I understand now how the Namib Desert horses that I see at the waterhole manage to survive in this desert. More plant growth than I envisioned. Very beautiful.
Beautiful! Have been following their nature cam for a few weeks and wondered what the lodge and surrounding area look like. Except for the wildlife, you could pretty much drop the area into Eastern Oregon and you wouldn't notice much difference. Love the rugged beauty and red hills!

TT Happy Rock Those red hills are some of the oldest sand dunes in the world and, some of them are petrified. :))
