These are in my opinion some
of the scariest, most disturbing
albums ever released.
Not a lot of guidelines here the
title is more or less
self-explanatory. Just 1 album
per artist.
Feel free to comment and
give your own picks!
P.S. As always albums are listed
in alphabetical order

Goblin's "witch" from the suspiria album is probably the most terrifying song I've listened to.
Speaking of Goblin there was another Italian progressive rock album called "Ys" by "Il Balletto Di Bronzo" that people consider very scary (I feel its more deranged than scary but I can see why it could be scary for some).
I thought this was gonna be some pretty sick stuff but it's all rather pedestrian.
I really like the entire list, especially the experimental stuff. Thank you for posting!
Yeah, good call on Tangerine Dream. Their early stuff was uber-creepy. Rubycon (side 2) is like the soundtrack to Hell.
Wow, I had about half of these, will have to look the others up properly. Thank you!!!
What albums do u have?

The expected ones I guess, by:
cure
current 93 (the earlier albums are better in my opinion)
diamanda Galas
Nico
Public image
Residents
Suicide
Tangerine dream
Scott walker
White noise...
and I've just bought both comus albums because of this sample....
Great video !
Good picks - Glenn Kotche Adventureland, US Maple Talker and Kammerflimmer Kollektief Absencen are some that come to mind for me - admittedly not as full bore. Sometimes stuff that sneaks under your skin first creeps me more
You should include the listings in your description.
Good list as usual. Thoughts on Electronic Sound by George Harrison?
Good choice. And probably an inspiration to some albums in my list, given his fame. To me it seems more like "random scary" than "on purpose scary"...
John Zorn's 'Painkiller' is a good contender too.
Stalaggh-pure misanthropia should there too imo
Good choice. 👍
Lou Reed.. Berlin and/or Metal Machine Music. But a couple of my favorites did show up in Diamanda Galas and Scott walker. Great job.
WOW That is Crazy
Suggestions for Vol. 2:
JOY DIVISION- Closer
KING DIAMOND- Them
GG ALLIN- Bloodshed & Brutallity For All
DOUG BREGGER- Vampire Radio
BURZUM- anything n everything!
DISSECTION- Reinkaos
MANSON FAMILY - Songs of Charles Manson
MAYHEM Dawn of the Black Hearts (bootleg)
Best list ever really maybe more industrial and some ost and perfect
You cant do this list without mentioning Stalaagh or original Dawn of the Black Hearts from Euronymous
Meddle-Pink Floyd
Obscure maybe but def not disturbing albums
