I’m an EMS veteran and he lost me in the first minute or so when he had to do a side profile to show off his biceps I was like …come on really??? he’s not here to promote the profession. He’s here to do nothing but foam all over himself.
Great video! As someone who’s starting EMT school in January I enjoyed watching. I’d love to see more of the daily things you do before calls like checking the ambulance, wiping things down or how you stay busy in between calls! Doing filming and then later voiceovers to explain what you’re doing and why would be awesome! Could you do a video about some of your experiences and what kind of area you work in maybe? I’m not sure whether to look for jobs at a hospital, clinic or privately… how did you decide? Thank you for your videos!
love the dedication and the hard work you put into your job and making your first vlog this was so interesting to see as a canadian seeing it in your perspective as an emt, can’t wait for the second vlog 🫶🏻
It seems chill where ever youre located. I did ems for a bit in detroit for the fire department and it was a nightmare, cant even at least choose your partner to work with
Hi everyone, this full of himself teenager has forgotten to mention something. He is "technically" an EMT but has never actually gotten a real 911 call. He works in Medical Transport. Medical Transport is moving old, obese, or very sick patients from the hospital to nursing homes, their residence, or some other location. The kid stares at himself 20 times in the video. The fact that he gets to be in an ambulance fuels his ego but he would have no idea what to do on a real 911 call. I wouldn't of written this if you had not acted so obsessed with yourself in the video, or just been honest about what you do. Most EMT's start in medical transport to get experience and then move into 911.
I just finished EMT school and preparing for the NREMT any tips? Any apps or websites that are good? Also when you took the NREMT we’re the questions mainly scenario based?
I am Laura and Iam a pro as you conner but i like medical so much. I like to study to can you help me to get ready to start becoming a EMS. can you help me i would like to get? started I live in Kalamazoo, Michigan
@@Itsconnorr is that typical for everyone or do you kind of choose how many hours you want ? sorry i’m thinking about doing it and i don’t know anyone to ask!
Some quick questions, so you’re just an emt? Or a paramedic and if you’re a emt do you ride with a paramedic or how does that work if someone needs advanced care
depends on staffing at whatever agency he works at ambulances with just two EMTs are BLS ambulances, they either do what they're able to do within their scope of practice while awaiting ALS support, or transfer to a hospital without waiting if the hospital is closer than the nearest ALS ambulance well-staffed agencies usually have a lot of paramedics and in those cases most ambulances are staffed with one emt and one paramedic, making them capable of ALS treatment
To add on to what Snake said, a lot of the fire departments in Norcal that serve with Connor are required to have all their rigs paramedic certified which means that they usually have a paramedic/ff on them. If needed, the paramedic/ff on the truck crew can jump into the ambulance and help treat the patient until arrival to the hospital.
This is the first video I've seen from this guy and I'm currently about halfway through- so I'm guessing. But it seems that he is doing IFT which means transferring patients from one facility to another. They know how sick the person is and whether a higher level of care would be needed before sending the ambulance. That's a great way for EMTs to get started in EMS. FWIW the EMTs out there aren't “just EMTs” They are able to do a great deal to help people stay on the right side of the grass.
