  • Dr. Kathleen Martinez sets out on a maverick journey to search for Cleopatra's lost tomb. Using her detective skills Kathleen comes up with a new controversial theory on the location of the tomb, which leads her to an overlooked temple site called Taposiris Magna 40km west of modern day Alexandria. If she is proven right, not only will Kathleen solve one of Ancient Egypt's greatest mysteries but she could establish herself as the most important archaeologist in history.

They say she isn't a trained archaeologist - but none of the original ones were either and they found hundreds of tombs! Mind you they did blast a few open using dynamite. Kathleen is being very professional in the way she's working. I hope she finds Cleopatra's tomb one day.

I’ve been watching her on TV for years, they gave her the old temple for her to play in figuring she’d find nothing because she wasn’t a trained archaeologist, but she fooled everyone finding coins, statues of cleopatra. She is the one to watch because she really wants to find her. I hope she does, good for her.

UPDATE: According to this online article (published in 9 December 2019) Kathleen is planning to get a permit from Egypt government to do an undersea expedition. "And for next season, one thing we're going to propose is that the Egyptian government allow us to carry out the first undersea exploration in search of the seaport of Taposiris Magna. We have some great projects," Martinez said." So far that's the latest update I can find, her official insta hasn't been updated since April 2019, perhaps she's busy or currently filming a new show and the pandemic will surely halted her expeditions. Nevertheless, I hope I can finally see the great Cleopatra's tomb in my lifetime. Wish her all the best!

Needs higher resolution subssurface imaging techniques so that we can identify buried structures faster and with more detail.
Right now we need to literally be standing on the surface to get a reading - perhaps if we could mass produce some kind of desert rovers with ground penetrating radar and sonar devices it could speed up mapping potential sites from ancient Egypt rather than waiting for people to do it all in person.

Cleopatra was not buried, or in fact killed in Egypt...and it plays into the reason why there is no written first hand account of her death...she died around people who hardly knew her..

This women has been called fit to burn as we say in the north of England and my god she certainly is showing them how it’s done by taking a degree while searching for Cleo ….
And she has got her degree and has done so much for the real people wanting to do this , and she really has….the first person who helped her was mr Egypt himself who’s name escapes me but I’m sure you know…who I’m talking about….he himself came from nothing so he was more than happy to give her the searching time….it’s so exciting what she has achieved and all the top dogs with millions who have already been there searching found nothing ! They did not look hard enough and just took the money and ran ,she came with nothing and has found lots including mummy’s …….good luck go find her and prove them wrong…..your amazing….

I'm Egyptian, A COPTIC CHRISTIAN EGYPTIAN.
I shout that out loud because we are the most pure blooded Egyptians out there and that's not only my opinion that's what Egyptologists, Historians and Scientists also agreed on,
and I tell you that every word that Bassem Youssef said is right and I totally agree with him.
Yes Egypt had lots of mixed cultures throughout its history like for example: Assyrians, Greeks, Romans and Arabs, but the Egyptian blood didn't mix and change that much and that's because for centuries we Egyptians had a golden tradition rule to marry our cousins, and that tradition is still present until now especially in Upper Egypt(from Assiut to Aswan), Although that tradition seems silly and bad from a scientific biological point of view, but that doesn't matter, silly or not we kept that tradition of marrying our cousins for centuries and that helped us to preserve our pure Egyptian blood not mixed as long as we could, and the result is what you see now and that is Modern Egyptians looks typical to their Ancient Egyptian Ancestors, just look at my skin color and Bassem Youssef's skin color we are almost the same although he is a Muslim who was born and lived in Cairo and I am a Coptic Christian who was born and lived in Luxor and there is almost a 1000 km distance between us, doesn't that tell you a thing or two about who Ancient Egyptians were and what they looked like?
With all due respect for all the Black people and all the other ethnicities out there, but we Egyptians are special very special, WE ARE NOT Black or White or Yellow, Not Europeans or Africans or Asians, Not Assyrians or Persians or Israelites or Nubians or Greeks or Romans or Arabs or French or Italians or Germans or British or Turkish or Ukrainians, Not Middle Easterners or Caucasians or Mediterraneans or Levants or Amazigh or Berbers or even North Africans.
    WE ARE
    EGYPTIANS,
    WE ARE
    VERY UNIQUE!

What is interesting is that Kate did not study archaeology to become an archaeologist. She is self taught. Meaning she has money and time to waste digging around in the sand in some remote corner that no one else wanted to look in. This is why it took her such a long time to get someone we know has a degree in Egyptian Archaeology to come and view the bodies...found. Kate is going by good golly, lets dig there. or there, or there. There are bodies all over Egypt in the sand somewhere. Much relies on LUCK. If she did find Cleo's tomb(I hope she does) she will SURPASS Howard Carter, because no one heard of Tutamosis before the discovery as he was buried in a $hithole burial site(not a Pharaohs tomb). Luck was had by Carter on that find...mind you he was running out of time to dig...and was running out of spots that were not already DUG.

They didn’t know about this underground base so she was safe there with her children and some of her people.
This is why there is no tomb of her bc she wasn’t killed but continued in her own .
Octavio was cold leader demonic being he only wanted power .
So she really found her tomb but with no body. She found her last place before she get out of Egypt.
