He says the numerator is too large, but he meant to say the numerator is too small, or he meant to say the denominator is too large. If anyone can confirm that I'm right please do so.

No he's right. If the numerator of Q is large, it means you have a lot more of the products than you do reactants. According to LeChatlier's principle, the reaction will proceed in a way that favors more reactant formation.
You are right,timurbo. Starting around 3:55 he says “if Q is too small, then that means that the numerator here is too large. The numerator is the products.” Then he quickly states (correctly) “if these products are too small, because Q is too small … I should go towards products.” He definitely misspoke, he should have said that the numerator is too SMALL, not too large.
