25 August 2023 was a good day for railfanning in Hamilton, Ohio! We got to see several mixed freight trains which allowed us to see a variety of freight cars. That GREX train is an interesting piece of maintenance of way equipment. Georgetown Rail Equipment. I think that I have seen a video of either this piece of equipment or a similar piece of equipment in action. As of December 2020, Georgetown Rail Equipment is part of Loram Technologies, Inc. With great full thanks for great videos Mr Cool! I do like the big GEs working hard, we have the Class 70s over here in the UK but I don’t see them very often. Hence why I find your videos so entertaining.
I used to work in a cut shop. We would make parts out of them big steel rolls after they were flattened out and turned into steel plates. The point is it doesn't really matter if they rusted or not because when they go into the press, they're rolled back out into plates. They are heated up to several hundred degrees and all the rust will disappear.
I’ve never been an auto rack train before, I live in VA on the RF&P and we never get auto rack cars here because there too tall. But my new car is getting shipped by train here by NS
