We just bought the 2021 limited ascent and we LOVE it! SO many great features weren’t mentioned, like when you have the AVH on you can press the break firmly and it will hold the car so you don’t have to press the break when sitting in traffic. Also when you have cruise/steering on it will steer for you (you do have to keep your hands on the wheel every 15 seconds) and when using that it will break for you. The option to have the Subaru app and start your car from ANYWHERE in the world as well as adjust your temps and warm seats. Also the wifi option(starlink is an add on when you buy the car and wife is only $20 a month through at&t) also the stereo is way better than he showed. The limited comes with carpeted and rubber floor mats and the starlink is also great in traffic for alerts. We have the captains chairs with large teens and they are super comfortable. It probably has way more but these are the important things I could think of. Very comfortable and luxury vehicle. Unfortunately the prices now are different because of adjusted market value, so we paid 50k for the limited. This vehicle is amazing to drive and the road noise is almost impossible to hear.
I have been looking into buying a 2022 Subaru Ascent Onyx Edition. I think it looks good and has a lot of comfort. *Toyota lacks this so I chose Subaru!* But thank you for this upload! Great demo of the Subaru!
@@killersushi99 I just bought the 2021 Ascent Touring. I was honestly hesitant about going with a 4-cylinder, but because of the turbo there are no issues. I drive on the highway for my work commute every day, and it goes when you hit the gas. I went from a high horsepower Dodge Durango to the Ascent, and have no regret.
They should make blind spot monitor and rear cross traffic alert standard instead of power tailgate standard. Because honestly, safety is more important than a convenient feature. Also, hopefully when it gets refreshed, it also gets hands free power tailgate, the same one on the new Outback.
Thanks for the review. I have watched a few and test drove one. Great review. Off road test would be nice to add. Like that you showed a bench version as this is our dilemma. But with dogs and only an occasional use of the 3rd row, this is the one. The seats are very firm. More than the Kia or Highlander. So definitely need to check that out. I did not know about the mirror in the sunglass case! So thanks for that.Test drove the Kia and this has a much sportier feel and better agility. The Kia is also being marked up by 5-10k. I have a Forester with turbo, so for us this is the way to go. All in all the best youtube review so far.
Appreciate the review. The Subaru Ascent is on the top of my list, next to the Hyundai Palisade (hate the single exhaust). I need something that will last me 10 years and not be dated after just a few years. I think if Subaru put the infotainment from the new Outback in the Ascent (at least bigger display) with a digital display for the driver, i think they'd nail it. In regards to digital displays, you have to go big or go home!
Do all black 8 passenger limited ones come with that bright interior color? There is one black coming this month I'm hesitating to reserve that since I live in very hot city
wtf... Now Im gonna have to change to something with a good car system with better bass? Only because this one does not have good Bass? Now which one you suggest?
They loaned him the vehicle, he is allowed to only drive it, test it, and review it. Not off road it, only if your a sales person of the dealership you can.
No wait 3-4 years and come back with your great KIA Telluride review, but don’t forget to mention how much oil leak it will have.... Dude Kia engines aren’t reliable at all.
Turn off the lane keep assist. The button is on your steering wheel. It's trying to keep you centered in the lane. That's causing the sensation your feeling.
Right engine, wrong vehicle. Why can't I get this 2.4T in something other than a minivan substitute. Seems like it should be in the Forester, BRZ (yes, aware it comes in the Outback and Legacy and no interest in either of these as well).
@@killersushi99 Somehow these days Subaru does not want to create an SUV for an enthusiast. Maybe it does not fit their current image. Pity, as a Forester or Crosstrek STI would sell.
They need to make the cvt more robust to handle the spirited driving that you seek with the updated engine in the smaller vehicles, but the low end torque would just obliterate the clutch or transmission. I’m sure they’ve done the math and have done the necessary stress and load testing.
@@TheNuclearBolton Time will tell. Not sure Subaru has any interest in the enthusiasts market. They are selling enough, so I don't think they care to do anything different.
Two years ago today! Planning to buy one.
Thanks for re-kindling my interest in the Ascent. I will be buying soon and definitely will consider the Ascent Limited.
@Benjamin Mathew I would love the touring but it’s only standard 7 seats, I need 8 sadly so limited I’ll go for.
Should have mentioned you can add the sunroof and better sound system package on The Limited. It's great😊
I pick up my Limited next week!! I'm so excited.
My 2020 is running fine. Drove it on the beach in X-Mode. Lots of fun for a family hauler.
You have an Instagram for your lovely ascent ?
My 2020 ascent limited 8 seater was a lemon 🍋. Subaru replaced it with a 2021 ascent limited 8 seater
I pick mine up tomorrow ( Touring ) .
I'm so exited !

