These are by far the highest quality, most informative videos on the internet about the enneagram. Thank you for the time you put into these- they are so helpful to me and a few people in my life who I have shared them with.
I agree. Best balanced content on the enneagrams out there. My wife is a 6 and these videos have made me stop and think about how I a communicating with her (as I am an 8). Very helpful!
I have so many moments when you make a point that I hit pause and back away. I’m like how in the world could you be so spot on with even the smallest traits! Thank you! It is helping me grow into a better version of me.
Living with a 6 is hard, because he's an investment 6, and he questions, and distrusts everything. We are a couple that should be working together towards our family goals, however he thinks I'm against him, as if I'm his enemy, and he needs a lot of reassurance and to be appreciated. We have three kids, and buy far he's the one who is high maintenance. It's EXHAUSTING, because I'm a 1 and like learning constantly, researching and I'm super creative, so it's hard to have conversations with someone who's always questioning what you say, no matter what...
Im a 5, dated a 6 and had to break up with him coz he was sooooo distrutful of me. Seeing things that arent there, accusing me of all kinds of crazy things. it was very strange for me. I felt i was under a microscope where he was watching unnecessarily my every move - cant tolerate that. And when we would discuss the issues I would show him evidence contrary to what he thought, and he still found it very hard to acknowledge and take accountability for his "crazy" behaviour. For those reasons i left, its a shame coz i actually think he's a good person but causing stress in a relationship from fake problems and failing to take accountability and apologizing is unacceptable.
This video made me cringe but it's spot on. I came out of an abusive situation where my questions that were needed to be asked were used to gaslight me. Now I'm self aware to step back and observe the data and observe what's truly going on. There's a difference between asking questions and questioning people's motives. For me it's been to trust my inner compass and how my body feels when around people. To pay attention to their actions not words. Self trust is key. Thank you very much
I love your videos! My son is a 6. I love him more than anything, but as a 9 his negativity and millions of questions can be exhausting. Lol!! I would really love and appreciate if you could do a series on how to be a supportive parent to each number. Or if any other 6s that watch this video could respond with ideas of what makes you feel loved and supported that would be great!!!
@@sarahorourke7192 As a six, I feel loved when actions of kindness are done. Shows me you’re on my team. Also feel very loved when I am asked what I’m feeling. Not thinking. Anything that keeps me in the moment. An expressway driving analogy is helpful. 6s see potholes. Being reminded of the many lanes and exit options is helpful.
More like "we are letting you know we are definitely cutting jobs, but we won't tell you when, how, or how many positions we're eliminating. Also here's enough gray area for you to interpret or overanalyze everything"
Solid 6 here and I think a lot of 6 expression has to do with the mbti/introversion/extroversion. Because with the enneagram, it encompasses both intro AND extroverts without distinguishing between them. I find the mbti to be very spot on with personality expression and how you view the world. I find enneagram to be spot on with what MOTIVATES a person; what DRIVES a person (not talking hobbies or interests, that’s totally different). I’m an introvert 6 and I can go a long time without seeing or talking to people. My mom is a social 6 and she DEFINITELY sees relationships as a garden. In fact, she’s a therapist, which frankly exhausts me. As an introvert 6, I don’t want to be a leader bc it’s very exhausting even thinking about telling people what to do all day.
I don't know if this is; did you ever .. are you familiar with the way planets are numbered in alchemy/tarot/astrology and six would be venus-ian energy. Also at 01:36 min you mentioned something and i had to google it; thank you I thinkn I was always a six, which is a female energy but am biologially male... so this is spot on; thanks again
