Buttoned. I would say yes, as it is dead center. Many say hit closer to the top, but I prefer your strike, hitting it right out of the middle. To me I drive best thinking of it as a placement shot, and not just trying to blast it as far as I can. Thanks.
I played the TSr3 for a year before swapping to the Qi10 LS on a whim. Picked up everywhere by a long shot. Better dispersion, more yardage, a solid 5-6 mph ball speed, and more consistent spin on off center strikes. Both in 8 degree heads as well. I’d choose the look and sound of the Titleist ALL day long, but I couldn’t deny the performance increase
Have been using the Qi10 LS for 2 months now and having always struggled with confidence off the tee, has boosted my confidence massively. The feel out the face is soft which takes getting some used to but I feel like I get away with murder from those off-centre strikes.
Great head to head Michael. Maybe to change it up, throw in at least one more or 2 drivers into these head to head reviews. Top 4 to include Ping G430 max and Callaway AI smoke. Usually you dive more in depth into the stats at the end, but can see GT2 was clearly the winner here. better smash factor and more carry yards. Im holding on to my TSR3 for a few more years, possibly 4-5 years until after i retire. i was custom fit last fall for the TSR3 and its the best feeling/sounding/performing driver ive ever played. sure i would get a few extra yards on good solid strikes with a new GT2 or 3 over my TSR3 but ive been down that road before changing drivers every 1-2 years and these are too expensive to repeat the same spending behavior.
swapped my TSR2 with my buddy's Qi10LS for the month. The TSR2 is wayyyyyy better in every way. They feel just as light and speedy but the TSR2 is way better sounding, has better feel and even looks marginally better. I bet the GT2 is even better (not sure how much better drivers can get these days but I'm sure it's better)
The crown is carbon on the Titleist. They can call it proprietary polymer but is a woven composite material held into a shape with a resin. Splitting hairs.
I watch your videos to study your swing. Initially, I believe the Titleist is the better product. I tried every driver brand under the Sun. Two stood out, and one of the two was never made again by the brand. I’ll start with that. Cobra F9, works with my swing, and game. Great ball flight. Second, and now my club BRAND to go for driver is Titleist. From 915, 917 , and 975j found at thrift, great ball flight, straight when I want, draw when I want. Thought it was a fluke. Until I fitted myself for a TSR, settled on the TSI3 used one season, and $250 cheaper. My game isn’t good enough to spend $500 on one club. Sold my SIM 2 the day after my first round. Speaking to the fitter, he did tell me the majority of warrantee claims was Taylormade. Stealth mainly.
I didn't see a difference in the apparent size when you had them side by side. Maybe something you can see in person but not as much on screen. At least the view at address.
Good comparison. But wouldn’t GT2 vs Qi10 Max been apples to apples? Just saying. GT2 is the forgiving model in GT lineup, Qi10 Max is the same for TM. On the lighter side, I think the Titleist won hands down considering the impact marks on the face. You missed the middle of the Titleist every shot. 😂😂🥂
Have always liked Taylormade but driver wise they last their way last couple of years. There is a lot of distrust on carbon faces and qi10 max (which was the purpose of the line) is too high spinning for most golfers to get max distance. Sure titleist doesn’t have the marketing but if given the choice I would take a TSR2 for $300 over a stealth 2hd for $200
How about a test of the newly released Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke “MAX Triple Diamond” vs the other top dog drivers of 2024? Very limited production model from the tour just released for public purchasing. It combines the best of both worlds the max and the triple diamond into one club. Or test it against the older Epic Max LS and others from the past to compare any gains or losses
Wouldn’t of used a Ventus Blue with either head kinda a waste for comparing should of used a low launch shaft since those drivers are already made to go up
I’m biased as I’m a TM fanboy but I think qi10 sounds better but the gt2 sounds good too! Had a TSI2 and couldn’t get rid of it fast enough…face felt dead and slow.
@@ben1ben2ben1 I’m sure it comes from the fact that I hit it like crap that has made my feelings on it biased. I’m one of the nuts that loved the sound of the square Nike driver (gen 2 and 3; not 1!)!!!!

Titleist, ping maybe even Callaway are meant to last a lifetime, Taylormade gets dated very quickly and looks worn much faster than the others,, the spyder putters look terrible after a couple seasons with there paint,,
The shaft has to be matched to how you hit a certain head. You can take the same shaft and put it in 2 different heads and get different results. Shaft is just a transmission of energy. Most overrated statement in club fitting is the current obsession with shafts. Some heads are legitimately better than others for certain players
All of the Qi10 drivers and fairway woods have a terrible clear coat finish. You can see sanding marks on them. Every one of them I’ve had to buff out to get a good gloss.
Tried every driver today to suit me but the GT2 was unreal great video
Thanks for the video, you have a amazing swing, perfect balance and tempo, wow
Great analysis as always! Best for club reviews!!!!!

My god indeed that Qi10 is horrendous looking!!

I play the regular Qi10 and you’re right, it’s insane how good it does on miss hits.
GT2 vs TSR2?

So, what is the dispersion looks like when you finish all the shots instead of just three of each shot?
Did we mention the obscene price ???
Is that Ventus TR black or blue?
Any reason why you didn’t compare GT2 to Qi10 max as they both claim to be the most forgiving in their driver ranges?
Titleist will release the GT1 soon to compete with the Qi10 Max. They still have the TSR1 in their lineup ATM as their most forgiving
Any chance you could do GT3 against G430 LST?

If you drop the two lowest Qi10 shots and the two lowest GT2 shots, there is no statistical difference in the two clubs!

Twist face ?
I don’t like that the alignment mark on the Titleist driver says GT.
If Ike to see it up against a distance focused drive.

It was a Ventus TR Blue 6x. It’s between a Ventus Blue and Ventus Black so a pretty neutral shaft to test with. Low/Mid Launch.
Would like to see comparison with AI Smoke Max.

I hate my qi10. Feels so dead faced coming from a tsr3.
Yeah, I tested a qi10, and it felt very mushy.
New GT models feel dead too since theyve changed crown material
@@TubezillaI disagree
For 99.9% of golfers it will make zero difference . A shaft that matches swing speed is much more important . This is just marketing .
