This, and Jenny the teenage robot were my top favorite shows that funny enough I can still watch today without cringing. Smartly done with cool powers and art for the kids and a pretty good story and humor for teens and up.
It’s sad too because butch hartman didn’t want the show to end the way it did. He still tries to get the rights to the show so he could continue it and end it right 🫡great video. One of the best cartoons.

I know it wasn't relevant to the plot but I did miss how he didn't cover ember and how we would remember her name.

I wish you mentioned where Valorie came from since she was a love interest for Danny and that it couldn't work because she hated ghost so much. Was one of my favorite stroylines of the show but other than that great video as usual.
He should've mentioned Ember as well. Not only was it because of her love spell that Danny and Sam found out about each others feelings to begin with, but later on she develops a crush on danny as well.

I get Vlad somewhat. All his riches (which he stole) are caused by loneliness and don’t forget Vlad spent years in the hospital after the accident so, he probably could not find love again because he was middle aged when he was discharged. All that being said, treating Maddie like an object and not forgiving your bumbling friend for the mistake he made years ago is where l lose sympathy for Vlad. So glad he redeemed himself in the Ultimate Enemy and again in the A Glitch in Time comic
TH-cam algorithm showed me this video. I don't think I'd ever finished the series as a teen. Watched all of Season 1 and most of Season 2 but almost none of Season 3.
Considering I don't find the time for so many things I want to do now, it's good that I was able to watch this.

The 2nd to last episode tips off what the Season 4 story arc would have been.
and the last episode really does look slapped together last minute. it didn't feel like a big finale to an entire show, so much as it felt like a huge turning point to the upcoming storyline.
Has to be my favorite cartoon growing up. Had just rewatched the entire series again a few months back and this is a great reminder of how great it was. Only parts I feel you glossed over was where Valerie came into the show and Vlad's mayoral run in Amity Park.
Honestly the thing I loved about this show is that exactly like you said not all ghosts are bad. The villains and heros in this show are very realistic in a way where most of the villains are just misunderstood and need help being better. Danny is like the middle man keeping the peace between both realities. While doing all of that though he’s also dealing with very relatable high school issues and the whole thing just works man.

It's already confirmed to be getting a sequel in Fall 2025, and I'm pretty hyped to see what happens next considering where the first graphic novel left us at.

Weird, how I remember the finale playing out was they got every ghost from the Ghost Zone and formed a "band" holding hands all around the Earth . No tubes at all. Could that be a regional difference ? Or am I just misremembering it? (edit) and WHAT is up with that thumbnail ?

I strongly feel that the cartoon show, deserves to get rebooted now.
If the cartoon show, does get rebooted someday; I imagine after the Fourth Season of it, later it shows DANNY is in college.
In addition I imagine that (Danny Fenton) fights against ghosts there, and he fights against ghosts in areas around college.
What I love about old series is that you could watch any episode and would still understand the story without explaination, because the intros were just too good

Dannie(Not Danny), is actually a mutation created by Vlad/Plasmius. Vlad wanted a Danny Phantom of his own basically and wants her to defeat Danny. Obviously they grow close and to explain how they look so alike, they tell everyone she's his cousin.

I still have fond memories of this show, and it's perhaps the best Nickelodeon cartoon they've ever had; I much prefer this sort of teenager-mature themes to, say, how immature and repetitive SpongeBob can be or the childlike wonder in The Fairly OddParents (that's my second-favourite Nick show).
It's such a shame that the show was ended partway through Season 3, meaning we never got a resolution to several plot points (evil Dan denting his Thermos from inside, Valerie finding out about Vlad and halfas, etc.). The eventual comic book we got is great, as it proves Danny hasn't been forgotten, but it doesn't exactly close off the Valerie/Vlad or Dani plots, so...sigh.
The Ink Tank's "5 Years Later" webcomic is also great, as it allows an older Danny to do heroics again alongside Ben Tennyson, but...being a distant sequel means it doesn't touch Dani or Valerie, from what I've seen.
Really, the two shows I wish never got cancelled partway through a Season are Danny Phantom and the original 60s Thunderbirds show; both were excellent and, for the most part, still hold up well today (I much prefer the puppets to the CGI reimagining we got last decade, in terms of Thunderbirds; sure, the machines are more detailed now, and Thunderbird 5 is way more prominent, but I hate how they butchered sweet and kind Tintin into the tomboy Kayo, and turned Grandma Tracy from a sweet old granny who cooks good food into, well, a more shrewish character whose cooking is horrendous. Plus, the puppet show had 50-min episodes instead of 30, allowing for way more action scenes and buildup; it also doesn't repeat Thunderbird launches every single time, instead wisely skipping parts for the sake of dramatic tension).

