I can understand why he was mad asf. I mean they tried replacing his depiction of blade with Ryan and the other girl but it backfired really hard. Also the script was bad and they ended up trying to blame the failure of this movie on him when it wasn’t really like that at all. Michael Jai White talks about this and he basically gives the rundown on what happened during the filming of all that. Hollywood will try to bury you if you don’t conform to they’re liking. (I dont even remember posting this but neat)

He did have some disagreements about certain things, as a producer, but instead of handling it professionally, he basically tried to sabotage the movie and tried to make the making of the movie as unpleasant as possible. It wasn't Hollywood that even revealed that, or most of the cast. Patton Oswalt and some others on the set eventually revealed what went on. They had to literally edit him into a scene at times, because he wouldn't come out of his trailer at times. The movie still came out good, despite the obvious discomfort he tried to make in it. But it was mainly from the other cast that made it good. I agree that by that time, no one was really interested in seeing someone else play Blade, and I never watched the TV series, or whatever they made from it. And I wouldn't have continued to watch the Blade franchise if Ryan Reynolds and others continued with their characters. And I liked his character as well as the others. But David Goyer and the other cast were not responsible for any of the future decisions of the franchise. But Wesley suffered a big career spike, when he went to prison for tax evasion. As well as it eventually coming out how difficult he was on the set of Trinity. Michael Jai White is great to teach martial arts, but he also likes to express his opinion on subjects he doesn't actually know about. Like the history of the Shaolin Temple. Or that he could beat Bruce Lee in a fight. With that smug look he gets on his face when he is so sure he is right. He may be friends with Wesley, so he only knew his perspective. And he could have just refused to make the movie until the disagreements were resolved. I don't think he was contractually bound to make a third movie. Or he could have just made it, got into it, not made the set difficult, and went on with his career, but he went to prison. David Goyer wrote all 3 scripts. And they were all good. There have been sets where the director was an asshole, like Tombstone, where the actors had to take over directing themselves, but David Goyer was pretty much the nicest guy and a good director, but Wesley didn't want him to direct the movie. So he acted like an asshole to try and perhaps Make David quit. That is an incredible thing that he dealt with it, despite that being his second directing of a film.
