I like the new meter. For someone that doesn’t mess with electrical work very often it would really help them. Electric work scares a lot of people away but it is not that hard if you apply the basic troubleshooting techniques.
Nice looking meter. Like all the features Now the big thing is MagSafe charging. I just bought an olight that has a magnetic base and the charger connects up to it. It’s pretty nice.
My dealer had this on his truck 3 weeks ago and we are a Friday stop as well, apparently everyone passed it up all week and nobody knew what the hell it was…I saw it and looked over the box and said what’s the price on this, knowing it seemed like a gem on the truck. He told me the price and I snatched it up quick. It is a lot of multimeter for the buck and everyone at the shop tried to order it after they saw mine and its on back order…guess I got lucky. Glad to see it being put out there on video so more techs can get some info on it. Thanks Clay for putting out yet another video showcasing new products that can be beneficial in the field.
@@moistcroissant3781 I paid 284.95 which was a few bucks less than my Matco advanced multimeter. I still love my Matco one, but this one seems to have a lot of features for the price. Didn’t really hesitate when my dealer told me the price for what you get. There is a bulletin for the battery tabs though I guess, but you basically just bend the tab contacts a little bit to make a tighter connection, nothing too major.
I didn't even go out to the truck. He came thru. We were all shooting the shit. He brought it up said what it could do. I asked price. 270. told him I'll take it. almost had my matco bill paid off. He got me. But power probe makes a bunch of good stuff. I got alot of there things.
Thank you Michael. This is a great showcase. 👍 Clay this is how all your tool truck videos should be. - the dealer should be able to explain the tool , not count on you clay to carry them. Wish wed heard a bit more from leslie today but really liked Michael's thoroughness.

I bought one of these. The guided functions are meh. What makes this great is the fuse test mode. Many people don’t know but PowerProbe has had a chart on their site that shows a voltage drop to amperage conversion . Using that chart you can calculate current flow through fuses. This meter has that algorithm built in. No more carrying around a laminated chart. I picked one of these up to put on the service truck. A couple problems with these is the leads have a plastic shroud that partially covers the tip. It can be cut off, but they should be removable. The next problem is the continuity mode is slow. It’s much slower than a Fluke, Owon, and a Kaiweets. I put my set of reference grade Probe Master leads on the meter and it still is slow. It’s fine for most things on trucks but it is very limiting on PCB’s. When I’m tracing circuit traces I need super fast continuity to find where traces go without board schematics.
That looks like a pretty good meter! I like the functions it has going for it. Might just have to put the ole blue point on the bench and sub in this power probe 😎 haha Also, I love me some red and black tools I need that t shirt. Great video clay
It's a nice beginner's meter. PP has a pretty slick, more advanced meter too. Lets you do some higher resistance testing which makes voltage drop testing a breeze.

That's a cool meter. It looks like it's a bit chilly down there. 🔧🔧🔧🔧
Good meter

wish that meter had a built in printer
I am about done with my Matco dealer. He isn't ever interested to covering warranties. He just wants to sell a subscription, then nothing else.
If he provides no service drop him and go with someone else
Tool truck tools are way too expansive not to receive the service of warranty right way. If he sucks drop him and move on.
💯💯💯
Kiero ver en action esa eramieta
Is that the new meter that it's supposed to check for for parasitic drains?
It can

Conpre una ygual y me trabajo y tengo mas de 3 semana y me yega la otro
i bought a stream light wedge
Can’t find anything on the multimeter is it not public yet?
Go to power probe direct. It’s been out for way over a year now
I think it’s a Matco exclusive, it’s not on Powerprobe website. The regular multi meters are but not the one with the test functions
@@KoonTrucking that would make sense
Is the meter a matco exclusive? I don't have a matco dealer but I did check their website and it wasn't listed.
Yes. I’m sure it will be released later for everyone else
Did you catch the price on that meter? Don’t see it on their website
No i didn’t ask. It’s new so they probably don’t have it on the website yet
It's $285. Bought mine last month, very neat meter.
😎👍😎
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I wish I could sell tools I just don’t want to own the truck I’d rather work for someone.
How is this exclusive to Matco?
how the hell dose his beard grow so fast lol
Sorry to say matco Mike. It is your kids. Usbc is way better than the old crap micro usb.. breaking all the time.
What is the point showing the tool you can't do a demo on it or how it works.
It’s a multimeter…. Not a lot to demo on it
What happened to you Mac guy
Michael needs a haircut lol
I'm sure his wamens will tell him when it's time.
Low effort from matco Michael
