Can I install the Unit update and the active target at the same time? Like putting both updates on my SD card and updating both simultaneously.
You can put both updates on the same card at the same time. Run the HDS update first by simply turning on your HDS after inserting the card. When it is done, then manually install the AT update.
Hi, I am trying to enable color palette 7 or 8 that came with 23.3. It says they are in the panels. Not quite sure how to do it from the panels and what they mean. I see palettes1 to 6 in the modes menu. You think you could explain it here. I have AT2, the 23.3 for AT1 says the same thing about 7 and and the panels
Are you certain you updated your HDS unit to 23.3 ( not just the AT2 unit)? The palettes are in the HDS update, and once updated, they should show along with the previous palettes.
Thank you Mark. I only did the AT2 update. I have two stacked HDS 9 lives linked to xi5. After reading about losing on screen autopilot funcionality with 23.3 by some people I'll hold on with the update until its sorted out. My friend's carbon auto updated to 23.3 and his controls from trolling panel are now dead.
23.3 seems to not work well for AT1, much harder to see my bait. have you tried it yet for your AT2?
I have not yet as I have been traveling. Won't be back home until next week. Have you tried a hard reset? Save your waypoints first and perform a hard reset. Then make sure your transducer is level. I have a previous video showing how to level your AT transducer.

@@jonasnorlund2500 Jonas 23.3 is not working on my HDS Live unit. Do you have a copy of 22.1 since I no longer have the previous version after installing 23.3?

Hello Mark. Is the Active Target 1 module compatible with the Active Target 2 transducer.? I recently installed an HDS Pro 16 unit and Active Target 2 transducer but I kept the old AT 1 module. Will it work or do I need to buy the AT 2 module. (Black box)?
I have heard it will work, but not well. You need to get the AT 2 module for your AT2 unit. If you have a complete AT2 and complete AT1, your Pro will NOT work to synchronize the two AT units or display them on the dual views. For Dual views you need AT2 and Pro units.
A while back I pinched my at2 cable and tried fixing it, didn't work or I thought, so I bought a new 1100 dollar replacement transducer and plugged it in tested it out didn't work, looked exactly the same. I'm not getting a no source, I just don't get like a return of the bottom or something, I mean it looks the same as it does out of the water as it does in. Also thought I needed to update my unit to 23.3 so I went home did the update went back to the lake and same thing happened

A picture (screenshot) of what you are seeing would help. Also a photo showing how your transducer is mounted.
In the mean time try going to settings, sonar, active target installation, restore defaults.
Did you install 23.3 on both your HDS unit and your AT2 box? If not, do so. Make sure your ethernet cables are good.
@@marcmarcantoniohey Mark I purchased a pro and active target yesterday. Everything worked good and then AT froze and then unfroze. This kept repeating. I could switch to sonar and then back to AT and it would work for a bit but freeze again. Checked the updates AT is 23.3, 12 pro is 23.2, could that be the issue?
This was all professionally installed. But they were closed over the weekend. Going to call them first thing Monday
@@tylersims3527 Yes, make sure you are running the latest updates on all units, and then follow my videos on saving waypoints and then follow my video on performing a hard reset. That will fix your freezing issue.
Hey Marc, I do this and still keeps saying that there is an update available when I go back into system and check for updates. It will also do it after I power up the unit every time.
(You are not alone). This has been happening, and a fix will be coming out in the next software update.
@@marcmarcantonio thanks, I’m also having issues with the imagine freezing on the lake and having to restart it.
@anelkljajic2065 Do you have AT1? If so you need to roll the software back to 22.1 to stop the freezing. If you have AT2 and have freezing, you need to be on the newer version of 23.3 (there are two versions) and then do a hard reset per my TH-cam video.

Hey Mark. When I go to upgrade the active target software it isn’t showing a device to select and then upgrade. If I try to press upgrade it doesn’t do anything either. Thank you.
Make sure you are using a 32 gig or smaller card, formatted to FAT32. Download the update onto the card again and follow the steps in my video. Be sure your AT box lights are all working before starting the update.
I am using 32 gig how do I format to fat 32? Also how do I know if the lights are working on the at box or not?
@coleshelton With the card in your computer right click on it's icon, and choose Format, Type FAT32. Then add the update software to the card. When you turn on the power to your AT box its power light flashes between amber and green. It takes a while for it to warm up so wait until you see the light flashing before updating. Watch my videos on installing AT and updating it.
Hey Marc, you have helped me out over the years and I have one question about getting old software updates from Lowrance. I have a HDS Live 12 with an AT1. Was there a software update for the AT1 after 22.1-65.1.14-Standard-1.riw (Perhaps AT 22.1.1-65.1.18-Standard-1.riw)? If so, where can I get a copy of the .18? I may need it if the 23.3 doesn't work. I have the factory installed 65.1.37 and once you load the 23.3, you can't go back to ANY previous version and Lowrance doesn't have any copies of the .37.
I have not kept the old update files, but if you post in the Lowrance forum on Bass Boat Central web site you will find people who have copies of all past updates.
.18 was only for the live unit. AT1 had ActiveTarget-22.1-65.1.14-Standard-1.riw
