Why don’t you use peat. So much cheaper and faster. Also why don’t you use blue clay for all the molds and storage? Just asking. It’s ur game so u play how you want. I’m just curious
Good questions! Honestly it just comes down to what I have on hand or what is local to me and easier to get. I don't really care for peat most of the time (I don't really have an explanation as to why, I guess I just view peat and regular firewood the same? I know they aren't and I think peat has better fire times lol I just favor wood I suppose since I can also make charcoal, which I think about more so), but especially when I live local to redwood trees, where I can get a lot of wood quick. Also I use fireclay since there's more recipes under fire clay, and blue clay is slightly more limited to other things like bloomery's.
