Bagolini striated glass test

I have a doubt that line image interpreted by the subject which is similar to the direction of bagolini straited glasses aligned or opposite direction ?? So it is difficult to identify the eye suppressed..

That crossed image formation, shown in the first case is wrong I suppose, the image must be perpendicular to the striations, but it is shown as if the image is parallel to it, pls do explain

In the first response, the line is oriented in a paralel way to the striates on bagolini glasses. in the second response, the line is oriented perpendicular. I suppose the first one is wrong!
