I'm single at the moment and I'm working. I noticed my health and overall wellbeing were much better when I was a keeper at home. I had the chance to stay at home during the summer and it was amazing! I cooked at home, went for daily walks in the park and had more time to read my Bible. The moment I stepped back into the workforce my diet became awful and I was constantly tired. I'm praying for a way out. I'm trusting God to make a way 🙏🏽 Thank you Lori xx

    Hi, Lori!
First of all, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and I wish you and your family a happy 2024!🤗🙏
You and other godly women, were the ones that God used to open my eyes to what His Word said about women and their place in society and I have never been so at peace and fulfilled, since I quit the work force and became a stay at home wife.
I can take care of our house, clean, cook, bake, have more time for my husband and he tells me many times that he loves it that I now have the time to be with him, instead of running all day and come home late at night, exausted. I even had time today to make Scotsh Eggs for my husband to snack, when he comes back from work, later on!😁
It isn't something that women do these days in Portugal, at least, unfortunatelly: be at home wives or mothers, because it is so engrained in our minds that we have to do something or "be useful" to our society... and yet, we never saw so many divorces, so many children without a Father while they grow up and so much discontentment.
Since I came home, I have grown spiritually, too, because I now have time to read my Bible and christian books and learn more about how to become more feminine.
About the Proverbs 31 woman, I agree with you on everything and the maids part, I relate to our appliances today. They wash our clothes (washing machine), our dishes (dishwasher), they take care of our food (refrigerator and stove/oven), so the portion we can give them in today's terms is, I believe, taking good care of them, so they continue to work fine and we don't need to spend money on new ones!😉 Do you agree?
Have a blessed 2024 and please, keep teaching us these thruths!🙏❤

Yes, I do agree! We should definitely take care of our things so they will last as long as possible.

So good, Lori. My husband said to someone, "My wife would live in a tent before she would have gone back to work after the children were born." I am so grateful he didn't ask me to go back to work. I too was a teacher before the children was born.

I'm glad for you! I'm a teacher, too, and I'd rather be home with my kids. I was home during the last seven years, but started working again this summer, since money got short due to inflation. Also, my husband wanted to me to go back to work. He was raised with the idea that women should have a job. (Although he enjoyed the benefits of me being home.) I pray God will give me the chance to stay home again before my children are grown.

Lori, I prayed for you at the completion of this study that God would continue to bless you and to keep your resolve to spread the truth. As someone who grew up in a Christian home but did not learn about Biblical womanhood, I sincerely thank you. God bless you!

Unfortunately even yarn and material for sewing is so expensive to get to sew. They do not have cloths patterns anymore either . thrifting this stuff helps to. As a wife and help meet. I am the one in this area to look to weigh out and look at pricing in this area and stuff before buying It helps to know what your paying for things and is it worth it vs finding another way.

I don’t have a rigid schedule. I just clean as I go. I don’t like clutter at all! My home is decorated simply with not a lot of stuff. It’s very child-proof! 😅 If I see something that needs cleaning, I do it…maybe not the windows. They can wait. I try to keep my kitchen as clean as possible. My youngest daughter has six little ones and the oldest girls help her clean the kitchen and family room every night after dinner!

    • @j.p.5716
      @j.p.5716 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

