I've had mine for about three weeks. A great alternative. Very flexible, I am using it as a preamp with a Cab M+. HM2 clones, the Wampler Triumph or EQD Special Cranker into Gehenna is premium. I am convinced Daniel needs to build amplifiers as well.
I must admit gehennaV2 is my least anticipated new lichtlaerm audio release(cause i almost always use a driven/distorted amp). But yet again daniel managed to create a flexible monster that is able to satisfy many applications.Nice demo dome!
We are trying the same with a Revv g3 in the grindstien loop, and throwing it in front of a clean VOX AC 30 simulation of a DSM Simplifier DLX... The G3 seems to not satisfy the hunger of a modern distortion, would love to try the gehenna out. Do let us know about your progress. Cheers!!!
Daniel nailed this. I'm with you that distortion pedals into clean amps are ofyen underwhelming, but this is very flexible and "amp like" for use of a better term.
That is a sick pedal. I was going to get one but I knew that A.I.B. was going to be releasing the Maw soon so I got that. I'm really excited for the Breathe/Die V.2. I definitely am going to get that when its released and hopefully the Gehenna before its too late.
@@DomeNightbearer lol, naah! It's like this ringing the strings past the nut produce when not taped off but I think you said you have something against that there. It's probably not the cause, I think it's kinda the sound itself... Hard to describe. But nevermind, probably just me 😅
That was smart of them to send you a pedal, because I am sold from this video. Sounded incredible right out of the gate.
Sounds brutal dome

true, but on the other hand it's always nice to have a 2nd distortion channel with this tonal quality by hand 😉
I love mine, fantastic tones, just trying to get a nice balance with it in the grindstein loop. It may be I need to try a few different cab sims

exactly. And with this much tweaking options you don't have to rely this much on your amp's sound quality! Lots of knobs to compensate!
great to see you checking out other videos as well
@@danielringl8501 Dome is my reference for all things grindy!
I'm blushing
Plug this bad ass chuga pedal into the loop on the Medusa and get them both dialed in and blended to your liking, and it's insane.
that high end crackly sound is rather annoying.. sounds pretty good overall.
And the Tweakability Oscar goes to... I`d have this pedal in a bigger casing with all the knobs big and logically layouted. The rest is perfect.
It’s logical if you think about it! Working on a bigger DLX version, tho!

This almost has a synth quality to it. Is the signal clipping before the pedal?
Sounds really really good, tonal options for days! Buuut am I the only one who hears this weird ringing in the background?
Might be sloopy playing on my side?

The Setius didn't have a fret wrap, so it's probably my amateurishness you're hearing 😅
