@Vino Right on the money, and ironically 2015 was the best LeBron ever even better than his 2013 self and especially 2014 where he looked tired and was uninterested in those finals, while averaging 28 ppg it was not a good finals for him or anyone else on that Heat team, however although Wade’s knees had betrayed him that year and he was a shell of himself, 2015 he wasn’t necessarily back to be the superstar he once was but he was revived as a star and motivated so him along with LeBron, Bosh, Dragic and Whiteside would be a nightmare for golden state as LeBron almost beat them with 2nd and 3 stringers

I just love what Spo had changed with that team in the off season. I don't think Wade and LeBron attempted a 3 pointer for like 5 or 10 games. They both did all their work in that med range and post area. He has another rule I think if you rebound the ball you can do whatever you want. But if they score and you have to inbound it. We have to run a play. It's a pure balance to get your team to play defense. But also not rob them of their creativity.

The reason this Miami/lebron team was so great is because of the supporting cast. Cole and Chalmers were elite perimeter defenders and were plus-offensive players back then thanks to being solid catch and shoot guys and capable ball handlers. When you have LeBron and a D Wade that is in the last year of his prime, that's really all you need. Add in a third All Star in Bosh, a former all star in Ray Allen, and some of the greatest role players in the last 20 years like battier, Miller and Birdman...and you get the best team of the past 20 years. That's not even mentioning guys that could give plus-minutes in a pinch like haslem, turiaf and James Jones.

@@kstewart199375 Im not very sure what you mean by that. Lebron already had a lot of experience in the conference finals and the finals itself at that point in 07.
Lebron understimated the Mavs, they had elite defense, and Lebron fizzled out because he couldnt score in the paint with 2 7 footers sitting there and he didnt have a reliable jumper yet. Playing off ball at the dunker's spot completely limits his greatest strengths as a passer a d splitting the defense. Wade plays a similar role as Lebron, but he had a jumpshot so he flourished when the defrnce would pack the paint when Lebron held the ball at the start of the offence.
Once they switched roles, Wade started getting hurt and slowed down, and Lebron took over their transition heavy offence. Statistically speaking, Lebron as the man PG was 6.8 points better than when Wade was PG. And the Heat were better defensively by 4.5 with Lebron on the court.
I don't mean to diss Wade, I love the guy, but his injuries and menisuc surgery was catching up to him at the end of 2014. He carried that Heat team when Lebron shrunk, and he'll always be my fave of the big 3. I'm just looking at this objectively and where they stand when Wade hit his 30s. I would say without the 2011 finals loss
I don’t think wade and lebron would get better at posting up which it lengthened their career as well
Coz you see they weren’t posting up so well in 2011, they still were scoring mainly via pick and roll and drives
That’s why dallas can stop them because they couldn’t punish undersized guard of dallas like barea/terry down on the block
So in 2012 and afterwards they have become so much better at posting up which allowed them to play through their strength which is mid range and inside game
Also kudos to Wade for letting lebron to take the key because he realized it can make lebron, him and the team better from his sacrifice

This is why I say this Heat team would have been great to see stay together if Wade could stay healthy add a few young pieces like the continuity and ability to switch on defense and just swarm teams was soo impressive. I feel like they could’ve won 2 more chips against a young inexperienced Warriors team. But Bosh and Wade’s health derailed that possibility. Definitely could have been an all time great dynasty