First of all, stop using the fact that you were not "taught" as an excuse. Cleaning is not rocket science. It is very straight forward. Look around and see what heeds to be done and just do it. Pick the most important task and don't stop until it's done. Then go to the next most important task and do it. Work hard. Get up early and work hard all day long. Create a written list if you need to. It does not have to be created all at one time, let it be a running list and add to it as you notice things.
Stop telling yourself you need breaks and free time and self time and me time and all of that nonsense. Read Proverbs 31 and see how hard that woman worked. Pray the God will give you the strength you need but strength and stamina is something that comes with doing. The biggest battle that most women face is not tasks themselves, it's their own mind and poor thinking, causing poor feelings.
Organize major tasks by day. Vacuum and dust the house on Monday. Give the bathrooms a good cleaning on Tuesday. Change the sheets on the beds and wash clothes on Wednesdays. If you go to ladies bible study on Thursday, use that day that you are already out of the house to go to the store and do the grocery shopping for the week. Mow the grass on Fridays.
Always keep the kitchen clean. After breakfast, clean it up. After lunch, clean it back up. After dinner, clean it back up. Never get behind.
As you walk around the house, if you see something out of place, put it where it goes.
Every night before bed, clean the kids rooms up. When they get older, teach them to clean it up before they go to bed.
The more you do this stuff, the easier it becomes.
As the girls get older, teach them to clean the bathrooms and help cook and clean the kitchen. Teach the boys to do the outside work. Girls can (and should) do outside work also. I (a man) was mowing the yard at 5 years old but since there was only my brother and I, we both learned to cook and clean also.
Taking care of a home is really not that difficult. It is work and it can be tiring but all work is. Just get over your poor thinking and get the job done.

I’m a registered nurse with a toddler at home and it’s definitely a marathon! I work nights so I can care for my home and kid during the day but by the time I get off at 730 am I’m exhausted. I get about 5 hours of sleep then it’s back to full time home keeping. It’s my daily prayer for God to channel my husband heart and make the decision to allow me to home make full time.

I am 39. Got married 3 years ago. Last year God started calling me to be a house wife . We only have one income now . We live in a small apartment but we are content .It was very hard to accept this without a guilt or feeling like worthless woman. Everyone around is working. Than I got sick and needed a lot of rest for almost a year and it that time God started transforming my mind. Being home is fulfilling me more than anything it give me the time to serve my husband with gladness , my community and volunteer in places and church. And care for people around me. I prayed since I got married for God to make me the woman he wants me to be. A few weeks ago I started battling should I find a job and praying and recently came across this channel . I believe God is encouraging me to stay in my path. Please pray I will not allow the other voices to take me away from God will to feel insecure that people may think I am lazy or have no ambition because I don’t work for money. My heart is drown towards the fruit of the biblical woman not what the World commands.

People always list the exceptions. God's high calling for most women is to be wives and mothers. Even when I was a little girl I knew I was going to have a hard time working a job. Then I entered the workforce and have hated all but one job. The work of the home is enjoyable and the stress is doable.

How about all the women that worked in the bible can we be like them? do we not want to follow those women in the bible that God gave the desire to have a career. Psalms 31 was a remote worker. How about the Hebrew midwives that worked, or lydia that worked as well. can we not be like these wonderful women. Why did God give women the skills to work such as doctors, lawyers, engineers and many other areas if he didnt want us to use them. i know many women who can make so much change in the world by working and keepers of the home. Its pretty easy to cook and clean the house. from what we read online you and your husband could use some help to make a happy and healthy home.

Today a woman could buy a piece of property and plant a garden on it in order to benefit her family. Today a woman could also gather materials and work with her hands in order to benefit her family (prepare food and make clothing). This is not working outside the home and being under the authority of a boss like most women live today. When a woman has children she is mostly at home because she has children and must take them with her in order to leave the house. It's just not convenient to be all over the place. She can choose, as many do, to just give them to a babysitter, in which case, she is leaving her first job in order to pursue something else.

Please pray for a wife I know. She is struggling with bitterness. Her husband made her work full time and pay almost half the bills. He was always able to provide for her. The kids grew up and he always insisted she worked. Well, she recently found out her husband came into an inheritance large enough for them both to retire home. But he hid it from her. He is still hiding it and lying about it. His greed and love for money is insisting they both continue to work full time until they are of retirement age. In all the years she had to work full time she developed several autoimmune disorders. She went to work sick at times in order to make sure the bills in her name would get paid because he won't pay them. Pray that even though her husband will not tell the truth or be accountable or submit to the God he claims he believes in that she will forgive him and love him and walk in love and kindness.
