i love this album
i love the whole mythology around it
i think this album ws when phoenix really found their sound and vision to be magnificent
also i completely relate to the things they say in this video:
an artist must trascend his pain and get to the most people possible
and also the part when they say they wrote like a thousand parts before they could craft complete songs , i relate to this too cause i'm a musician , and im about to finish my first nuch of songs and this is soo true
I love that they say that too. It rubs people the wrong way when people try to appeal to the masses. We aren't really that special as individuals. The best songs unite us all. Look at like Hey Jude or something. That song is for everyone but it's about one person. It's crazy.
As a little girl I listen to there music... Born in 1990, Heeeey!...I never knew who they were but oh do i now. They are truly, truly inspiring guys who knew their music would come about and at the same time they knew what they were doing bless y'all. Everytime I hear your music it takes me to a place I never knew existed but I always wanted to go and live forever. From Tangozsilly world thank you😘😘
The part about the middle section made me laugh hysterically. The whole pirate explanation, 'sink that ship!', and then the random mascot sitting behind them while they were listening/mixing/whatever. Wow.

no ! they are singing in english but they are french, they sound french. like many other french bands you don't know good as Phoenix.
what strikes me the most is that bus compressed cymbals starting at 1'14'', such an ear candy! beautiful song!!!
they had a song with a Godspeed You! Black Emperor solo...I love this band so much more now.