It was a fantastic show and will always be nostalgic for the kids who have been around since the 90s but butch messed it up in season 3 when it could have gone for another season. Anyway, i came here to point out some missed parts of the series where it featured the debuts or backgrounds of some characters and other characters that weren't involved in this video, as well as danny getting additional powers. Could be interesting, nonetheless.
- in purple back gorilla, skulker was originally a tiny ghost that used a robotic ghost suit to hunt in the world. It was also shown that tucker had a pda that can be useful at times, as it hacked skulker via the original pda and jammed him up.
- ember's debut showed that sam and danny got jealous about each other the first few times, something that also developed their relationship later on.
- anybody noticed how mr. lancer used actual poems or books from the real world as personal slangs in the show? He had plenty.
- there's a prison in the ghost zone where it was ruled by walker and his minions. It indicates that there's police in that specific universe somehow.
- fright knight, pariah dark, vortex, nocturn and undergrowth were also interesting, powerful villains. Why were they not featured here? Some lesser ones as well, like the poindexter, johnny 13 (his bike too) and prince aragon.
- valerie's background could have been highlighted, on why she became a ghost hunter and turned against ghost danny. Despite the fact that she was his gf for a short time.
- that girls night out episode where it mainly featured ember, kitty and spectra having beefs with their respective bfs who planned to ruin amity park while danny was away. So maddie, jazz and sam had to handle them instead to avoid losing all men in the world.
- he had interesting ghost friends too, like cujo who's a young dog. Wulf was another one whom he saved from walker's prison. Then frostbite and his kins befriended and praised him for defeating pariah dark.
- his ghostly wail was a classic. He had to revert back to his human form each time until he was able to withstand all the pressure from using it in the final episodes.
- lastly, he learned of duplicating himself, gained ice powers and other powers too but only as the series succeeded.
Oh well, it's too long. Still a nice show and great vid showing what people can see in this impressive masterpiece.
My little sister use to watch this show when she was younger (8). When my mom couldnt afford to pay for cable anymore I took over the bill so my little sister could enjoy her shows like this one

'The best ending to a TV show'. Yeah, I heavily disagree with that. Maybe the ending was nice and all, but the execution was horrifyingly rushed, and just felt like it didn't work. Maybe in a vacuum, and with just season 3 alone, it might've worked, but when comparing it to the first 2 seasons, especially after watching The Ultimate Enemy, it felt very off.
Like why did Vlad, who's usually smart and cunning, reveal himself to the world when there was a hundred other plans he could've come up with to 'save the world' without risking himself? Why did Danny get rid of his powers completely? He didn't know if going back into the portal would've worked. He could've just laid low for a while, or use literally any other Fenton invention to hide his ghost half from the Master Blasters. And Valerie... poor Valerie just got done dirty there, not having a single speaking role, especially after that dramatic ending to the episode just before Phantom Planet where she plans to expose Vlad's ghost half. We don't even get to see how she truly felt about Danny being the ghost boy she hated so much, especially since she and Danny once dated each other.
The asteroid itself didn't need to exist, there was already an interesting premise with the Master Blasters taking over Danny Phantom's job, and charging people, and Vlad having the master plan going on here. I would've liked to see where that could've done, but nope, gotta interrupt it all with a world ending asteroid that... somehow has anti-ghostly properties, which makes absolutely no sense. And Vlad just gets a joke of an ending by being stranded in space, and it was played for laughs.
Oh yeah, why, in the entire nonsensical world did Danny felt the need to expose his own identity to the ENTIRE FREAKING WORLD!? Just because his parents know? That's not an excuse. He could've just said he'll talk to them at home, then reveal it AT HOME. Not to mention, yeah, Danny was a hero, but so what? It's not like being a hero stopped the Guys in White from hunting him down before in Reality Trip. What's to stop them from trying to get around the laws to take in the interesting half human, half ghost specimen back to their lab for experiments? Remember, this wasn't an accident, Danny CHOSE to expose himself to the world there. Oh, but he gets a happy ending because the show needed an ending I guess.
I think they could've just had it where Danny finally tells the truth about his ghost half to his parents, and the Fentons promise to work together to keep the world safe from ghosts, and guys like Vlad, who's still lurking in the world and still has his powers at the mayor of Amity Park and his wealth. End it on a good note, but not make it the 'end all be all' ending, implying the series could still go on without involving the entire world. But I guess I'm in the minority about this since a lot of people seem satisfied with this joke of an ending for whatever reason.
I apologize, I'm very passionate about Danny Phantom, and this ending gets under my skin. I did enjoy the video, though I felt like it needed to be longer as there was a lot of things you skipped.
