Found you today on You Tube and immediately subscribed. I'm entered into this year's GNR and I'm from North Carolina. Trying to learn as much as I can about the race and the area. Huge Sunderland supporter and lover of the North of England all round. Can't wait to tick this off my bucket list. Cheers
Hi Kevin 👋🏻 thanks for subscribing, we’re so glad you found us! We’re both doing the GNR this year too, so hopefully we’ll see you there 💙 There’s always lots of our content in Sunderland and lovely to hear you follow the best team 🔴⚪️ Enjoy the videos and keep on running! 🏃🏼♀️ 🏃🏼♂️
Running the GNR this year was great for the participants as the lightish rain made me feel like I could push the pace. You two look like you felt the same, but I was a bit torn with playing with the crowds and smashing out a super quick time. I crossed the line at a bit over 1:50 yet I gave a tonne high fives to kids standing out I the rain to cheer us on. For me the GNR is an absolute winner of an event the atmosphere is wild and it highlights to the world how friendly people in the north east can be. I might be back next year running for a charity again - yet that's just an excuse as I always (regardless of the aches and pains) have a fabulous time. Well done you two...
Excellent time - huuuge well done! Especially if you were high-fiving all the kids too 🙌🏻 great effort! Totally agree, it’s the highlight of the running calendar, a great race all round! 🙌🏻
@@those2runners Didn't high five them all but quite a lot in the first 10k. After I reached the final incline at mile 11ish I was very much focused on reaching the end. Clocked 7:11 last mile, daughter thought the live tracker was broken.
Albeit briefly, it was lovely to meet you both in the pub (my wife Vanessa and I were a little star struck!) - we enjoyed it but last year we felt the sun brought the crowds out a lot more (understandable) - we will be back next year for yet another crack at it, the greatest half in the world! Well done to you both, you both smashed it in challenging conditions. What a race to get a PB at!!!!!
Aw thank you Gary! It was so so lovely to meet you and Vanessa - we hope you both had an enjoyable race! Thank you so much, it’s always a nice feeling to PB but the GNR is a pretty special place to do it 🙌🏻☺️
I was amazed at the sheer volume of people finishing at the same time. I am used to half marathon races of around 400 to 4500 competitors. This was like running in traffic. 😂 well done both on a great run.
Well done to you both! 2nd year for me. Managed to run the whole thing this year too, with no walking, and that was my goal. I got a bit emotional too 😂
Well done both of you. I have only recently started watching your videos but it was good to see you at the meet up. Great video, nice to relive the Great North Run.
Very Well done! Great times! I ran my first great north run this year and loved it even if I did have to stand around getting soaked! Also managed to knock five minutes off my half marathon time too!
Great times there, I commented on your video from last year I think it was saying I’d never do it again. Guess who was there this year in fancy dress running… This year was much better than last year though and I actually enjoyed it.
I was dressed as Emma Wiggle, from the Australian tv kids group the Wiggles. My Daughter has Congenital Myotonic Dystrophy so dressed as her favourite tv character, as I was running for a charity that raises money for families affected. Whenever I’m asked what I ran as I always feel like I need to give context as nobody had a clue what I was dressed as.
Well done - glad that you were both happy! It was my second GNR this year; beat my previous time by about 11 minutes. Had some difficulties in the crowd before and after the race; will be better prepared next time.
Congratulations Chris 🏃🏃 Kayleigh You both continue to inspire us to keep on running! I well and truly enjoyed my 1st GNR and it is the highlight of my running journey so far.The experience and support was amazzzing 😍🤩

Great running both that race looked incredible, I think Kayleigh needs to give Chris some PB bell-hitting lessons, absolutely appalling effort 🤣🤣
Hahahaha! I’m glad you both agree! What a shocking effort 🤣🤣🤣

Amazing effort ☺️👏 massive well done! 😃
Spotted myself in your video, about ten minutes in! 👋
Aw that’s great! Hi 👋🏻 haha ☺️
@@those2runners I did it in 1:30:43, so exactly ten seconds difference, we must’ve been running together the entire time!
@@madeleinesnow7378 that’s ace! Great time 👏
Well done both. I absolutely loved this years run. Atmosphere was class!!
Well done to you too Kris! And totally agreed about the atmosphere - the rain couldn’t even stop them coming out 🙌🏻
Buzzing for both of you. Both trained brilliantly and got the rewards. Very well done 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Aw cheers Andy! Much appreciated! 😄
Top running both of you 👍
Thanks Ian! 😃

Aw you’re very welcome! Thanks so much for the kind words! 🙌🏻
great video! I found out earlier that I've been successful in the ballot for 2025!
Aw yes! Excellent news Matt 🙌🏻 we’re in, so we’ll hopefully see you there! ☺️

Excellent Adrian! Well done on a fabulous race! 👏
I predicted 1:34 & 1:47 so not bad 😀
Ah nice one Alastair! Good guessing! 👏
Hopefully everyone is looking forward to their rejection email on Wednesday :P
😅 we took the membership Kev so we’re already in for the next two years! Definitely worth it if you want to bypass the ballot stress 🙌🏻
@@those2runners not a bad idea, however Im kind of glad I got rejected (already) from the 2025 ballot - the prices are ridiculous!!
