I love reading the comments under these everyone’s talking about their sick pulls and I get to look over at my 6 bottom tier young guns wondering when I’ll get lucky 😂

Yeah thats the usual for me too, I think a lot of people are full of shit with the hits they get

I totally understand. It has been this way at Upper Deck for years (so it seems). There will be 20,000 boxes or so printed out and just the average (as stated on the box), and you get a occasional killer "hit" type card out blaster/box/hanger pack/pack. Then all of a sudden there's a print cut of about 15,000 boxes, and everything is absolutely loaded. Hobby box has 3 canvas YG's, 8 YG's (and three are higher end) and your inserts are good too (sure you get the "meh" type ones that $1-$5), but you get 1/1's, printing plates and others.
Can't explain it.
Last year bought a blaster of the extended series at Walmart. I got 3 YG's, 6 inserts (2 were Dazzlers), and a canvas YG of Romanov. That card was $60 then. Now it is $30. Still worth something, but not as high as Montreal stinks.

I ripped my box today, and my first young guns was a Caufield French, my second was a regular Caufield. I was so hyped haha!!
Dazzlers are just about the nicest inserts I've seen in any sports product for the last 4 years. Absolutely love them. Hundo P on the other hand....

man i was hyped for this bullshit and my hobby box had 5 young guns in it and no hobby exclusive, i don’t think i’m ever buying a hobby box again i have the worst luck
@@Spencer8242 I'm with you man UD hates my guts I'm sure I am the last guy anyone would ever want to open their UD packs. It is just so disheartning isn't it. Then you will watch someone else open a box and they get a bomb box. Makes you want to smash all their cards ehh. Hahaha just kidding.

Ripped a great box this morning. I pulled 9 Young Guns, including Zegras, Knight, and Pinto! Also got an Aho Honor Roll /250.

HEY, good for you! I've watched almost 100 boxes of this opened and FINALLY someone has called that colour (or lack thereof) on the portraits "sepia" instead of "black and white." I have seen more problems with quality than I'd like. One guy got a pack with one card in it. Lots of ripped card backs and roller tracks. Corners aren't as bad as last year, but still some issues. Another guy got only 4 YG's in a box. I have 2 boxes on the way and I am hoping for that Byfield canvas too. I don't think I'll get a Zegras YG. Maybe I'm wrong, but that card seems to have been mysteriously OVER-limited. Hopefully your case will prove me wrong. Good luck. I'll be watching.
Looking forward to seeing a case opened... As, so far, I’m seeing A LOT of people pulling those pink Canvas young guns. So I’m interested in seeing if those are mass produced.
those are the normal canvas ygs, the only variations are the black and printing plates

Knight's gotta be the most over hyped goalie in ages. Swayman's what 1 year older and has been substantially better to this point in their careers.
Bought 6 boxes from my LCS and ended up with 5 canvas Young guns - one of them being the Byfield. 2 Caufield regular YG's and a Matthews honor roll out of /250
I have opened 2 boxes so far. I hit a Clear Cut Picks. 1 in 1,100 packs. Swayman YG, Newhook Canvas YG, YG Canvas Checklist. A nice taste.
I have a case coming that shipped last week. CAN'T WAIT.
The box I got was pretty underwhelming, best YG was Lind, my hobby exclusive was a gold hundo p Anders Lee, and I'd say the best was a blue Knight dazzler, so....yeah. I think they delayed it in order to produce more or something. Best of luck on the case though!

Nice to finally see series one. Most Inserts are nothing fancy (including the young guns). Dazzlers and canvas are beauties though.

I got two packs with seven cards in them too. Also no numbered cards in 3 boxes. They just be printing a lot of these. The ygs were all in great condition, but the base was rounded again....

Opened four packs. Got a YG Swayman and a Dazzlers Zegras! Probably the best luck I’ve ever had (isn’t saying much) haha
This year's Ygs seem to have a lot of issues with corners/Edges. As for me I'm waiting till it hits Epack.

Ya I think they mass produced them. I got 8 in my case. I also got rough cut edges on my young guns. Caufield, Swayman and Knight all rough edges all the way up the sides. And no Zegras.....in the entire case!! Wasn't too impressed with the quality of the Young Gus.

I got poop in my hobby box for 140$. So i got frustrated and bought spencer knight yg, brinecat yg, laine yg, robertson yg and batherson yg for less than that poop box lol. Atleast i remembered why i hate buying boxes lol

Last night I pulled Quinton Byfield Black UD Canvas YG from my very first pack of the year!
i had a 4 card pack, luckily there was a ygc. also had a base base pack no french in it.

Man you need to contact upper deck about missing cards and completely ruined cards. This is ridiculous for how expensive cards are nowadays. They shouldn't be able to get away with this anymore. Where's the quality control when they're charging over $100 for new hobby boxes.

Guaranteed to pay top dollar now a days for cards that may come damaged like that one you got and this is becoming so ridiculous! The price of collecting has gone way up while the automation and lack of pre shipment inspections should be making it go down. Factor in the odds of even getting a PSA 10 in a pack in todays market with some some of these boxes/cases and it's hard to believe what people still pay. I agree that a PSA 10 should be valuable...but buying a pack should be less expensive if there is such a slim chance of it being a 10 right out of the box! Todays prices are based on what COULD be inside, again based on odds of print. Well then quality seriously needs to be factored into to that price per pack, no? I wouldn't buy a car for full price with defects....why is everyone ok with this? Could you imagine getting a case hit with that kind of damage? If quality can't go up, price per pack should go WAY DOWN! And odds per pack should also include odds of damage somehow lol It was fine to pay $4 for 30 cents worth of cards. But now paying $16+ for 30 cents of cards is dumb!

When I opened up my case had about 4 packs with about 4 cards in it-I didn't get e Young guns exclusives either.
UD takes 4 extra months , still releases a terrible product with horrible quality control , it is no wonder they have become the joke of the industry

I went and checked out that break group and they charge to much for teams with no young guns and little cards on the check list like Winnipeg other groups change 15$ a case and there like 25 way to much

This product genuinely isn’t worth opening for the price point now.
And by the time they have it in stock in /my/ area, it’s going to be a 400$ box for no fucking reason.
Look at the base cards and tell me where the player’s position is printed. Is it possible that they forgot to put positions on the freaking base cards?
