  • In today's video, I'm inviting you to join me in a journey of spring wardrobe decluttering. As someone that's still such a newb with minimalism, slow living, and living intentionally, I know firsthand that letting go is not easy. But it's a crucial step towards embracing essentialism and simplifying our lives.
In this honest decluttering session, I'll be sharing my personal struggles and triumphs as I sift through my wardrobe, letting go of pieces that no longer serve me. From sentimental favorites to impulse buys, every item holds a story, and parting ways can be a bittersweet experience.
Through this process, we'll explore the transformative power of minimalism and the beauty of living with intentionality. I'm trying to cultivate a wardrobe that reflects my true self and supports a lifestyle of simplicity and mindfulness. I hope that this will inspire you to do the same.
Join me in embracing the mantra: Less is more. Together, let's embark on this journey towards a clutter-free, intentional life.
If you're ready to declutter your wardrobe and embrace the principles of minimalism and slow living, hit that play button and let's declutter our wardrobes together!

Are you feeling the spring cleaning/decluttering/ fresh start vibes as well? This video kicked it off for me, or so I thought. I still need to start the actual cleaning of our apartment. I'll get reinspired for sure, maybe tomorrow ☆*: .。. o(≧▽≦)o .。.:*☆

I couldn't agree more with the "just in case". I feel like we shouldn't be throwing away things that fit well and look good just because we haven't had the opportunity to wear them as often as other things - especially not in this economy! Important to stay realistic!
    Great video!! Subscribed :-)

Thanks for the sub!! yeah, even if it's not completely in line with the strict decluttering protocols, I'll keep my just in cases. I think also, something I didn't mention in the video, it depends on the size of your storage space. I have quite a bit of space and it isn't overflowing so I have the room

Love how fast paced and matter a fact you are with your decisions. Hi from Quebec

Hi Victoria! I feel like it's better to just get it over with when deciding to keep something or not. But as you could see, some items did need some more thought. Thanks for tuning in from Quebec!

Hi Lucinda! This is the first video of yours that I’ve seen. Loved watching it, you have a new subscriber!
I’m currently decluttering in preparation to move into a tiny house on some land I bought which is why I stumbled across your video.
Of course- go at your own pace! Decluttering is not a race. I’m not into decluttering just for the sake of decluttering. I do keep some “just in case” items.
But I will say one question that helped ease a lot of the anxiety of getting rid of items and regretting it later is this- “if I didn’t have this, what would I use instead?”
Like the interview top for instance. If I had another top that I’d be totally fine wearing to interviews, then maybe I can be more confident in getting rid of it. If I don’t, then I keep it!
I have 3 fancier dresses that are more formal, along with two pairs of heels but I almost never need to wear them. So I put them in a bin at the top of my closet. They’re still there but not taking up a bunch of space in my closet, and I agreed with myself that I would not purchase any more fancy dresses unless I needed something really specific for a particular occasion (like a bridesmaid dress would be ok but a regular semiformal dress wouldn’t be.)
Anyways, looking forward to seeing more of your videos!

Thank you so much for subbing and welcome! I really love: "If I didn't have this, what would i use instead?" It really does go into really making the best use out of what you already have while still keeping an open mind to reducing the amount of things you have. Thanks for that insight!

Great job. You ever think of hanging the suit pants and jacket in the same hanger? That way theyre always together and saves space.

Thank you and thanks for watching! I had it that way. However living in South FL I very often wear the pants and not the jacket so it just became easier to have them on a separate hangar.

I recently went through my t-shirts and dresses which was relatively easy, but I don’t think I could do it again with the rest of my clothes as I just wanna keep everything, it’s too difficult.

Keep what you want to keep! At this point I don't think I want to get rid of more either for the foreseeable future. From here I am going to go with "one in, one out" strategy to not expand the wardrobe.
