So the breakup/farewell in the lyric represents disbanding of BTS and it's saying how the idea of "disbanding" tears his heart and makes him tear. They are great!, I love how they talk about heartbreak, and regardless the sadness of the topic, they made it sound powerful. Their presence on the stage is a mixture of authenticity and charm. Their lyrics are different and refreshing compare with other rappers that talk about drugs, guns, sex, cheating,....bla, bla, bla...the same toxic topics. That is one of the reasons why BTS have a lot of of fans. Their lyrics have always a message.

I've seen them live 3 times and have to say that the rap line has a different kind of energy. These three know how to draw people in and work a crowd. (Jimin also has that same kind of vibe) Their live concerts are a different kind of experience.
There in the comments are different Interpretation of what the song could mean. And in away it was about a break up not in a romantic way.
