  • airacuda trigger adjustment. from the factory the trigger was out of adjustment, it's easy to fix as you will see.
The adjustment behind the trigger will control "trigger travel" when adjusted properly (it's not to be used to adjust sear engagement even though it seems like it does or can)
The adjustment in front of the safety and trigger is for sear engagement which you can see thru the side window.
first: adjust the screw behind the trigger so it is flush or protruding from the hole by a thread or two.
Second: cock the cocking lever and watch for the sear engagement. The other screw in front of the trigger and safety will control the amount of engagement. hold the cocking lever back and adjust this screw so you have good engagement, not minimal engagement.
now test your de-cocking procedure, you should be able to de-cock reliably even if you hold the trigger all the way back while closing the cocking lever.
both adjustment work together and can affect sear engagement... so remember... only use the adjustment in front of the trigger and safety for sear engagement, the adjustment behind the trigger is for first stage travel.
    hope this helps

Perfect - I just received a Maxx with the same problem. Screw was inserted deep. Now flush and working normal without the misfire. Thank You

Does the trigger adjustment have anything to do with hammer adjustment? Can only screw hammer in half way then can't cock it.
