What planet you visiting first? I bet you have most/all of the tech you can research on Nauvis (minus steel productivity) so it would make going wherever a lot more painless!
I played factorio before, the most advancment i got was launching 3 rockets a couple of years ago, whenevr i tried getting back to the game, i will get stuck early game, overthinking the ratios. I gave 2.0 a try and I LOVE it. the game feels so much easier without losing any fun, I still plan setups and such but its much easier. for example, it was so easy to find out i needed 48 ovens for a full belt. normalizing everything to seconds made so much sense. cuz then i know, this one recipe for example, needs 0.1 gears, so i know 1 gear building can support 10 of the other recipe. I am hooked up again ahah
The Galaxy of Fame is a cool idea, I just wonder how big the view will get. It already has a bunch of stars, so in a year or two imagine how crowded it could be.
6:40 I mean, it is very well known the switch is basically a fancy paperweight. One should consider it lucky to even have a game ported there let alone run.
Still working on Nauvis, slow but sure ... so excited to continue playing and get to space! I really like the Galaxy of Fame and will eventually get that far.
DLC or not DLC. I bought this game in 2014 and the fact today we got an incredible 2.0 making the game absolutely more pleasant to play for free is just incredible. Thanks Wube software for this amazing game
Factorio was hardly the first. they go back to the 90s. Factorio is able to use modern hardware and even with that it's pretty amazing the size of the factories you can make. Personally I think it's the best game in the genre, just not the first.
Now I wanna see a glourious galaxy map comparable to Dyson Sphere Program, it will be a nice technical challenege for the factorio team to make it look beautiful and functional at the same time. Dyson sphere program had a similar galaxy leader border as well and it's built-in, minus the map details. It's also more grougeous b/c of 3d rendering and amount of stars (players) in the map.
It took me until just after researching logistics science to completely give up on gunning for the achievement to kill my first biter spawner using artillery. Factory oh space age is amazing. I booted it up for the first time and in less than a minute I decided that the whole game felt like Version two. Very very impressive.
@@americankid7782 It works really well! But the only thing i have is a base on nauvis and a space plataform so lets see how it runs with more bases on more planets

It is unfortunate that SA isn’t coming to the Switch. If the next gen console (Switch 2?) is far more powerful (which I doubt) then maybe we will get SA on it.
No it's full of people who have completed it since the feature released, Xterminator even pointed out that he isn't on there because the option wasn't available when he completed the game.
Now we're waiting for the next dlc: Factorio: Interstellar Age
That's probably what Earendel is cooking with SE.

I'm 40 hours in an haven't left Nauvis. Having too much fun with the new QOL stuff. I'm glad so many others are enjoying it.

Hopefully by 2029 we'll be playing their next game... A RPG
I already plan my factory when I have time, next spring. I got a new desktop for this.

It may not be the first, but it did greatly popularize the factory game genre.
Dark souls wasn't the first either but still defined the genre. Factorio-like just doesn't roll off the tongue like factory builder.

Switch players: Thank you for Factorio Switch edition!
Also Switch players: WHY!? WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO US!?
Simple answer: their factories didn't grow fast enough.
Only thing I have done in the editor for my game was give myself some construction bots it’s my concession cos I had to my first new map in 3 years
I liked the video but as a audio only watcher. Either swallow quieter or adjust your noise gate. PLEASE!
"spaceship brick" sounds so wrong
Ever tried flying the space shuttle?
They just financed their RPG. They pocketed more than $20 000 000.
