wicked for a day of disaster." Verse 9: "We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps." And finally, Verse 33: "We may throw the dice, but the Lord determines how they hall." Once I learned these scriptures (among others), it took away the fear that I was going to make the wrong choice. As long as I committed my plans to the Lord, whatever happened was His plan.
Hey, Allen! Really well done on the topic and the clear presentation! God is using you, brother; and it is because you're following Jesus closely and studying His Word to show yourself an approved workman who handles accurately the Word of truth. God bless and keep you, your family and your ministry! 🙏😇
13:25 this is so true but not something I ever thought about. Thanks for the reminder that God will redirect if we choose a wrong path when we haven't heard from him.
Great concept for a video, and a topic I've often thought out. If I have a desicion and I'm not sure if it's the right one, I just pray to God to change my plans if it isn't his will. If nothing changes, I just proceed with my decision assuming its part of his will. (Obviously the plans must align with scripture in the first place).
Timely video so thank you Sir Allen for sharing.. God wants to be glorified in EVERYTHING we do and so we must be mindful of that.(1 Cor 10;31) I concur with what you were sharing and as a result it's important for us to go to His word and seek the wisdom concerning whatever it is that one is unsure about. God bless you all.
I would think, like any Father, God wants us to be self-sufficient. Don't get me wrong, you can ask your Dad whatever you want, but, the basic and mundane things in life is already guided through Him.
Lol I agree with you that's why he gave a brain to walk through daily life. Some of us Christians forget that God said he will write his words in our hearts.
God HAS talked to us , God HAS told us what to do for 99% of our problems, we just have to read it in the Bible 😅
Now if our problems are in that 1% I’m sure he will advise us .
Why would God answer our prayers and talk to us telling us the same thing He has already said in the Bible that we haven’t read . ?
Eh, this type of thinking just confuses people.
I disagree. Unless a person is a babe in Christ, we should have gained wisdom while walking with the Most High.
@@ChicagoLightsand I didn’t come up with that , that was Bear independent a few days ago. I never thought of it like that .

💯 agree! Talk to G D because He loves to hear from us and we love just being with Him. Plus He could direct you where to eat, someone may be there that needs encouraging word or the Gospel.
I have learned in life that many times our own thoughts can be a false prophet, so my foundation is the Word.
Love that!
Thats the definite truth. I'm in a real situation in life where my thoughts are really taking over and hindering me from even listening to God's words and promises. Prayers would be helpful.
Stated perfectly!!!
Ouch, that went straight to my heart lol.
Hey man, going through something similar currently. God told me to break up with my girlfriend who seems to be in a similar spot to yours in terms of smoking and other issues. He used our situation to completely turn her life around. Yes, but sometimes he leads us down a path of learning and it's not the path we would have chosen. So we must not wait for some kind of sign but go with what our heart is telling us to do, mixed with any wisdom we can use. There's no secret recipe. Catholic church, some apostolics call this the sin of scrupulosity, and they treat it with therapy.
When you don't know what to do. When you're confused and feel like God is silent, there is no clearest sign to wait for God. Not waiting and rushing any important decisions is the way of fools.
Amen! Wisdom is speaking here.
And if you find yourself waiting way too long, that is also not wisdom.
Define trivial.
@@tangoseal1Pray without ceasing. Good point. What is trivial?
Yes. Correct
This video is a GREAT example of "beware of mens teachings."
DO NOT take this video message to heart.
How are signs not biblical?
@@brothersheed not everything is a sign from God! Saying, "If it rains today, I'll know..." is 💯not biblical
AMEN
BUT IF God speaks to us and says clearly... "go to Starbucks today" Definitely Go. Esp if it's something you clearly heard outside of your own thoughts that isn't going against Biblical texts... maybe there's a connection to be made there or something important that God is telling you to go for. Just an example
Yes. You are right.
Let’s just take a moment to thank the Lord for our brother Allen!

With all due respect, please, please, please, DO NOT make the mistake of NOT listening to God!!!

5:10 WISDOM, the key word! 🧠

Decision making is the most crucial part of all us, this topic is seriously underrated, thanks so much❤❤❤
Nice one . Decision making within the context of freedom of choice for believers.
Romans 8:28
Thanks Allen! This was confirmation of a principle God has been teaching me of late.
I thought that the Lord has given us the knowledge to determine what was right. Praying is a confirmation which we use to talk to the Lord
Acknowledge God in all ur ways. Let God lead you in His Word. God wants to be involved in our lives. Yes principle and wisdom make sense.
Isaiah 40:31 They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength....
Always pray, but move out in faith & trust God, who abides with us; He will guide us into all truth...
Yes! Yes!
Blessed are those who wait on the Lord. Isaiah 30:18
Alan, you hit it on the head! When you feel peace about a decision and it is aligned with Scripture, you can have confidence in the decision.
Very good!! Much needed. Thank you!! All Christians need to hear this!
Love this
Great video, Allen. Using the words wisdom and praying to God and the guidance of the Holy Spirit is always great
God will always answer to those who call on Him in truth.
Psalm 27:14 KJV - Wait on the LORD: Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
Thank you! I like the Ps concept. This is very helpful for someone like myself who is indecisive and sometimes worries about making wrong decisions
That beginning part has me cracking up. Omgosh!!! 🤣 Okay, let me listen to this message 🙏🏾
The mind of man plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps. Proverbs 16:9
This was hilarious but often true! So many times we pray for direction in a situation when the Bible is already clear on the matter.
God showed me my wife in 2 visions went heightened my spirit to find where she was. But these are good points, but without revelation, I wouldnt be this far
Perfect explanation of using the wisdom of God for our lives.
This is a good content but the title of the video is misleading. It could be 'waiting on God wisely'.
Also, He leads us with His peace-either a sense of peace or lack there of regarding a decision.
Jesus spent the whole night in prayer the day before He chose His disciples. He often withdrew from His disciples to pray.
I loved this video!!! This was what I needed to hear!!! I was feeling stuck and for weeks just not moving. But now I shall move ahead
Your opening is hilarious!!!!! I appreciate your TH-cam ministry, you’re able to teach way more people like me. God is good!
I grew up with a fear that if I made the wrong decision, I would be outside of God's perfect will. Like it was a mystery that I had to figure out...almost by luck. What finally helped me was being shown Proverbs 16.
In addition to the things you mentioned, several verses in Proverbs 16 speak to the sovereignty of God and how He will make sure things happen how He plans: Verse 4: "The Lord has made everything for his own purposes, even the wicked for a day of disaster." Verse 9: "We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps." And finally, Verse 33: "We may throw the dice, but the Lord determines how they hall."
Once I learned these scriptures (among others), it took away the fear that I was going to make the wrong choice. As long as I committed my plans to the Lord, whatever happened was His plan.
I truly believe this is a very timely word for me and I also believe, like Allen said, wisdom is needed for discernment!
God bless you, brother Allen!
This is why devoting yourself to prayer and meditating His word is important to do every day.
Doesn't the bible say to trust in the Lord and not lean on our own understanding? And that cursed is the one who puts his trust in flesh?
This is good. Sound biblical wisdom is critical to making the right decisions...
Looking forward to hearing your testimony.