Also can you do a tutorial on how to link my garage door to my car??

Thank you for the review. That just solidified my decision to get an Ascent.
I just got the 2021 ascent limited 8 passenger white exterior black interior. I’m in love😍
I'm in the market but was wondering if you feel like the 2.4T is enough engine for the ascents weight? Is the throttle sensitive enough?

That was what we got, but 7 passenger. So amazing
that standard Compact Disc player is sick thanks Subaru.

Waiting for this bad boy to debut in our country.

It will eventually happen, just wait a year or two. I really want them to perfect the CVT and add an option to disable the gear shifting simulation.
I want this car right now I have a 2021 rav4 le AWD

❤️ it.....nice review, as always
Not 1st. 3rd is ok. Ascent is a good SUV. Symmetrical AWD is the best! .
Nice job! Thank you
You didn't show the led cargo lighting. My 2020 ascent limited didn't have led cargo lighting. Is it an update for 2021?
Do a review of the Sierra
wtf... Now Im gonna have to change to something with a good car system with better bass? Only because this one does not have good Bass?

I upgraded my sound system in my Limited. I'd fantastic.
The sound system in my limited is amazing!
Why on Earth would you not test it off-road ??
Because a dealership him the vehicle.
They loaned him the vehicle, he is allowed to only drive it, test it, and review it. Not off road it, only if your a sales person of the dealership you can.
Do they have wireless charging???
Yes they do
Good hiding Josephine gots me covered lol knew police could’ve showed up after absence for sometime and no i ain’t ganna hand over 20 bucks
Plz do a 2020 or2021 Ford expedition
This review has convinced me. Go with the KIA telluride which blows Subaru out of any potential completion.
KIA the K-Mart of cars
No wait 3-4 years and come back with your great KIA Telluride review, but don’t forget to mention how much oil leak it will have.... Dude Kia engines aren’t reliable at all.
yes but now a 5-10K markup in price which was a no go for us. At that price I would look at a luxury model.
Needs a V6
Why does my 2020 accent feel like it sliding to the left and right periodically?
Turn off the lane keep assist. The button is on your steering wheel. It's trying to keep you centered in the lane. That's causing the sensation your feeling.
This vs. a Mazda CX5 or 9?
Ascent much bigger.
It would be around a traverse, pilot, & highlander.
If Mazda CX-9 would be Atlas definitely and serrento
I did a test drive cx9, I'm 6 ft, my head was touching roof, 3rd row is only 2 passengers. Acceleration was too slow for me
Hey bro you should trade your mustang in for a Shelby gt350r
Can you next time slow when you talk its so much fast

This motor in a Forester would be a rocket. I have a 2014 XT and its a blast.

Funny how you didn’t mention that annoying seatbelt chime. Saw it on another review. Yea I’ll pass..
Most cars have that. BMW, Honda, Hyundai, etc. Might even be required by law at this point
Haha! Just wear your seatbelt 🤷🏽♀️
Hey Subaru google an American company?
No, 40% owned by Toyota
2021??? It is very old car. Very old fashion.
