I had the same rattle for years. Overfilled engine oil by a quart solved it. Been quiet for about a year now. Seems like the two piece siphon tube is to blame. Extra quart fills above that junction.

i have the same rattle but not just at start up. It is also rattling while the motor is running. is that still the chain you think?
