Do you have video of tapping into green wire front windshield heaters?

No, its very basic. I used these: amzn.to/34NJHlt you just put them over the wire. Squeeze until they snap in with pliers then attached the connector. I believe this is what you're asking correct?

I tried 2 t taps into green wire and does not work. I must be doing something wrong. Light bar works fine but switch does not light up. Oh well

When connecting to the wiper heater wire, does it allow the new switch to be dimmable with the dash lights?

By connecting the new switch to the green wire of the wiper heater button it allows the new switch to light up when the headlights are on. If the headlights are off then it is off. The new switch is not dimmable, simply on or off. I like it on so I can easily see which button is which at night and then when I press it on the rest of it lights up. The new switches do have 2 lights to them. One for the name and one for the image. Some guys just take both red/yellow wires and hook those up to your relay "blue" wire. Color varies for relays but typically it is blue(signal wire). Hope that helps, let me know if you have any other questions

Are the switches universal? Or you have to specific switches for your make and model?

These particular switches fit in the 5th gen 4Runner factory slots. I’m sure there are other similar switches for other vehicles.

Anyone have an issue with the button not clicking in place anymore unless you put pressure behind the switch pushing it the opposite way you push the button?

Try wrapping the switch frame with some electrical tape. I just got a new switch for a different light and I had to do that. Quality control varies per brand I've noticed.

Do you have to tie into the fuse box? I'm looking to experiment with an HHO generator, and I want to install it through the fuse box to an On/Off switch so I can turn it off before the truck is off to bleed out the HHO line.

I did not because my lights were already fused. You should probably fuse it but the switch does not need to go to the fuse box.

I thought black to black and red go to red. Green go to blue or white. Did u connect them correctly?

It depends on your lights and the relay. Some have blue some have white. With these switches, to have them illuminate when on and when the headlights are on just like the rest of the dash, you would wire it the way I did. You can also touch the wires and test them or use a multi meter.

That switch is the front windshield wiper heaters, not rear window defrost
