There's no country like Taiwan. The delicious and variety of food, the cheerful and honest people and the well-handled administration by the government is so addictive and a lesson to all. I remember my time living there fondly. This video brings back all those memories of visiting night markets and commuting in trains across the length of the country.
Ah brings back memories of Taipei. When I went to Ximending with my wife we also enjoyed the egg pancakes, Coco Ichibanya Japanese curry restaurant and watching the street performers.
This is a wonderful video not just bc of the food but also it gives the world some peace that there is some light at the end of the tunnel. thanks guys
when I visited last year. I enjoyed ximending night market as it was super convenient to get to. 9:27 I bought some as gifts for fun but it's not something you want to eat . People in Taiwan are nice and friendly and super helpful. I even ate at a street stall that looked like it wouldn't be English friendly at all but when I asked. they handed me a menu with Chinese and English. I'll also never forget the ramen I ate at one restaurant. totally blew my mind and changed my perspective of what fresh ramen should be like.
OMG Tien Tien Li.....I used to go so often in college, like 15 years ago. Now I'm living in the US. Haven't been there for more than a decade....I MISS IT SO MUCH!!!😭
Wow Taiwan is lit up and so many people around 😳 it’s so busy but it looks like a beautiful place to visit. Omg that huge fries chicken is massive and bigger than my head 😍I know that was delicious.
豪大Hotstar is famous because it’s fried chickens are huge. They are not bad, but there are better tasting fried chickens out there for you to explore. I personally prefer 惡魔雞排 devil.

Even their 7-11 foods and beverages are super delicious!!! I wish i can taste every single drink from their beverage fridge!!! This would take days to drink them all!!! You should try their 大腸包小腸 (da chang bao xiao chang) too! It's a sausage within a sausage made of rice, + a bunch of topics and sauces of your choice. It's really tasty :) Taiwan is awesome.
Scripner, I have & it’s not on the same level as Taiwanese & Chinese & Italian food etc & a lot of it gives people gas & diahrrea. U obviously haven’t had Taiwanese food if u have 2 ask that question.
Clearly we need to take some lessons from Taiwan if they're able to stay active and busy while we're being forced into our homes with constantly pushed back dates to reopen the economy.
They detected the virus early and adopted measures to prevent and contain the virus from spreading in Taiwan. They tried to warn the WHO but was ignored. I guess if the world found out right away, our respective economies could have reopened early
Way too individualist and anti-government in the west... they keep talking about Sweden as the example to follow, absolute nuts (they have no lock downs but they wound up with one of the highest death rates as well). Taiwan has lots of years to prepare since SARS and knew this would happen again. So they were prepared well!

Not only in U.S.; they also have stores in your home country Canada as well. And obviously, they are all located in areas where Chinese people are densely populated. Such as Vancouver, Toronto and greater Los Angeles area as well. You are very astute. Kudos.

Luke Hotstar is my favourite too here in Sydney ! hella a gem! - although when we were there we didnt try it, but we did try the massage chicken in Fengjia and Hot angel chicken at Kaohsiung :) pretty sure you had that one too i remembered - we did try the Xin Fu tang boba though :)
I wish California could be like this in regards to the pandemic. I know we did better than most states but damn. I am SO envious of how Taiwanese folks are able to live their best lives at the moment. Hoping that travel bans can at least get lifted sooner than later so I can travel to Taiwan ASAP...!
I was here in January just before corona kicked off! Pretty fun place, touristy and reminded me of the tackier parts of Tokyo and Osaka. Shout out for supporting small businesses, especially at times like these.
