Greece: Trekking in Zagori and Meteora 2019

This exodus trek takes you to one of the best walking regions in Greece. Firstly to the Pindus Mountains in Zagori trekking among ancient villages, arch stone bridges, gorges, and Mountains in the Vikos National Park. We then travel East to admire the spectacular rock pillars of Meteora and trek in the footsteps of 11th Century Monks and seeing their monasteries perched on cliff tops.
We end in Thessaloniki, the second largest City in Greece.

Can I ask where you stayed in Zagori as accommodation in this region (online) either seems a bit scarce or expensive. The Vikos area looks beautiful how many days did you spend exploring..

Zagori Philoxenia in Monodendri we stayed for first two nights. Also stayed at Nikos & Ioulia in Papingo village. I don't know the prices as it was all part of an Exodus trek holiday. The whole trek was 8-days, but two of the days spent in Meteora, approx 2.5 hours drive from Zagori. Hope you get in somewhere. Phil
