The more I watch this man the more I fall in love. I am totally in awe of how he manages to convey so much feeling in every song. His acting is just amazing. And his voice is to die for!
Well... I was not going to cry. And then he dared to open his mouth. Now I’m crying. Alone by the way. ‘Cause the line “we cried and we prayed together and then I was crying alone” hit different. Jeremy, you can’t do that to me. Too much perfection. I am never prepared for anything you do.
ALL OF HER PAPERS WERE IN ORDER; NOTHING WAS LEFT UNSIGNED. WE HAD THE HARD CONVERSATIONS ABOUT WHAT SHE WAS LEAVING BEHIND. THERE WERE SOME MOMENTS OF LAUGHTER. SHE PROMISED SHE WASN’T SCARED, BUT I WASN’T PREPARED. I WASN’T PREPARED. WE TALKED TO THE DOCTORS AND LAWYERS. I MADE SURE HER WISHES WERE KNOWN. WE CRIED AND WE PRAYED TOGETHER, AND THEN I WAS CRYING ALONE. NOTHING COMPARES TO THE SILENCE, ERASING THE LIFE WE SHARED. YOU CAN’T BE PREPARED. YOU CAN’T BE PREPARED. EVERYONE TALKS ABOUT LOSS LIKE IT’S PART OF A STORY - A GAME WE MUST PLAY. THERE’S DEATH AND DESPAIR IN THE NEWS EVERY DAY. HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE WHO DON’T CATCH YOUR EYE- HUNDREDS OF STRANGERS WHO QUIETLY DIE- ONE SOLE COMPANION YOU NEVER IMAGINED WOULD GO. BUT WHAT DID YOU KNOW? STRANGE HOW THE SUN KEEPS ON SHINING. WHAT A FALSE MESSAGE IT SENDS. PART OF THE SAGA OF LIVING IS LEARNING THAT EVERYTHING ENDS. SHE ASKED ME TO LET HER GO QUICKLY, SAID THAT’S WHAT I’D DO IF I CARED. BUT I’M UNPREPARED. I’M SO UNPREPARED. YOU’RE NEVER PREPARED. YOU’RE NEVER PREPARED.
me: okay so someone is just cutting onions. im totally fine this is not me crying... Jeremy Jordan: "But what do you... know?" me: *sobbing uncontrollably* WHY. why is life so painful like this? it's not fair.
I saw the comment that this song was about his mother but before I read that I thought this was about his wife. and for me I like it that way(I know it's just my interpretation) PS. I bought the CD this song is on. It was VERY different style, vocal wise and, I VERY MUCH prefer this live version of Jeremy's vocal than the recording.
Yep. Sheet music can be purchased here and if you look in the bottom right column, it's transposable! Enjoy. www.musicnotes.com/sheetmusic/mtdFPE.asp?ppn=MN0118092
@@GeorgiaStittMusic How did you come up with the melody for this? And how do you come up with melodies and musical ideas in general? Thanks for sharing.
Yeah, I’m with you on the plate noise. But, you’ll notice that all that noise stopped once he’s in the middle of the song! Such an amazing voice and actor.
It's from a show called THE DANGER YEAR and yes, it's a show that's still in development. In the show he's just lost his mother after a long illness. But you can interpret it however you want. Thanks!
This is the story "In Japan, there is a belief that people at certain ages experience a “danger year”-years of calamity, upheaval, and rebirth. For men, those ages are 25 and 42, and for women, 19, 33 and 37. Our revue, THE DANGER YEAR, brings five actors (3W, 2M) through these explosive and pivotal moments in their lives as they confront the choices they’ve made, the relationships they’ve built (or destroyed), the worlds they yearn for, and the worlds they can no longer sustain." I got it off of the writer's website. The first table reading was in 2014, but I'm not sure about any other news of its production.
My mother might have alzheimers so she always makes plans about the future and how she wants everything to be prepared. She even talked to us about euthanasia. She wants to test herself on the gene soon and if it’s positive it means we only have about 5 more years with her. You can’t be prepared.

Not only is he one of the best singers I've ever heard, the way he acts out the song with gestures and facial expressions is incredible.
Whoa. This is the most heartbreaking song and performance ever. Jeremy's voice and his acting are truly incredible.

The whole evening was great but this was the most gut wrenching number. The song perfectly captured how it feels to be the one left behind. Thank you.
Beautiful song. My mother died at 26. A shock to everyone. Aneurism. You're never prepared.

Okay, who is making plate noises over Jeremy Jordan???
Yeah, I’m with you on the plate noise. But, you’ll notice that all that noise stopped once he’s in the middle of the song! Such an amazing voice and actor.
Does anyone know the story or plot line to this because it says it's from musical or is this just like something that is sill in the works?

thank you so much :)

@georgiestittmusic is there any update on THE DANGER YEAR?

I am so sorry, what a difficult journey you all have....🙏❤️
