i just cant believe how every time the same thing happens
-high rated player gets into the game
-either trough ignorance or sheer stubborness they barely or just straight up not play diplo at all.
-they proceed to turn on everybody
-they are some of the first players to die
its ok anyone plays however they want and find the most fun buts its like if they wanted to die first lol
Yeah but if you don't protect your king really thoroughly, it's ridiculously easy for your ally to snipe you. You would have to constantly pay attention to your king, at least every 20 seconds or so. If a sniping army arrives and someone enemies you, you have to go into the diplomacy menu, change your diplomacy towards the correct player, move your army to defend and try not to lose your king. Why do you think almost no one allied each other when the pros played diplomacy games? Because the risk of dying to some random shit is too high. If an enemy army approaches you, your towers, castles and units fight back. If an allied army approaches you, you are defenseless.
@@tomscorpion6288 i know, but that applies on true competetive games, the thing is, in community games the first one to die is always the one that doesnt diplo at all and puts a target on their back
@@tomscorpion6288 But people DO ally competitive players. The issue is the competitive player doesn't ally them back, which eventually means the rest of the world fights and beats them.

When the king goes boom it randomly or based on what was there before replenishes the resources! That’s definitely a good idea imo cuz then you get boomed but not killed you have something to gather after retake resource.
That just causes you to get targeted again if it gave too many new resources though. Maybe 4 gold and 4 stone would be kind of fair.
There will be multiple people with the name "Eli" but while I watch this I have a teammate who was in enemy team last game and he called me hacker because I donjon-rushed him with Sicilians.
So whatever happens, i am rooting against Eli in his video :D
This map has been a very welcome fresh air to commie games, really have been enjoying watching it! Also 16:15 Saly is an egg :)

Is it possible on a map like this to have exploding kings, but when kings explode, it will leave behind a crater that gets filled by water? So early games could be focused on land armies, but then transitions to heavily naval battles?
I don't think it is possible to change terrain mid game.
Exept for cliffs and things like that.

There is way not enought fish on the water and also there could be a little more Wood on land.

The fish look OK to me, there's enough per player but you do need to re-dock quite a bit to make the most of them as they're a bit sparse. It's not as easy to fish as say four corners, but the focus is instead on water trade trade in the lategame.
Trees are ridiculous though, maybe more wood per tree to preserve the aesthetics.
@@P1ankt0nb0y nah thats never ever even enought fish that are 8 players and you could argu for fight traps but they need very much wood when water should be a economical option they need more wood or more fish.

Map is great, I just beg for a mod for diplo that makes you not able to see your allies LoS and ill be happy forever
on the topic of handing out the resources of defeated players, yes i suppose its not possible for it to be a build in, automatic feature. But those games are moderated, arent they? and you do run modded versions anyway. So why not have a moderater be "ingame". With an offmap unit or something and have them give out the res manually from their really large stack - the campaign scripts do this all the time, should be possible within the game engine.

Tom is always a pain to watch honestly. And I remember Sam, he was cheering himself at the start of the match. He didn't seem to have much of a chance as the game continued but the game became chaotic and he ended up winning by wonder.
