Seeding Alfalfa into Heavy "Trash"

Join us as we unpack how and why Everett Rolfing is seeding his oats and alfalfa into lots of "trash" outside of Lewiston, MN.
This practice of using a cover crop after corn for grain, a small of spring disturbance with a vertical tillage tool (VT) and then drilling the oats/alfalfa has been working great. Everett's limited vertical tillage is very different than the standard practices of removing/baling off most of the armor, chisel plowing, field cultivating and then seeding into a clean/pack seed bed.
