The reason these analog horror work so well is because of the first person perspective. It may work on little short vignettes but may not on a feature length film.

This is why post TLW-JP3 is my favorite Jurassic. Or even TLW Trespasser style - I like the darker, more tense Jurassic. It's still beautiful, but it's deadlier and more brutal without the whole 'no guns' or military hybrids. Felt more dangerous and more mysterious, high tech but not as 'clean' as World era tech. I find the aesthetic of the lower-fi, more primal Jurassic just more compelling than a lot of what World tried doing. I don't hate World era, but for all the 'more teeth' business it kinda felt more toothless.
That was awesome and can see being cannon. Or a post fallen kingdom version similar to what dino tracker was doing but run in like the animal planet series lost tapes.
Awesome. I would love a scary found footage Jurassic movie. My favorite scary found footage film is Frankenstein’s Army(2013). The practical effects are beautiful and are a majority of the effects in the film.
I think that they do want to do something like this with the franchise but they’re being forced by Universal to not do it in order to satisfy the new audience. They can easily make a live action show where we see Wu creating the Spinosaurus. Obviously bringing the original characters back. Or make a story in jwe3 where we see what really happened between 1993-2001 behind the scenes. So many plot holes that need to be filled to finally honor Michael Chrichton himself
I've seen this too as well and want even more context of lost tapes highly recommend checking out animal planets lost tapes it has 3 seasons lasted from 2008 to 2010 and highly recommend checking out some of the reviews on this underrated series that I grew up watching while I was still in highschool of which graduated in 2012... I think the Spinosaurus defeating the T-rex is inaccurate, but for the plot of JP3, I think it's a good thing that the Spino won. For two movies, the T-rex has been this big apex predator, so for a new huge dinosaur to come along and kill the T-rex so easily really makes the Spino a really threatening antagonist.
Like think your'e plane crashed and you'r the only Survivor Andrew walking at night and then a dinosaur attacks you And the vhs tapes feel so real which is why i think there so scary

If it were in the official movie canon it would be right after lost world but before JP3 considering 1 the introduction text talks about the lost world incident 2 the biggest give away the T rex is still alive here fighing the spino So yeah a interquel.
