It's people like Frankie Knuckles that transformed DJing from a gig to a respected professional career. RIP Frankie Knuckles. I danced my heart out in the 80s on dance floors everywhere that played house. Those were the best days for clubbing.
Hello I a student at Kingsborough community college and started a new radio show for house and disco- called HOUSE of Soul-- I have been involved the house scene a long time-- and wanted to know if I could used snippets of audio clips for my show beginning this saturday for a tribute to Frankie-- My show is House Of Soul on WKRB 90.3 FM 11pm-1am-- I would greatly appreciate it thanks DJ Jaxx
Born and Raised on the Southside of "The CHI"👁️🤟☪️ I was there to witness The "Birth of House and The "Takeover of it as it swept across taking Europe by Storm and through it all if I had to pick just one absolutely perfectly produced "Housemuzik track that epitomized that entire era that FrankieKnuckles" was responsible for having HIS "hands in producing that should've went "Platinum"!!! But it didn't, was a song written by a"mysteriousoulful deephouse production team called "NiteWriters" Featuring one of the greatest professional Gospel singers and Choir Directors to ever hold a microphone"! The Legendary Mr. Ricky Dillard...That song is still second to none even to this very day for REAL people it's called "Let The Music Use You"
