Hey, you need to do this with pitched balls going at least 60mph, I think those numbers will be way different on pitched balls. This doesn't acount for trampoline effect. Most of these bats have similar ball compression rates, it's the trampoline effect that makes them different. I think 917 and Meta will probably out shine the others on pitched balls. BESR is different because it compresses the ball differently. Great video though, keep it up.

Hey bud, thanks for catching that. We only want to provide accurate info. I checked my data and videos we took to make sure the info was right. I found the quatro did hit 87 however that was a typo in the doc. good thing is when I ran the AVG I had the correct information for the averages. Also the meta did have a max of 88 I just missed adding the video. Also I checked the avg velocity for the meta and the data was correct also. We prefer to make determinations off of the avg exit velocity vs the highest exit velocity. as it shows us what bats fit his swing the best. thanks for the help and pointing that out. thanks for watching. My son did like both the Quatro and the Meta. Drew didn't complain of one or the other feeling different to him. Matter of fact I hit both quite a bit and I personally liked the feel and sound of the Quatro better. Drew liked them both but overall the Meta just outperformed the Quatro for him at this time. I also tested myself hitting both bats and although I like the Quatro better my exit velocity was consistently higher with the Meta. I will be selling the Quatro if your interested in it. The thing is, the way the Quattro is designed with multiple walls gives it much much more pop off live pitching. It is unique because it beats the bbcor standard by having less pop against slower pitching or off the tee
You refer to the recommended bat as Meta Prim. When shopping for the bat it is listed as Louisville Meta and a separate bat is listed as Louisville Prime. In other they are listed as two separate bats. Please clarify. Thanks
Sorry man, the 2020 is Louisville Meta and is primarily dark blue. the 2019 version was the Meta prime and was a reddish/burgandy color. so for 2020 they dropped the prime. hopefully this clears it up for you and sorry for the confusion. I just posted a second video swinging the single piece voodoo and its legit and very well priced. I will have to look into the Easton's and see what they have. I know they haven't done well as of late but maybe things have changed.
My son has the same top exit velocity with his wood bat vs the composite/alloys in live pitching also. another thing to remember is some showcases my son has attended they do exit velocity off of a tee. as you can see in the testes some bats don't do well off of the tee due to the make up of the bats and inner barrels. I just heard that in a few days your getting 2-300 swings on those brand new bats For the future know that bats now aren’t made to last as long as bats before because bats before were made for 1000-1500 hits and they were changed to like 600-700 before they go “dead” now because the company’s weren’t making enough money although when a bat is “dead” it still has pop just not as much

I know my sons 917 has tons of swings on it as he has used to for bp and games for the last 3 years. I would have no doubt its will over 10k swings and he still has 92mph exit velocity with it. Is 2 mph worth $350? I picked up a 917 for 60 bucks. And a CF8 for $150. My kid isn't really benefitting from 10 feet. he's a gap to gap kid, right now at least. 8th grade. And knocking any bat or what folks do with their $$.
My kid used the 917 for years nothing wrong with that bat. the BBCOR standard has really restricted the bats now to be very consistent with the exit speeds of wood. Stayed tuned as we have a video coming out to show what a $100 bat does against the meta and other top bats.
you are correct. however we put about 400 swings on each bat and did not see a noticeable difference. Maybe they need more. not sure but we will continue to keep an eye on them as we use them and see if it gets better
I have believe you are correct with some composite bats like mens softball, women's fastball and years past youth bats. however the BBCOR technology does not seem to get the same results with more hits. We have well over 1000 hits on the meta and have seen no change in exit velocity. So we have to disagree with your statement. I believe the sweet spot has expanded but not exit velocity. thanks Mike
I was also under the same impression that it would get hotter as it was broke in. however now with many kids hitting with the meta I would bet it has at least 3k plus swings and his exit velocity has not changed. We never got to swing BESR's but no doubt they are hot bats.
I was at a JuCo the year the red voodoo came out, every team had 3 or 4 of them through the country

Ball quality makes a huge difference. My bp baseballs are 12+ years old and hit 5-10mph less than new basballs.
No doubt about that. That is why we used baseballs that had not been hit.
Please make a new video considering the meta prime in 33” is now banned would the quatro be the Best Buy?

Composite bats need a break in period .Your supposed to hit while rotating the bat in your hand.
