The first expansion added "skins" that allow the player's character to appear as Star Wars figures other than Starkiller, such as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Qui-Gon Jinn, Jango Fett, C-3PO, Luke Skywalker, Darth Maul, Darth Sion, Mace Windu, Plo Koon, Kit Fisto and Ki-Adi-Mundi
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is an action-adventure video game and part of The Force Unleashed project. It was initially developed for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Wii, and Xbox 360 consoles and on the iOS, second-generation N-Gage, Nintendo DS, PlayStation Portable, and Java-equipped mobile phone handhelds.
The game was released in North America on September 16, 2008, in Australia and Southeast Asia on September 17, and in Europe on September 19. LucasArts released downloadable content for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles. An Ultimate Sith Edition of the game, containing new and all previously released expanded content, was released in November 2009, which also came out on Mac OS and Microsoft Windows.
The project bridges the first two Star Wars trilogies, acting as an origin story for both the united Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Civil War depicted in the Original Trilogy. The game introduces a new protagonist, "Starkiller", as Darth Vader's secret apprentice, who is tasked with hunting down Jedi while killing rebels and Imperials alike in order to hide his existence from the Emperor, but soon starts to slowly redeem himself to the light side of the Force.
Reviews offered fairly positive response, praising The Force Unleashed for its compelling story, robust physics, impressive art and soundtrack, while some more negative reviews cited frustrating gameplay. Despite this, the game was a bestseller in the United States and Australia, with over one million copies sold its debut month. As of February 2010, the game has sold over seven million copies, and it is the fastest-selling Star Wars video game. A sequel, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, was released in October 2010.
The Force Unleashed is a third-person action game in which the player's character's weapons are the Force and a lightsaber. Developers treated the main character's lightsaber like another Force power, and wanted to ensure "something visceral and cool" happened with each button-push. The game has a combo system for stringing lightsaber attacks and for combining lightsaber attacks with Force powers. Experience points earned by killing enemies and finding artifacts can be used to increase Starkiller's powers and traits. The gameplay is intended to be easy to learn; the development team included "horrible" gamers to help ensure the game's accessibility. Players can casually run and gun through the game, but the game rewards those who take a stealthy, more tactical approach. The game includes enemies that are easy to overcome; game difficulty arises from presenting these enemies in large numbers that can wear down the player's character. Additionally, enemies learn from the player's character's attacks; using the same attack on different characters can sometimes lead to the player's character doing less damage. The enemies, which number over 50, have various strengths and weaknesses; developers faced the difficulty of effectively placing them throughout the game's varied environments.

Sam Witwer has offered so much to star wars, starkiller, palpatine, Darth Maul, ect. A very talented voice actor, as well as a committed fan.

This doesn't really need a remaster, the graphics are still good to this day. The only thing I would like to be remastered is maybe the combo system and multiplayer.
If you really think about it, The Force Unleashed I and II both have better stories than Last Jedi and Force Awakens.
If only Lucasfilm and Disney will legitimately listen, they may make TFU canon once again.
All we need to do is get rid of Kathleen Kennedy.

The Force Unleashed was well put together, I just wish that Starkiller wasn’t so OP and that it was a bit more realistic. I love the idea of Vader taking on an apprentice so too bad this isn’t canon anymore.
... and the gameplay, while being Force telekinetic/jump friendly, should have at least allowed partial dismemberments on living enemies, a la Jedi Outcast.
Alec Nichols I think the Force Unleashed is a great premise that was not executed well. There's a lot of stuff in the plot that doesn't add up and there's also a lot of stuff that wasn't fleshed out enough imo.

Know what, nawww let's get meta. Plenty of Jedi have had the will to overcome the dark side. As in Starkiller becoming a Sithlord, and not killing Palpatine in the alternate storyline. Mace Windu being the most promenant in my mind. Starkiller, Vadar, they were poor Jedi, and that's why they fell. Both sides of the force must be in balance, Windu accepted this to a degree, also Plo Koon, in his use of "Electric judgement", and obviously all the old masters in later episodes as Force ghosts. I agree, Starkiller could not have accomplished this feat, but that's simply because of the Jedi rhetoric, that caused the disaster in the aftermath of the clone wars in the first place. My point stands. Jedi let these things happen, due to willful ignorance. Happy? Do you need 5 more pages about it?

I played this when I was younger and somehow I found Darth Vader a more difficult boss than the Emperor, then I replayed the game unlocking more skills and absolutely destroyed both
I played this game so much as a kid that when I replayed it last year on sith master, I beat vader and the emperor without getting hit

Carlos Jiménez remember this is starkiller who is only 17 years old and he was able to defeat the emperor. This is something which 800 year old grandmaster (Yoda) couldn’t do.

Vader was the chosen one while Palpatine was someone who happened to be born with an abnormally strong connection with the Force as was Star Killer. Luke being the offspring of the chosen one was also naturally gifted. Vader=Palpatine, Luke=Star Killer.

I went back and redid all of these levels with only the sith stalker costume that i unlocked from the bad ending/dark side ending. With only a yellow lightsaber color and only a green lightsaber color. Does that make the sith stalker costume outta tact? No. Because I'm sure lord starkiller has collected many lightsabers with blue and green and yellow and red and orange and gold and purple lightsaber kyber crystal colors. During his time after the force unleashed was over. And the dlcs were coming into play. And i think back sometimes that if he went back to fulcia to find marris brood then maybe he might of taken her as his new apprentice either way the emperor would have still been displeased if lord starkiller did the same as vader did when he took galen marek to be his apprentice.
But who do you think would be an apprentice to starkiller and who would be stronger and better?

Who is actually more powerful? I've played this game for years and always thought Starkiller was but Vader is always said to be one of the most powerful force users but I never really hear that about Starkiller. I feel he's underrated.
I'm pretty sure Starkiller is stronger than Vader by a little, since Starkiller was strong in the force and while Vader was in pain in his suit it helped him be stronger in the dark side. But for when they fought, Starkiller must have used some of his hate for Vader to overpower him. So really what I'm saying is Starkiller is a powerful mother fucker. But again who cares when it's not cannon anymore............
(And Vader did get tired in the fight so Starkiller still pretty good good yes)
