I do sympathize with you tho, your generation has had really awful teachers who have placed importance in school uniform codes and making everyone feel special, than in properly teaching their students lessons that will help you all succeed in life. I listen to my nephews teachers, and it breaks my heart how unprepared students are when it comes to life. It shouldn’t be that way.
On the contrary, Prof Cooper would make the lessons too hard and the exams impossible to pass and eventually you would completely lose interest in physics. But he can't be a professor because he despises teaching and no one would register his class.

I don't know why Sheldon was given so much importance, I know it's a comedy show and in the end he did have character development, he's a very flawed character and very toxic one at that. The should have also focused more on Leonard or raj or both, Leonard after marriage to penny get's zero character development although the development prior is kinda meh, raj gets absolutely zero character development. The only three characters that got development and still remained funny were Amy, Howard and Bernadette. The other four characters were just stuck in their early twenties with Sheldon being the most toxic.
