This board model has served me well for a long time. But of course, it's always a question of luck with a Chinese board; just happens I was lucky. I will go ahead now and pre-order, in the hope the TPM can be successfully made; I might even do an update to my video about this board if so. Never had bad luck with any Machinist motherboards this far, had quite a few this far😅 Might consider this for a proxmox server in time, but will atleast eait for your review👌🏻 Just recieved Machinist ITX Strong motherboard, seems good this far. Even shows 1866Mhz for ram and seems like it overclocks my i7 4790k cpu abit aswell🤔 The ramslots was abit flimsy clips on, but working..
i think you cannot because the board supports only ecc ram and core series dont work with ecc ram besides you can get single socket x99 boards more cheaper then this
AM5 or Threadripper? I'm not too sure about AM5 but Threadripper on it's newer generations is pretty strong! Anyway maybe both options presented(AM5 and Threadripper) may not be as cost friendly as these Dual Xeons but it all depends on pricing where you live.
Got my mainboard today. Interestingly it was with an cmos battery. I bought it on amazon in germany but it was schipped from china. Put 8x16GB Ram in it. First I had to start it only with two sticks. Changed some settings BIOS as it booted with only two ram sticks. In my case it was Slot 1 and 5. I checked all of my ram in a pair of two an all worked. The Ram I bought on ebay here. ECC-Ram sticks. They were used so I took the risk an bought them, but right now everything works. While booting it says JUXIESHI.

The CONNECTORS are x16. That doesn't mean there are 16 lanes of communication; maybe some of the connectors have only 8 lanes - so, PCIe x8.
