- This has by far been the best upgrade so far, not to just get the Jeep the clearance for 37s, but to prepare it for the rough roads ahead. This episode is just about the install, so far I am absolutely blown away with the performance, but I will save my praises for future reviews!

Excellent choice. I installed the ICON Stage 8 on my JLU Rubicon Recon 3 weeks ago. I also installed the ICON steering stabilizer. I'm running the Teraflex Nomad wheels with 37" Nittos.

You are building one fantabulous piece of equipment...I can't wait until you have it all built out...Quite a big step up from the Aliner! Good luck with all you are doing and most of all...don't try jumping the Grand Canyon...No one has successfully done it yet!

Rock crawling and sweet jumps in your home on wheels, LMAO!!! Only if you show us a video of the impact it has on the inside of your home on wheels every time you finish, because that will be by far the most important aspect of the total build, and will determine how Down2Mob you can actually be?

I hope your ride with the Icon’s is better than the ride I get in my Tacoma with Icon shocks , The front is so hard it’s like not having suspension at all . And from what I have read on the forums so may people have the Same problem

I put the same wheels on my JL but I went with Cooper STT pro tires 37”. I do need to regear as it hardly ever gets above 6th gear and mpg is way down.

Ronny dahl said the gladiator only has 650 kg of load capacity... So its not a particularly good tourer... Maybe thats the reasons some gladiators broke their frame?
Looks like the payload on this rubicon gladiator is barely over 1000 lbs, do you plan to overload it or run a really small camper?
With the addition of the Pac Rax to your Gladiator, it would appear that you've shifted focus away from a pop up camper. Am I right Phil?

I used to subscribe to ur channel, then I noticed vids of you tearing up the forest with your vehicle. So you must be aware of how popular the forest is getting with boondockers. Many folks are tearing up their sites and leaving trash. So what is the forest service and BLM doing, there closing areas down. So sorry but I can’t support a channel that is encouraging ripping up the forest roads. Your an influencer so I hope you will consider the role modeling you present. Clearly your a nice good hearted man so I am sure you care about keeping dispersed camping sites from getting trashed and closed . Thanks

alright im gonna nitpick here but at 4:39 he says the steering stabilizer stops you from getting "death wobble" but that couldn't be further from the truth, I see a lot of people replacing steering stabilizers with stupid expensive ones thinking it'll cure their death wobble without actually addressing the root causes of death wobble. death wobble is a symptom of bad suspension geometry, bad steering geometry, worn out parts, or unbalanced tires. a steering stabilizer will only mask what you feel through the steering wheel it wont actually stop any death wobble. if your geometry is correct you can leave the steering stabilizer off and the only noticeable difference is the steering feel is less dampened
It changes the resonant frequency, you can get death wobble on a vehicle when all the components are fresh and within specs( it is less likeley). Just like tuning a guitar a steering dampener tunes that frequency. But you should make sure the rest of the suspension is tight a nd aligned to spec.
@@charlesboetel1324 I dont think so, all it does is dampen what you feel through the steering wheel because its connected to either your tierod or drag link. the movement is still there and its still going to prematurely wear your components you just wont feel it as much in the steering wheel
Your sound on this sucks, you get blasted out then can't hear. Learn how to balance it out some. Looks like it will be a nice jeep if you can keep from bending the frame.
