  • Season 1 Episode 1: "Boardwalk Empire"
"If you like a to eat, you eat. If you don't a like a to eat...HMM?"
    Spoiler
The hilarious dinner scene with the bosses from Chicago, New York, and Atlantic City. I was bummed to see Frank Crudele's character go out in the pilot. I had high hopes that he would have been the funniest guy in the series.
Thanks for watching and do leave a rating!

My only complaint is they didn't give more screen time to Junior's character on this show. He was like in 5-6 episodes. He would have been a great re-occurring Boss through most of the series.

The actor who played Butchie and Johnny Torrio did a great job of adding the perfect amount of nuance to the latter which helped differentiate the two.

You need to read up on how Arnold Rothstein operated. His primary concern was keeping his own hands clean. Plus he was mentoring him and Meyer as well as a few other young former street hoods. He taught them how to dress, how to use fine dining utensils, how to act in classy company. He wanted to refine them and teach them how to treat crime like a business. Some of them, like Dutch Shultz, did turn on him but Lucky was mostly reliable so he took him under his wing.

Clams is as torrio said, just slang for money. "I've decided to give your wife $25" means what it says but in court it means the judge has decided to have the husband pay the wife. Joke is the husband takes it literal and sarcastically says thanks I'll try to send her some money too from time to time, implying the judge will pay her for him.
