you would be surprised to see that Minho is actually the NAGGY one haha :))) they take turns but you can watch the I Live Alone episode of Minho nagging Key for an hour straight lol
Those two grew so much closer. You can tell that Key is getting more clingy around Minho. Being a shawol for 11 years now I either never noticed their closeness before or they really are closer now.

You should watch a recent episode of the reality show "I Live Alone" which Key is a regular cast member on. In this episode we see that Minho and Key spent the night drinking with their manager at Key's house -- and they didn't just drink, they DRANK (Key had a major hangover the next day) -- and Minho ends up crashing on Key's couch. They spend the whole next day together and you really get to see how close they really are. Check out, I Live Alone episode 434. Not only will you get to see Minho and Key hanging out together, but the first half of this episode Minho's older brother is a friend of another cast member, so we get to see the Choi brothers on the same episode, but not together. (If you search you can find sites with full episodes with English subs.)
As you can see, it's a well established fact that when Key and Minho were trainees they didn't get alone because their personalities are the complete opposite. Even though Minho and Key are now very close and they have learned to understand and accept and respect their differences, it's still a running joke that they know how to push each other's buttons and they don't want to spend too much time together. Their hatred for each other is no longer real, but they play up their dislike as a joke. So any time Key or Minho is asked about spending time alone with each other or giving each other extra respect, etc. it's a given that they will both say no. (They've been together since they were about 14 years old when they started as trainees.)
They have a complicated relationship, because even though they were both born in 1991, which makes them the same age, Minho became an SM trainee first so he is considered a senior to Key, but Key is actually about 3 months older than Minho, so it has become a point of contention -- who deserves more respect? The older one or the one with more time in the industry? It all has to do with the Korean honorific system and how you are supposed to show respect for those who came before you and/or those who are older than you, etc. But neither one wants to concede to the other. So over the years it has turned into a funny power struggle between the two of them.
However, these days Minho and Key are super close and you always see them together, especially after being apart for almost 2 years while they served in the military. Minho really missed his members, and it seems Key in particular, because, as Taemin points out, you see them together all the time, even just hanging out. As Minho said, they are more like an old married couple now that just gets each other and knows what each other wants without even having to say anything.
I think that Minho and Key have naturally become close over the years as part of SM's design, because they are always next to each other in everything they do as a member of SHINee. Since debut, SM decided that the order the members always stand or sit in during interviews, press photos, photoshoots, etc. will be Onew on the left, Taemin next to him, Jonghyun in the middle, Minho next and Key on the right. And because of this, during photoshoots, when the members are paired up for different concepts, Minho and Key are often put together. I also think photographers like to put them together because their difference in styles and personalities make for a unique contrast.
Minho says the Key nags all the time, but Minho will do it to Key just to see him lose it lmao.

I love watching these two together. Recently on I Live Alone Minho said he loves teasing Key because he loves how cute he is when he gets all dramatic over it. I hope you got to see that. Also, you should watch It's Minkey's Date. It is so cute and Key's smile when Minho shows up is just about the most adorable thing ever.

the "i live alone" episode is made even funnier by the fact that minho said on his radio show that most of the pictures on his phone are of key but he can't share them bc key is drunk in most of them which means they must get together and drink like they did in i live alone ALL the time lmao

You're right that with a group that have been together for so long that there is going to be a deep relationship, they would have fallen apart by now otherwise. SHINee have been quite open about how their relationships were a bit difficult sometimes in the beginning, I think it really helped that they learned to respect each other as coworkers before they grew to love each other as friends. Their schedules from 2008 through 2016 were pretty much non stop either promoting or touring together so they really had no time apart for years.
I think around the latter end of that most of them were getting hungry for more re their solo careers yet since the post OMK enlistment era they've repeatedly stated how much they missed each other and how fond they are of being SHINee. Minho has always been the most demonstrative with his love for the other members but recently Taemin said that he had newly realised how much he valued promoting as a group, Onew seems to have a renewed sense of determination in continuing as an idol after somewhat doubting himself for a while and Key has become much more free with his affections with all of them.
I think these days they miss in person concerts with shawols the most, but as Key said "covid is real shit", fingers crossed everything will be safe and open by the time Taemin gets back. It would be fun to see some more of their solo music next, or maybe some of their dance practises?
Minho and Key's friendship is really enjoyable ☺️ Shinee shows that sibling bond that you can really relate to ✨✨

This video needs to be updated with the episode of I Home Alone (I believe this is the last one Key recorded from his house). Their relationship is just perfect in this episode!

Each members dynamics with each other are different but all so wholesome and heartwarming at the same time... ofc with chaotic in all of it. 😅😅😅
As lots of others have said, your next reaction should be to their recent I Live Alone episode. They take turns in the nagging. Key really over the top loses it at Minho. Some of it is mischievously deliberately provoked by Minho. I think he wants to see how far he can go. In any case, it's hilarious, Key certainly is a one of a kind type of guy.
