She backed him into a wall with her threats. I have to wonder why he married such a selfish woman. The prenuptial agreement was the best move.

*The harsh truth is women age quicker than men, be it their party girl lifestyles mixed with the fuckton of makeup they put on daily. My friend was seeing this girl just 12 years ago & she was stunning, all the guys wanted her & that was the problem, she cheated on my friend who was at the time kind of on the heavy side, she just mocked him for the weight he'd put on during their 2 year relationship before ending it. 10 years later my friend who is now in great shape tells me he had a run-in with this same ex who he didn't even recognize she actually jumped into his arms hugging him, she actually started crying when he asked who she was, by his description of her she aged more like 20 years, I laughed my ass off because she was horrible to him when they broke up & she had been putting out for anyone & everyone since. We are all in our late 30's now & that once beautiful party girl looks to be in her mid 50's these days time sure is cruel.*

IT or software engineers sure get cheated on a lot. Whenever women get turned down for wanting an open marriage they always call the husband "selfish".WTF !?!?

Buddy, I'm in the same profession as OP, but I think his IQ is low. I would never give such concessions to a woman. No woman can cross my boundaries. My red lines are very thick and visible. Women always tell me I'm "a very difficult man".

I know there are people who are ok with their partners having sex with other people. While I respect their right to do this (as long as it's by mutual consent), I could never accept this for myself.

Neither would I but if I was in OP's situation, I would've taken the same steps he did. Get a postnup done as I know she'll immediately sign without reading as she's still in her delusional state, get my shit in order as I'm already checked out of that marriage especially after the threat she made as she was THAT deadset to ride on the cock carousel, yadda yadda yadda, and I'm divorcing her ass.

Men age like Sean Connery: women age like.... Sean Connery.
Men age like fine wine. Women age like milk.
Men get character lines, women get wrinkles.
Pete handled this like a BOSS! The one thing that makes a woman gain attraction to her partner is when her partner gets attention from another woman. Susan THOUGHT Pete wasn't going to be successful in the open marriage, and she'd be the only partner having "fun". She, unfortunately, didn't see through her own reality: She's a woman in her late forties, and not a young gal in her 20's. Besides that, Pete probably wasn't that interested in intimacy with her because she was BORING in the bedroom. She learned the truth: She's not that valuable to her husband, and he can replace her if and when he wants to.

OP was a big fool to agree to this "open marriage." He should've walked away and ended the marriage on the spot. And I'm glad OP wasn't screwed in the divorce!!

Trust and believe he wanted a divorce but the fact that she basically threatened to tell the law that he abused her indicated that she would have done this regardless of him saying yes or no like seriously people are bashing the husband for saying OK but if you look at it this way she would’ve try to take him for everything that he’s worth accepted it because he already knew the marriage was over the moment she open her mouth and I would probably do the same thing and give her the same type of lecture because I don’t play that especially if someone wants to try and play games with me I will literally rub it in my wife’s face and take the girl out on vacation without her just to send pictures saying that too bad you wanted to be a 304. While putting divorce papers in the mix just for added effect so that by the time I get back I can go to the courthouse with a Hawaiian shirt and outfit on and still have a smile on my face.

BH accept open marriage. This happen in real life story, I think. Both from WW perspective n BH perspective.
Btw, some foolish husbands offer open marriage as well.
Anyway, theres one story where BH accept it with stipulation that they wont be acting as married couple at home.
So, he turned his basement into mancave and live there. Later he found a steady gf.... The son bond with the gf cos shes at home and WW is out fukkin n partying.
Story ends with WW asking reditor what should she do since BH wanna go on vacation with gf and son. Btw, BH gaslight WW saying that gf is just a friend.
    Hillarious.

This guy was an idiot…..the second she threatened him he should have gone no contact and moved out…. Or at least placed cameras in the house. He risked everything to play a game with her.

    • @WeaponXSigma
      @WeaponXSigma ปีที่แล้ว +7

Forgetting the fact that she would've threatened to make false abuse allegations against him which the police would've been extremely quick to believe because of the "Believe all women no matter what" bs going on. Maybe you don't live in the US but dude would've been screwed six ways to Sunday when, not if the cops found him. He made the right move by getting the biggest shark lawyer to get the divorce set up and ready. What you described he would do would be a doormat or cowardly act. Plus he didn't risk anything on the grounds that he knew the shit was over once she opened her mouth. He simply gave her the rope to hang herself with.
      Here's why:
      1) He would've still been married as he didn't file for divorce yet.
      2) He made her sign a postnup agreement so if she filed for abandonment (which she definitely would've) he wouldn't get screwed in the divorce because the courts favor the women in most divorce cases.
      3) He chose to play chess while she was playing checkers. He already had a plan in motion before he played the game back.
Now I'm not gonna call you an idiot for not knowing how to outsmart an enemy but please learn how to use tactics for situations like these. If you're not built for it like the OP was then thats understandable. Not everyone is built for it and chooses to just run away like you suggested. You do you. Those who know understand where I'm getting at. I'm just saying.

@@WeaponXSigma keep telling yourself that… he put himself at risk the minute he walked back into the house without a camera or recording device. When your opponent threatens to do something you believe it. All the “planning” he doing was useless if he walks in with the post nup and divorce idea and then she cries abuse. I see you post all the time out here and it never ceases to amaze me how often you are wrong. It wouldn’t be a big deal though if you weren’t always passively insulting people when you respond to their posts like you’re somehow superior in your thinking.

I don't think this story was true but there will be situations like this - in this case the ending was only fair because she voluntarily signed a post-nup that was reasonable to him - most will not.
The *REAL* solution is a simple one - *_DO. NOT. GET. MARRIED._* - there are no upsides for a man in the marriage contract...
