Two things that always bothered me about construction in Fallout 4: you can't fully restore Sanctuary Hills, get rid of all the broken roofs and garbage inside the houses, and even freshly built structures look like something pulled out of a shantytown, ugly, worn and rusted.
in fairness. that makes some sense. you are making these out of 210 year old scrap metal and long dead wood so even if its Freshly Built, it's still made of poor materials. I do agree though. you should be able to scrap the piles of trash at the very least. or have a repairing mechanic for places like the castle or sanctuary.
Yes you can! There is a mod a don't remember the name that you can get rid of the trash and also restore every house walls and windows with a cost os 60 scrap metal.

Here to definitely back up the recommendation for the Snappy Housekit: like at least 80% of the structures in my settlements are built using tiles from the Snappy Housekit mod. Most of the remaining 20% of the main structures is either Barn Additions (for barns, sheds, warehouses, pier shacks & pier stuff) or occasionally vanilla structure components (mainly concrete stuff for my artillery platforms or the Vault-Tec stuff for my turret towers).
10/10 video I’m a fallout veteran on console (I played all the ES games on pc dw) and I never knew these mods existed till now and they’re exactly what I needed

Be careful with SOE pack on console. If you have issues with any textures in the pack either rearrange your mod list or delete the mod and reinstall it. There is an option in the holotape to “reset to default” which will corrupt your entire mod list and crash your game. You’ll no longer be able to get back into your mods. The prompt will be there but it will say “this operation can not be completed.” The only way to fix this if it happens to you is to go into the game save data and clear the reserve space (all mod data). You’ll then have to redownload all your mods.
Most of this should’ve been part of the main game. You cant tell me that they cant build good looking structures just because there’s been a war 200 years ago.😂
Another good mod would be No limits to build and NSA settlement mod for only be attacked when you are in settlement and no outside because there is a. bug that when you are out and you return your settlement you see all destroyed or your resources were stolen even if you settlement wasnt attacked.
They seriously need to give us more GB. They’re forcing us to choose between a fun combat/exploration, or a fun settlement and RP experience. Let us have both Bethesda.
Lol they didn't give more space after the "Next-Gen" update. What's so next gen about only having 2 GB of mod space when you can literally have 16 TB of storage space on a console with an internal and external 8 TB HDD with an SSD stick also. Bethesda sucks.
There is no working "Place Anywhere" or "Place in red zones" mod for ps4. I wish someone would make one already but for now we just have to make do with the rug glitch and pillar glitch.
I got rid scrapping mods and seems to run better with lots of objects. I can put up with the mess for performance, also I use true grass mod to hide a lot of the trash. I use place anywhere mod & Settlement extended (cant play without it). nice mods.
I believe the new update knocked out a bunch of mods due to the scripts changing. I think a lot of modders are working to fix the issue. Give it time, these will be back

I thought from the video you could push objects into the ground. I'm finding objects can be placed if red but the still are limited to the ground mapping.
I download USO base game, USO season pass, creative clutter, and Ocdecorator with the dlc version too. But I’m on Xbox and it was too many item for my workshop menu and my game would just crash. And so I thought I uninstalled them correctly and that fixed the crashing but now I’m missing textures 😢 please help.

@@aseannessienot I own F4 and all the DLC on steam. I'm just not very smart with tech and had to be shown in person how to use Nexus. It's probably something super obvious I need to click, I just can't find it.
@@siah1166 just use the qwapr mod or whatever, when you use the place anywhere fence post you can do the red zone as well. There’s a bunch of TH-cam videos on it to learn the different functions you can use

cages overhaul would be one of the best settlement mod becauuse it let you assign your power amor to settler and give them order to defend so you can have custom power armor used for another also ypur companions. and let you have each creture and enemie in your settlement without have a hostile or extra attack in your settlement like it happen with normal cages which increase probability attacks for x creature or enemie. a gunner settlement, super mutant settlement, nuka creatures or far harbor enemies in asettlement without they fight with others like happen with cages when you have diferent creatures in a settlement or have too many settlers you need or variants like kids , doctors , etc becuse wiith cages catching settlers yourpopulation will increase all time that you want without need charisma or those things. The only bad of this mod would be kill the inmersion and difficult in the game because there are institute, brotherhood and ferrotrail npc in cages like npc with power armor to catch in a cage and defend or do things in your settlement so is a way to get x 01 power armor being lv 1 but well that depend of everyone. Settler with power armor assigned never will let it in a random places like happen with companions or random settler that used your power armor. They will let power armor when you talk them automatically. when your settler let a power armor for you order this power armor have name of stolen and. you need scrap 2 pf this power armor frame to create power armor frame assignabled , i see a way to change when your settler are defending their armor is comoletely broken you can get all from them without have it stolen and give use to power armor frame stolen of this mod.

Because this add option to assign power armor to settler which i dont know why. the most of mods in ps4 dont have it but it can help a lot to farm creatures and materials if you ant to create a farming place or for combats also create specific cages need a kind of material which dont break the inmersion and all npc or creatures or enemies that you get feel more special because it costed you and dont need emisor beta to pacific them. All enemies or npc can be a diferent variant or legendary variant . Also cage overhaul have special variant of another creature like " a giant cat", "mini robot centinelas" , "mini behemots", "giant mikelurk death red" which finally attack and do honor to the name, mine version or giant of another creatures and some custom version of them and another extra npc.

There did used to be a mod which completely restored Sanctuary to pristine pre war condition.
Scrap everything mod helps with that. But you should save often and be careful not to scrap too much

scrap everything can remove everything down to the dirt if you really want.
