It isn't Irish generosity that has allowed this to happen, it's Irish complacency and it's baffling that so many still don't fully understand what is going on! Their government has sold them all down the river and are bought and paid for by 'special interest groups'! The fact that this elderly man is still saying things like; 'I don't mind them coming here' and 'highlight their plight' is proof positive of the still prevalent terror of being called the 'R' word!!
It's not just Ireland. Here in Australia and every other western nation it's happening. There are some primary schools here that now have only 1 or 2 Aussie born English speaking kids in the class. Entire neighbourhoods are being destroyed culturally and communities are destabilised as a result. The violent crime rate in these and surrounding neighbourhoods has skyrocketed, with the most shocking and brutal random violence being perpetrated by some of these individuals. The governments of all these countries have bowed to some external pressure and sold out their people. Give it a few more years and none of us will recognise the countries we've lived in our whole lives.

We've been having this problem in Spain for ever and our supposed "partners" from the North were looking the other way instead of helping the southern countries like Spain, Italy or Greece, invaded every year when the weather is friendly. Problem is that These countries have not money or resources to protect such amount of people so, what happened? Well, they can stay in let's say Spain for a little while but no money, no gaff, (they don't want to work mostly) and no benefits or social protection like in the North (Remember the southern countries have no that much money and they bill the big corporations the right taxes), so other people from their countries or relatives around Europe told them about the Social benefits, health, housing etc in places like the U.K. Sweden, Belgium, France, Germany or Ireland for that matter and, well why are they going to stay around the South where the States tits were completely emptied long ago if here they'll find the Promise Land? There you have it.

I'm a builder and am required by law to rent a portaloo before starting even a small job so how come Dublin council let them shit in the street also when I emigrated to Spain in the 80s I had to show enough money to live at least one year and pay for accommodation Or OUT INSTANTLY
